Very affordable and comfortable. The owner checked us in and was extremely friendly. The king size bed was very comfortable. The location was great for walking on the strip for food and drinks.  I'd definitely start here again.

Highly recommend 

Checked in for a 3 night stay with my son. For several years we have been traveling up to the area to spend time with family and always prefer to give back to the “mom and pop” motels when we are in the area. After the first night woke up with a puffy eye-after the second night-my eye was nearly closed. Visited urgent care which informed me most likely a bacterial infection from swimming. We decided to check out 9 am before checkout time. When I went to the office to explain my situation (and the women could clearly tell) we were going to head home due to the situation. She of course apologized but refused to refund the last night-even though we were leaving well before there check out time of 10am. Pretty sad to take advantage of people during a medical situation and will recommend to family and friends to not stay here.

Pay day by day as they will keep your money

This is an old school motel in the older part of Wisconsin Dells, and we loved it.  We were on the second floor (the stairs and walkways are outdoors).  Room was good sized, and it was clean and comfortable.  Very friendly owners.  Would be happy to return.

Nice old school motel in Wisconsin Dells

Nice little nostalgic motel. Walking distance to downtown Dells shops and restaurants. Friendly owners, family owned, clean. Not alot of ammenities but reasonably priced. Waterpark tickets are included with stay. Great if you want something other than the big corporate resorts.

Quaint, family owned motel.

This motel has a very good location, it's an easy walk to the Dells activities.  The room was clean, nothing fancy, but a nice enough, normal motel room.  The staff were friendly and helpful.  They have a nice looking pool, but we didn't get to try it.

Good choice

We selected the Starlite for  a two-night stay because it was walking distance to downtown Wisconsin Dells while still being far enough away from the noise. We also liked how they discourage and do not tolerate loud groups celebrating the night away while everyone else struggles to sleep. That probably explains why this family-owned motel offers a good night's sleep without disruptive noise. We had a second-floor room, and since it is a motel, if you can't haul your luggage up, make sure to request a first-floor room. Outside of each room, two chairs and a table with an ash tray are placed so you can sit outside if you'd like. Our room was roomy with a king-sized bed and impeccably clean. I appreciated the softness of the sheets. The gray carpet looked new, as did the paint on the walls. Since this is an older motel, the bathroom is dated, but it is clean and functions, which is all I require. No housekeeping was taking place because of Covid, which is also fine with us. If you needed anything, you were instructed to ask. We didn't require anything. There is no coffee maker in the room or hair dryer, which is stated on the motel's website. Coffee is offered in the office in the morning. The office also has a lot of brochures to help with sightseeing activities. Our room only had one nightstand and one reading lamp on one side of the bed, so bring a reading light if that is important to you. We also had a table and two chairs which had another lamp on it. A dresser and a large flat screen TV are also in the room. The mini-refrigerator is turned off when you arrive, so plan to leave food and beverages in a cooler until it revs up. The air conditioner works fine and is remote control operated. While we didn't use it, there is a good-sized pool outside that was crystal clear. A few people used it while we were here. The Starlite is an excellent value and we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Comfortable, quiet and affordable

My granddaughters and I enjoyed staying at the Starlite Motel.  The owner was very friendly, the room was neat and clean and the pool was refreshing.  I would recommend this motel to everyone.  I like that it is locally owned.

people are very nice that own the place,the room was clean,and its your typical two star motel.What drives me nuts are flat pillows and i could not get comfortable.Hard to even sit up in the bed because it was so flat and my back hit the bedboard three times forgetting about it and it hurt. i slept with one of my bags under my pillow for height.Other then that it was in a prime spot on the street near all

an average motel

If you are expecting a Hilton, this is not your place.  I booked here tonight, because it is a value price, the rooms are very clean, the beds are comfortable, the staff was nice at check in and the property is quiet, but close to the downtown area of Wisconsin Dells. 

I was able to take a nice walk through the downtown area and along the river walk without getting into my car.  

I think the motel is quaint and will probably stay here again when passing through the area.

The decorations are not fancy, but the value for the comfort and proximity to downtown was quite nice. 

Good Value 

This morning is an easy walk to the downtown sights, was able to easily do it multiple times a day with my 5 and 7 year old. The motel was clean and comfortable, staff was pleasant, and the water park tickets were a wonderful bonus that the whole family enjoyed. For the price, I'd definitely stay here again, we enjoyed ourselves very much.
