I've stayed here a half dozen times to visit my sister nearby over the past 3 years. It's cheap and I'm not picky but this visit no sound on my room TV and electrical issues with bedside light. They came in and fixed the TV but an hour later problem was back. Bedside light shorted in and out all evening. Put me is a smoking room by mistake but I let them off the hook for that. New management still figuring out how to run the place. Beware.

New management, room maintenance suffering

Older motel remodeled and redecorated nicely.  Huge room with pretty much all one would expect other than no coffee and no hair dryer.  Otherwise, clean and comfy with big tv and good wifi.  Priced below all the franchise motels across I-5.  Close to the Nugget market - a nice bonus.

Another Nice Surprise

When I was done paying for the hotel the floor was so dirty, the furniture was really dirty, we saw some bugs around. The wifi wasn’t working well the tv didn’t work. My mother literally had to clean up the hotel I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Dirty Hotel

They advertise stuff they don't have on there website. I been to many hotels during these crisis with corona virus. And they all have breakfast in bags and most difinetly serve coffee for the guest. Even though this place does not offer breakfast they most certainly advertise coffee in the lobby they do not offer coffee and they do not offer HBO like they claim to do on the website. And with these false claims the also ask for $100 deposit when you check in which is far to much without what the claim to offer for a comfortable stay.

My second time here first time my experience was ok.
But this time towels having black spot and one of them a hole...

Also the TV had no sound i was tryingeverythingto make work but no luck..
You get what you pay for.

I stayed here on the final night of a 5 day road trip. This is the nicest of all the properties I stayed at. For comparison, the other properties were Super 8 and Rodeway Inn. Everything about Journey Inn is superior. Bigger rooms, more comfortable bed and pillows, nicer toiletries, better access to outlets and USB ports, hardwood floors instead of carpet. The front desk person is not particularly friendly,  but I have stayed here before, so I have grown used to his personality. I would recommend this property highly; just be aware service is a little less than friendly. If you are budget-minded, you get a really nice motel for a modest price. So if the service aspect is a bit lacking, I don't consider it much of a problem.

Very spacious and clean

Should be negative stars. There is nothing redeeming about this place. Sad depressing dirty and the manager has no concept of customer service. I booked a non smoking room and when I arrived they told me I booked a smoking room. I went to check it out and it was really really gross. Like a fully ripped up couch, missing light fixtures, and the smell of Las Vegas.  A place you might go to shoot up with drugs. I told the manager I could not stay in it and that I would like a non smoking room. He said I was stuck with this room and would not refund me. I left and found a great place down the street. Steer clear of this place!

Such a sad little motel

The Journey Inn was locked upon my arrival - sometime just after 1 a.m. in the morning.  They had a night bell which I rang numerous times and it was very loud.  I could hear it clearly outside the door.  After subsequent attempts ringing the bell.  I got in my car and called them from the parking spot immediately next to the office.  I advised to voicemail (no one answered phone) that I was just outside with a paid for reservation and desperately wanted to be in a bed.  I asked for an immediate call back which I NEVER received then or subsequently.  

I can't tell you how disappointing and frustrating this was. I had to find another hotel so I could get some sleep before a funeral the next morning. 

I'm a seasoned traveler and I know things go wrong and every eventuality cannot be planned for - but I would never never never stay at this place.  If you aren't going to answer the door after a certain time this should be clearly posted for those reserving.  Things go wrong, flights get in late (my issue).  Wow - I just have no other words.

Door locked and no one answered - paid for 2 day reservation!!

I recently stayed here, and it basically met (or exceed) my expectations. 

If you're looking for a high $$$ Hilton type hotel, well this may not be the right choice for you, but if you're looking for a convenient (SAC Airport, 15 minute drive), clean, no frill hotel at a great price, IMO this is a great choice. Easy walking distance to several restaurants, and easy parking and check in. 

Also, while the manager who checked me in didn't exactly greet me with a big hug and flowers, he was polite and helpful, and frankly that's really all I need.

 I will stay here again in the future.
