The cabin was clean and felt comfortable and had everything we needed. Great location! Was quiet and felt safe. Close to restaurants and local shops. Would definitely stay here again when visiting the area. 

Clean and comfortable

We chose the Sally cabin.  Good fit for our needs.  The cabin does need some updates but nothing bothered us.  More wall hooks to hang things need to be installed. The remotes for the 2 ceiling fans were missing so we were stuck on what it was set to.  When I slept on the pullout bed I used my box fan app for noise since I could not use the ceiling fan in the living room.  Kitchen pots and pans and utensils need to be replaced.  We had a set of criteria we needed met and 2 of the major ones that were advertised were not there; no working hot tub and no outdoor grill at the cabin.  This was very inconvenient for us.

Good but not as advetised.

Stayed in a quiet duplex cabin, big living room with small kitchenette, tv in LR and bedroom, good heating, easy walk to town. GREAT waffles and pastries at the lodge included. Loved it! Would stay here again.

Great visit

This was such a disappointment. We found this place online, the website looked good and it was described as a quaint place with scenic views. Ummmm, no. It is literally a trailer park, there are trailers everywhere, where people live permanently. Our view was a construction site, with trash and debris everywhere. There was no air conditioning. And nowhere on their site does it say there is no air-conditioning. We stayed in one of the tiny houses, and even though they were really cute that was about all this place Had going for it. It says there's a hot tub on their site but the hot tub was closed the whole time we were there. There are signs everywhere that say you will be charged $250 if there is smoking of anything in your cabin, even if they smell smoke. Yet every morning when we woke up, we could smell people smoking weed throughout the camp. All of this wouldn't have been a big deal if we were paying around $80 a night but we paid $200 a night and we had to go buy an air conditioner for the time that we were there because the little house was so hot. I made the mistake of not reading reviews on yelp before we booked, won't be making that mistake again! Hopefully this review will help others. We were so sad with our experience. All that being said, Woodland Park, the town that this lodge is in, is absolutely beautiful, and has spectacular views as you're driving through it.

So disappointing!

After a long 12-hour drive, all we wanted to do was relax. So many things to discuss the misleading service and accommodations made this trip frustrating. This was supposed to have been a 2 and 1/2 week stay that ended early. 

Listing the cons of the stay. 
* Found out no AC and the house was hot. It was cool at night so that did help with open windows and a fan we brought.  
* I messaged the lodge to ask if there was plenty of parking for our suburban and 28ft toy hauler to park by the cabin, and their response was yes.  We found out that there was very little parking available anywhere. In fact this facility is very tiny.    
* I also asked if there was plenty of dishware service and towels provided for my family of five to use daily, and their response was yes. We only had enough silverware and plates for 4, and had probably 12 glasses and cups. Otherwise not enough cookware to cook a meal.   
* The trailer neighbor started a fight with my husband, saying we could not park there by our cabin, that spot was a drive thru so he could park his car and not have to back up by his trailer.  He did not care who gave us permission to park there.  Needless to say, the police were called. 
* I had to go to the office numerous times asking to have services provided.  I had to ask for toilet paper, kleenex, sheets changed, clean towels and etc.  Why should I have to ask for these services that are customarily done by housekeeping? When we arrived we also had less than half a roll of toilet paper to use.  
* Housekeeping did not even clean the floors.  I found a broom and did it myself a few times.  
* There was breakfast provided daily, but it was the same every day.  A person can eat only so many waffles.
* One day after returning from a family outing, we found a note left on our table. "Do not use towels to wipe off dirt and grim"  This was the straw that broke us.  I talked to the office staff and asked what was the meaning of this.  She stated they had to throw away a washcloth or two.  My response to her was if her housekeeping staff would be doing their job and cleaning our cabin and REPACING us with clean towels DAILY we would not have to have used them so many times.  
* Yes the photo shows a couch and a tv in the cabin, but where it is placed makes it impossible for the family to enjoy.  You can not see it from the tiny kitchen table, and you have to sit sideways on the couch.  We had to bring in the broken plastic chairs from outside just so my husband and boys could watch tv in the evening.  
* The misleading part was "lodge" and "RV park".  Normally an RV park is set up for travelers coming and going.  This was not the case.  The facility had maybe 3 sites for commuters, all the rest were the permanent trailer park residents. (trailer park) This was by far no lodge. 
* For the service that was not provided and the COST of the stay this was not worth the hassle.  It was a daily hassle to get service plus when I had to clean our cabin. 

Average pros
* It was a place to stay for my entire family. Even though the mattresses were on the floor upstairs and the queen mattress was so soft, leaving no support. My husband had to sleep on the fold-down couch.  
* Location was nice, It was fairly close to the dirtbike riding we were doing during the stay. 

Honestly, I had expected that my bill would have been reduced and discounted for all the issues we were having from hour 1.  We should have known and left when we had to call the police on their local trailer drunk.  It was extremely disappointing to have to pay such high prices to stay for such crappy service. It was not like the staff did not know of our disappointment, the manager told me at least a dozen times sorry for the drunk neighbor.  Yet she did quickly ask about charging the stay to my credit card.  Kinda nervy to charge full price fully knowing how much we complained.  
Overall it felt like I had to clean and provide my own clean towels, sheets, floors and etc when their housekeeping would not.  About all they did was take out our trash.  
Bristlecone Lodge Owners if your reading this.  You ruined our family trip and I would like a message response offering me a extreme discount or refund of some services.

Do Not Stay.. Misleading.. Not a lodge, but Permanent trailer park

Our three nights in "Spruce A" was great! The cabin was clean, the sheets/bedding/bed/pillows clean and high quality, the bath towels fluffy, and snuggly bathrobes in the closet! The plumbing is a little slow and lighting could be brighter, but overall, the venue exceeded our expectations.

Cozy and Comfortable!

We got moved to another place for the night. They had scheduling problems. While traveling there  the lady called and  asked if we wanted an upgrade so I agreed. Unfortunately it wasn’t an upgrade.  They also gave us a 10% cut because we moved. The place was just ok.  The bathroom was clean and the bed comfortable. There was shampoo etc. Otherwise the amenities were very few and it is very dated and somewhat clean. 
We were expecting more from the pictures and reviews. We were offered another 10% on a future stay. Unfortunately we won’t be taking advantage of that. When we checked in there was no explanation of games, dvd’s etc. so we sat in our room avoiding high winds with nothing to fill time with. We could have had games and movies. Didn’t know that till breakfast which was very minimal and we were sent back to our room to eat it.

Overnight stop

The cabin was clean but a little misleading.  There is no AC in the cabin, yes it does get cool at night but the air circulation inside leaves it warm and you can hear everything outside.  The kitchen was said to be fully equipped to cook in with pots, pans and dishes.  There was one pot and one bowl and a small pan.  There was no spatula, tongs or anything of the sort to cook with.  It was not fully equipped in my opinion.  The hot tub closes at 6:00 p.m. We were unable to use it in the evenings, they lock it up.  The TV would not stay off, we had to unplug it to get it to stay off.  When we arrived there was only a half a roll of toilet paper in the bathroom, my SIL was questioned when she went to ask for more.  Not exactly as described online unfortunately.

Could have been better....misleading

The room was pretty clean upon arrival but the front desk staff was less than hospitable and did not give us any kind of information regarding the property at all.  The cabin did not have air conditioning which was totally “not cool” since it was in the 90s while we were there. There were ceiling fans but only one was able to be adjusted to a high setting. There were zero standing fans. I also felt that there was not enough info in the room about the cabin such as where ice was located or when the breakfast was or how to get WiFi. Remotes didn’t work. I could keep going. Positives were it appeared clean. Enough room for 3-4 people to sleep and the cabins were separate from the monthly rentals where it was very densely populated

Zero Air Conditioning

If I could give zero stars I would. I have never experienced someone so rude and unprofessional as Rosie who works the front desk. when we arrived we were told the hot tub usually closes at 6pm but that she would leave it open until dark. So the kids got into their swimsuits and we walk down only to find that the hot tub was locked with a padlock. When I confronted her the following afternoon, she tried to lie and say it was open straight to my face. When I told her she was lying she then said well it was open later than usual and never offered an apology for the inconvenience. We also had to move our car multiple times because the genius who designed the layouts of the cabins only left one compact spot per cabin so if u have an SUV and the other cabin has an SUV you will be forced to move your car when the other cabin wants to leave. Long story short, we paid for two nights and left after the first night. When I asked for a refund, Rosie laughed and said all because you had to move your car a few times huh? The website description was horribly inaccurate, there is no a/c, staff locks everything and leaves at 6pm, and everything in the room is worn out and in disrepair. Really worn out furniture in the rooms, doors did not close and everything was beyond filthy. Do not waste your money staying here.
