Excellent location, quiet and clean room, comfortable beds. Breakfast could use more attention - cold cereal, hard boiled eggs and cheese are not top notch B&B fare.  With better coffee and breakfast cooked to order this place would be ideal.

Nice room in a great location

So The owners clearly respond and follow Booking.com reviews. My friend was the one who made the reservations not  me. So I can't physically post a review there. Only he can. 

So I will post one here and everywhere else that I can. 

Let me start off by saying I am sure the owners mean well but if I were them I would hang my head in shame at what they have done. This has to be one of the single worst Bed and Breakfasts I have ever stayed at.

A few things normally happen at a bed and breakfast. 

1. You see the host a lot. 
2. The breakfast is really big and plentiful and you  feel like you have become part of their family. 
3. Most questions or concerns are handled with professionalism or respect. 

None of this happened here.

Let me start off by explaining a little bit about myself.  
I have Essential Tremors.  Short description is It causes my hands to shake when doing certain tasks. Usually more involved tasks. parallel parking is one. We'll get back to why I mentioned this later. 

I also have IBS. Which actually more people have than do not have. We will get to why this is important to know as well soon. 

1. Parking, Since parallel parking is difficult for me and having family in boston I know parking can be tough I plan to park at garages near wherever I am going to be.  

The Bed and Breakfast set up the side drive way as four spots. One car in each corner with a car sized space in between. 

The spots were labeled  
1 in the front left 
2 in the right rear
3 in the rear left 

We were room three so we had spot three. pulling in forwards would have made backing out near impossible in the morning so I backed in... This was basically Parallel parking. My friend when they saw the host asked if I could be switched to spot 2 as no one was staying in that room and too much Parallel parking actually hurts my hands. 

Her response was. That would cause chaos maybe he shouldnt be driving. I drive just fine I just know and plan to avoid doing things that would cause me  pain. The response she gave technically ignores ADA code. If someone tells you they have a disability you have to legally do everything within your power to help them. We looked on booking.com, We knew that the room assigned to that spot was not occupied so it should not have been that big of a deal

Part 2 of this is that they actually have a handicapped room. Room # 4

That room however ended up parking in the spot for  room # 2. 

And the people who were in that room were clearly not handicapped. So not only did they shuffle rooms around for the spots anyways but they gave away the handicapped room. 

Now why did  I mention my IBS. More people actually have IBS than do not. Many who have are told not to have too much grain or oats/nuts as it might irritate your IBS. 

What cereal did she have at the breakfast?

Raisin bran or Honey Bunches of Oats. 

 At least have something else.

Also there were no traditional breakfast eggs

just harplate d boiled ones.

There w ere no pancakes or waffles or French Toast. Just various breads in a baggy and a with Cheese, Boiled eggs, Sausage, and some other things. There was a small bowl of mixed fruit. 
That's it. No gluten free, No special alternate options for people with issues

We rarely ever saw her. Now she did ask if everyting was okay and if not just knock on the kitchen door and she will get it. Well she already made us feel so unwelcomed that we didn't want to bother her. God forbid we create Chaos.  I'm Not sure what they were trying to achieve but  they failed at it. I have seen better motel 6's.

failure, abject failure

The people do not even greet you.  It was hot for Boston.  However they did not even turn our AC unit on for us.  The room was so so hot!!  We were sweating more in the house then outside!  Rude notes throughout the house and rooms.   Parking is very tight.   Better have a small car!!   Closets are locked and cannot be used.   We were emailing them over and over and never got help!    We definitely do not recommend this place at all!  Very Old and out dated.     All you can hear all night long is the airplanes coming in and out at the airport.  Pictures online do not match with the real rooms.   We felt gross just being there!   Do not waste your money on this place!   

Rude and terrible people running this

We were really disappointed with our stay. The number one issue, which really tainted the whole experience, was the owner/manager’s attitude. We arrived shortly before 4, the check-in time, and called her asking if we could get the keys. There was a note on the door saying to not call until it was 4, but it close enough that we felt it should be fine. We were told we had to wait until exactly 4 because the cleaning wasn’t finished. We wandered around for another 20 minutes and then approached the door again. At this point it was past 4 and another couple was also waiting to check in, having also been told to come back. The manager/owner walked out a few minutes later, and handed us each a 2-sides piece of paper with instructions for our stay. She told us explicitly not to come in until we had read the whole thing thoroughly. She closed the door and went back inside. We were all kind of shocked but read over our instructions and then proceeded to come in (separately, as instructed, so as to each make sure we knew how to operate the door). Although we didn’t interact with this woman again, her tone was everywhere in the B&B. There were printed notes everywhere about what to do and not to do, which was really off putting. It was the opposite of friendly and welcoming. Upon going up to our room, we realized that our private bathroom was actually down the hall from our room, so didn’t feel super private. To shower or use the bathroom we had to go through a hallway that others had access to. This wasn’t something mentioned in advance. There were also cameras everywhere which felt very intrusive, especially since we had to leave our room to use the restroom. There were some smaller issues too, like no hooks in the bathroom for bath towels (yet, notes in the bedroom instructing us to not leave towels on the furniture), no shower mat, a shower curtain rod that fell because it wasn’t secured, decorative objects that just cluttered the space and made it difficult to navigate, etc. For the price we paid, this was all really disappointing. We could have stayed at a motel for half the cost or less and had a better expertise. We won’t be staying here again, and can’t recommend it. I hope the owner takes the feedback above into consideration. 

Very disappointing - won’t return.

The proximity of this property to the airport was our reason for choosing it. Unfortunately, as the proprietor announced that they were UNABLE to store our luggage for a few hours, we had to spend nine hours at the airport instead of touring Boston. As highlighted in other reviews, security is loose - although the neighbourhood seems quiet. The codes for the outer door were taped to it in letters to guests. Notices in the room said luggage could be left but (perhaps because we had asked whether they had storage for valuables) we were told in the morning  that we could not leave our luggage in the hallway as they could not be responsible for it. This totally spoiled our last day in Boston and our favourable impression of New England hospitality. 

You CANNOT leave luggage

I am sorry to say that we were rather disappointed in our stay. 
The property has the potential to be good but compared to most other properties of a similar type and price this one falls well short. 
The best bits were the bed which was comfortable and the breakfast which was quite good. 
However as previously reviewed the noise from the airport is ridiculous and the security issue should be reviewed and addressed. 
Overall the cleanliness left something to be desired and the welcome was somewhat underwhelming.
The location is good for the airport but the downside is the noise. 
Unfortunately I really could not recommend this property. There is potential for it to be very good but it is far from that at the moment.

Difficult to find any positives

I've raised a complaint with the hotel and given them to opportunity to apologise and remedy the situation before giving a review but unfortunately this was met by excuses. In the circumstances, this is unfortunately a very negative review. There are serious issues other travellers might want to be aware of:

The noise from the nearby airport is extremely loud, to the extent it disrupts sleep. The hotel says the windows are double glazed and spundproofed but it is still extremely loud. The air con unit is also loud and you can hear other guests moving around, doors closing etc.

The security is a concern. On arrival we were very surprised to see the names of all guests in large print on paper stuck to the front door, which was visible from the street. The pieces of paper include the door code (so anyone could read that) and which room you are in, which is left open with the key inside. The lock on the door is a simple lock on the handle. A small sliding lock didn't work in our room. Given two of the bedrooms have a shared bathroom across an open hallway this lack of security was a concern for us. However, thankfully nothing untoward happened.

We were also disappointed by the general maintenance, cleanliness and lack of service but these were minor concerns compared to the noise and security issues.

Noisy and questionable security

We looked for a place to book one night before flying to Germany the next day that would not be too far from Logan. Although this B & B does not offer shuttle service, they have an arrangement with a taxi service, and the price is very reasonable. We enjoyed our stay, and my husband also enjoyed the pool. Friendly hostess, continental breakfast not bad.

This was a great hotel! Great staff! Beautiful house! Toiletries were there for your use! Superb shower! Rooms were nicely decorated! Soft bed! Joan was the best to offer you a delicious breakfast! I highly recommend it!  Close the the BOS! 

A house me away from Home

First trip to Boston.  Convenient to airport and transit.  We arrived late in the evening, found our large, comfortable room and slept well.  Lots of advice from Joan got us on the move in the morning, found our way in, around and out of Boston.  Checked out after 3 nights planning to return.
