This place was clean and had a friendly staff...what else could you possibly need when you are looking for a budget friendly place to stay. It's a great option for the asking price. Conveniently located as well. There is a grocery store, family dollar, and cvs directly across the street as well as a cute lil' diner called "Cruizers"...super cut and great food.

Great budget motel option

Very clean! Nicer than it looks from outside. It's an older hotel that was obviously built solidly because you can't hear your neighbors talking and the floors are quiet. Very nice place and the owner is great. I would absolutely stay here again. 

Great hotel!

Went into this place with low expectations - but there’s not a lot to choose from in this town. Front desk friendly - but room was sketchy. 

Bathrooms were the worst. Adhesive tiles on the floor were old (I used the same ones on a rental property I owned back in the mid-90’s. The tiles were old, worn, filthy, and had a gray grime discolor in all of the corners. It was pretty bad. The shower had handles that stuck and it was hard to turn on (sink was same way).  It was hard to get anything but scalding got water for showers - no cool water was coming out of the faucet.  Tub drain was VERY slow - so we’d stand in hot dirty water the full shower. The towels were literally the oldest towels I’ve ever seen at any hotel - Ever. Rough, thin, stained, and frayed. They looked like garage towels that were ready to retire. They were bad. 

The toilet was clean, but the seat was broken in two places. Super tiny soap bars and ketchup packet shampoo samples. 

Bed sheets were old and stained, too. No blanket - just a thin sheet and a not so clean bedspread. Beds were not all that comfortable. 

Doors do not offer a deadbolt - just a push in handle lock. It does have a latch chain, at least.  Would be easy to break into if empty. 

On a positive note the WiFi worked well and the room was very large. That’s about it, though. 

I review every hotel I stay in — both the good and the bad. I travel quite often for work and pleasure and use TripAdvisor for all of my booking research. I pass my knowledge and experience back to the community. You can trust my opinions are accurate and honest. 

Meh...  more bad then good here. 

I spent one night in this flea bag, never again. The room and hallway smelled like stale cigarette smoke. The shower head didn't work. The towels were thin and rough. It was stinky, uncomfortable and noisy. Never again.

This the worst excuse for a motel ever. Drive the extra 20 miles to Knox or Rochester

Our third time staying here.  They have put new furniture and painted the rooms.  Very nice.  Also have bigger flat screen tv’s with over 70 channels.  Owner said they are redoing the bathrooms next.  Comfortable bed, slept great.  Can’t beat this for the price.  Look forward to next years stay.  I will post photos of the room soon.

Remodeled and nice!

This was probably the worst motel I ever stayed in. The bathtub didn't drain, which they fixed. The toilet was plugged, to which they gave me a plunger to use for the duration of my stay. The air conditioning did not work well and that was never even addressed. Most of the residents in this motel are most likely seasonal workers and there is a bus outside which takes them to work everyday. When the bus starts in the morning, the diesel fuel wafts through the entire building because the doors are propped open always. The carpeting in the rooms need a really good shampooing. The tub had been painted - most likely to hide the stains. There was a toilet paper roll in the bathroom that had blood on it. There was a loud and angry fight in the hallway on Saturday night. Stay someplace else; this motel is cheap and definitely not worth it.

Stay in Knox

I had an upstairs room, people downstairs must have been smoking like freight trains and it seeped into my room.  Shower didn't work.

Everything else about the place is pretty normal.  Hall carpets are old but clean, same with the room furnishings.

Front staff was friendly but...

I stay Here Here Every Last Weekend in July I Always Go to Winamac Indiana at that time for a Family Reunion the rooms are A Good Size Clean And Staff Are Very Friendly I have Never Had A Complaint here in all the years I have Been Staying here And Many Times I Arrive Very Late and with just a call to let them know i am running Late they keep my room avaiable and are ready with my key when I arrive Very Nice People Always Try to please Their Guests
