My review from a 3 night stay in the double room on the second floor (the one with red walls): 
Pros: 
- Dominika was very friendly
- Very accommodating and welcoming
Cons: 
- Very uncomfortable sagging mattress 
- 2 cats that constantly went into the room (broken door latch couldn't keep them out). This should have been mentioned on her website since a lot of people have allergies. 
- I hate to write this, but the pictures are deceiving. Yes, it has the "charm" that comes with being an older homes but it could highly benefit from some upgrades and de-cluttering.

Owners of the place were very friendly, hospitable, and helpful.  Dominika shares our passion for mushroom hunting, and went above and beyond to accommodate our “special needs”: she allowed us to use her oven for extended period of time to dry the mushrooms we collected, and she watched it for us while we were out.  Linda gave me a wonderful tour of their gorgeous garden. The garden is incredible, definitely spend time there if you can. We also got good recommendations and had interesting conversations with our hosts.  Breakfasts were good as well.  House is beautifully and uniquely decorated. 

But there were several serious issues that made our stay not as pleasant as we had expected.  The house is old, and with the huge collection of paper books and objects of art it smells wet, dusty and moldy.  Blankets and pillows hold the same strong odor.  The bad quality (old?) mattress in the downstairs bedroom is absolutely not suitable for someone with sensitive back.  Cell phone (I have an AT&T service) does not work – at least in the downstairs bedroom, and with my need to be able to respond to work related calls at any time, this would have been a deal breaker. I believe this needs to be disclosed to the potential guests. 

Presence of the Indore cats needs to be disclosed at the beginning for people with allergies or those who are just not comfortable sharing their leaving space with cats.

I can't say whether the negatives outweighed all the positives, but it certainly made our trip far more stressful and less enjoyable.

Very mixed feelings about our stay

Very pleasant Bed and Breakfast.  Easy to find, lovely gardens, fabulous breakfast. An older building that has been remodeled.  The kitchen and dining area is glorious. Hugh and meticulously kept up.  Beautiful plants surround you.

Incredible Breakfast, Great Owners, Lovely Rooms

Selected this B&B because we needed a certain location and quick stay.  Wasn't looking to a deluxe hotel just a place to spend 2 nights.  It was not easy to find but not difficult either.  The place is pretty much covered with vegetation so be prepared for that.  It is a very old home and thus had a pretty musty atmosphere.  Not extremely clean.  We had cob/dust webs in the corner behind the door and the books on the shelf were very dusty.  The parking area is fairly small but ok.

The breakfast was small.  Good coffee.  People and owners were friendly, hospitable, and helpful.  Worth the cost and not far off Rt 1.  Quiet location.



Brief Stay - Sleep and Go

The structure is practically a dwelling. It enjoys a good quiet location. It has a nice garden for common use. The staff is welcoming and friendly. From my point of view it is still too overrated. Breakfast is scarce, privacy is non-existent due to the lack of a lock in the rooms and for the common bathroom, and there is even the cat that has the bedding in the bathroom. The cost of overnight stays is high. It is a hostel accommodation with prices from a good motel. In the surroundings there is little to do because the things to see are far away; so I recommend stretching a few meters and looking for other accommodations.

Little bed and little breakfast

I came to this wonderful place on the basis of earlier reviews, but wow was I ever surprised and exhilarated!  I arrived just as the seasons were shifting - it was getting very cold and dark in Maine.  I knew how glorious the mid-coast was, but I was yet to find out that one's place on the coast, where one hangs his hat and kicks up his feet can make all the difference.  Suffice it to say that Dominika's instant glowing welcome, from amidst stacks of novels that already speak to me and her spitfire partner Linda's black-and-white photographs, photo shoots of nature, set the stage for a stay like no others.  We talked and talked, became fast friends.  Every morning there was a new culinary discovery before I took off on an expedition.  And they recommended gorgeous hikes to walk off an exceptional buckwheat pancake or splendidly whipped up frittata.  Our morning conversations were delights and sealed an instant connection - I only hope I can cook up as much fun when I return the favor some day.  Accommodations were funky and excellent in their old house, and the splendor of their never-ending garden, evolving along beloved crooked pathways in a world that defaults to what's square and predictable, inspired me to get in touch with a side of New England I might otherwise have missed.  I'll come back and I'll come home to Le Vatout and to what is good in life!

Magical, lyrical and gorgeous

This B&B is directly off Route 1 on your way to Rockland. Could be easier to find off Kaler's Corner if the sign were better situated though. The hosts are very nice and make a great breakfast. Generally only one parking spot per room, which could be an issue for some. We were lucky in that one room was empty when we arrived so it was OK. They have a cat, so if you are allergic this will be an issue. Two of the rooms, the two with two double beds, share a bathroom. Wasn't a problem for us because the other room was empty. The garden is incredible, definitely spend time there if you stay here, it is like something out of Alice in Wonderland. Great recommendations and conversation from the hosts. Short drives to Rockland and Daramiscotta from here but much quieter in Waldoboro.

What could be better?  A delightful breakfast of duck egg, sausage, potatoes and fresh herbs from the garden prepared by the skillful hand of Dominka.  Our hosts were genuinely warm and friendly which accounts for the delightful and interesting guest they attract.  Lots of good conversation, laughter and wonderful sleeping accommodations in a small hamlet tucked away in the pines of Maine.  TO QUOTE COLE PORTER< 'YOU'RE THE TOPS".
