On a long-distance bicycling trip, choose the Plymouth Inn due to the location downtown.  Love the old downtowns and their revitalization.  It is perfect. The Inn itself is basic but very well kept, maintained, and staffed.  Could not ask for more.  It is also directly downtown, with numerous restaurants, bars, and coffee shops.  If you are visiting Plymouth, this is the perfect place to stay.

Perfect Location, Very good independent Hotel.

We booked the Plymouth Inn because it was one of the few options in the area for this past weekend. 
Fatal error. This is one of the worst motel experience ever. 
The place is not maintained and dirty (forget about our current Covid concerns because they do not even care to have hand sanitizer anywhere)
Locks on room doors do not work, the carpet is filthy, the shower curtain is gross and the staff does not care. 
This hotel should be taken out of any decent listing. Terrible experience.

Terrible... stay away

Booked here for a 2 night stay for a wedding. After reading most of the reviews, I was terrified. Luckily, it was a very nice stay. 
The Good - My room was up to date. I talked with some locals and they are in the process of updating, I guess the hall flooring was new. It looked nice. Bathroom was clean as was the rest of the room. Beds were comfy. Coffee was hot and I have no problem with prepackaged food.  Walking distance from bars. Desk persons were nice. 
The "Bad" - They didn't have mattress covers; which grossed me out initially, but after checking the mattress I was fine. The sheets and towels are older and discolored, but you can tell they're clean. Housekeeping knocked a bit before checkout, but was very courteous. There is no elevator, but it's only a 2 floor building, so not a big deal.
All in all, I would stay here again.

Nice stay

The hotel is located in a worderful area in the city of Plymouth, near historic main street. The facilities are very good - spacious and clean well arranged room; nice people on the desk. Breakfast should be better. 

Plymouth, a beautiful historical place

We stayed for a night because we in town for a wedding.

The room was comfortable but a bit shabby.  It was good and quiet.

They didn’t have a breakfast because “the owner didn’t get any ingredients”.

The pool was closed.
 
They were redoing the flooring in the laundry room.  They weren’t too quiet about it, early in the morning.

Not a value 

I think a little effort would have been nice. The website boasts a nice continental breakfast with freshly baked goods.. I could have found everything there in a vending machine at any gas station. pre package food, literally still in the packages. 
For the price you would have thought I was staying at Caesar's Palace, or the Hyatt Regency. Not some hole in the wall.  Oh and yes there was a hole in the wall.  
Sheets were not changed or the bed fixed or the towels replaced during my three night stay. 
The décor is at least 3 decades old. probably the last time it was painted. 
The website also bragged about its hot tub. I saw it and it had obviously been out of order for some time.
The refrigerator was so loud in my room I had to unplug it to get any sleep at all.   
So my recommendation is DON'T

DON'T  - REALLY - JUST DON'T

Their was no breakfast the one night we stayed there because of not many people. Only one bed was made and no new sheets. And never replaced our coffee and no water in hot tub and didn't have coffee when needed.

Our stay there

I am disabled so requested a disabled room. Well I guess I didn't according to them. But Common sense would be I'd like to take a shower, which I couldn't, and go to the bathroom by myself, that was a big no to. Then not to mention no elevator and our room was on the 2nd floor, just great Right?  Now the good part (not) they say we have another hotel all on one floor, we follow them in our car to this place - picture bates hotel but with out the cleanliness that's right a weekly hotel for transients (maybe not but that's the vibe we all got). One room my husband just said no to and the other smelled of urine he didn't get in the door. So back to original rooms and dealt with in. Ok room nothing special old beds yellowing towels and when I called to complain she hung up on me after she told me they were trying to accommodate us and it was my opinion that the place was nasty. Needless to say not impressed

Horrendous experience

The owner of this "hotel" should be ashamed of himself. This place is absolutely disgusting. $110 per night for a place that shouldn't charge more than a roach motel. 

We stayed here because it was the only place available within 15 miles of a family event. The first night we stayed in a room with a clogged toilet. We moved into a different room the next day. Toilet kind of worked and the carpet was newer. At bedtime, we pulled the sheets down to find dirty sheets filled with stains, hair, pubic hair and other disgustingness all over. Called down to the front desk and ask for new sheets, which were changed promptly. The box spring had nasty brown stains (poop??) on it and was not covered by anything. The lampshades were cracked and the furniture is all old and dirty. Our view was of the neighbor's boat and old junk yard of broken furniture. Lovely.

The rest of the hotel is just as dirty and disappointing as the room. No bottled water to be found anywhere and the pop machine is mostly empty. The walls and carpet in the hallways are nasty and stained. The "breakfast" provided consists of week old donuts and rewrapped muffins. 

Bottom line...do yourself a favor and drive a little further to stay somewhere else. We recommend the Stanton Inn in Chilton. We usually stay there, but it was full. Drive to Appleton if you have to, but DO NOT stay at the Plymouth Inn. Do not give the owner of this hotel any more business. This place should be shut down and gutted.
