My daughter and I stayed recently to visit the College of Wooster.  First, there is no elevator, so be prepared to carry your bags.  The original room we were given had a shade missing from one of the two windows (the existing shade looked worn out).  The second room had shades, but there was noise outside our room from loading food, maybe. The worst part was the shower that scalded my daughter's scalp as the water was either cold or burning.  The students working were pleasant and tried to be helpful, but the decor and bathrooms were very dated, and unappealing.  The breakfast was okay, though there was no knife to cut bagels or English muffins to put in the toaster.  The saddest was the dying flowers on the table in the entryway.  Not worth the money.

Needs serious upgrades

My daughter was homesick so we planned a last minute trip to Wooster to see her.  While it is a interesting old property it needs some major TLC.  Lets start with the mattress, wow so hard, they could really use an upgrade.  The bathroom was clean but there is no place to put a toiletry.  Also, our room was by a service elevator and was quite noisy.  Then my husband looked out the window where he say ~10 propane tanks under our room.  That made us a bit uneasy.  The staff was moderately but always sitting outside smoking.  In the future I will only stay here if there is no other options available in town.

Was just ok

Guest rooms are on the second floor of this inn, which lacks an elevator.  Our room was comfortable, but small for the amount of furniture, which nevertheless gave us everything needed for a comfortable stay.  Ice needed to be requested from the front desk, available only until 9PM.  The setting is lovely, amid trees and lawns and easy access to College of Wooster.

Exquisitely maintained older property

It's a charming inn that from at least the main floor. I've never spent a night there, and from the reviews it seems to need help there. My eggs Benedict were decent. They made me a great horseradish bloody Mary. The wine list is amazing and we spent an hour, and a bunch of $ in their cellar. Found some amazing values and left with a very nice mixed case for a very reasonable price. Will return at some point for dinner. 

Sunday brunch

We stayed at the Wooster Inn for 3 nights. It is a traditional Inn near the College of Wooster with a nice vibe. Perfect location for visiting family. It is historic but that does not excuse a mattress that pitches you to the center, poor wi-fi, and absolutely no place in the bathroom to put grooming items. I would assume these would be easy fixes. The staff were helpful but not horribly friendly. In fact, the bartender had no personality what so ever. Part of the fun of sitting at the bar is the bar tender. I will say that the staff work respectfully with one another which was a pleasure. The server that we had at brunch was delightful and accommodating. The food at brunch was quite good! Finally, the continental breakfast was just okay. I would strongly suggest that they offer hardboiled eggs for a protein. Finally, the housekeeping staff were excellent!
