Of course you can’t go wrong staying at a place on the river, although the room is not directly on the water. The room was comfortable. There are lots of people and there are lots of fees—park tax, park fee, state tax, dog fee but all in all pretty reasonable.

Nice place near the water

We stayed there in July, super hot!! The room was comfortable, they should update towels but I slept well. Thought it was well priced. It has a small pool, they shut it down early due to a storm they thought was coming but didn't. It is on the lake front, the marina right by it.

Cute little resort

If you are planning trip to stay in this place because of it says 'Resort', it is deception. 

In straight terms, it is a room similar to a motel room with absolutely no additional amenities. In fact, it is very similar to a campground but instead of tents or RV, you have a room that has been least serviced by staff. We didn't even get daily room cleanup or towels as we do in every hotel/motel we have been to. The towels were not clean as you could see stains and yellowish color on white towels. 

The photo I have attached is one of their structure which houses 8 rooms with very thin wall in between. We can easily hear what's going on neighbor room. There are lots of bugs (giant mosquitos?) and staff do nothing to take care of these insects. Several times, we had to close the door quickly to make sure they don't enter in our room. The price we paid was almost $150 per night. This is one of top price if not the highest in the whole city. The restaurant is also extremely expensive. It is in accordance with other prices so they try to recover all the $$ from lost business during winter season. I would say the pizza was good if you buy as a whole and not a slice for $7.

Their staff is friendly and have few items to sell in this office/shop. But at no point it given you feel of a resort rather than mere a park office. The only good side of this place is that it is at Lewis & Clark park. That makes the travel easier to marina rather than driving for 10 minutes from city.

Deception

We stayed in one bedroom motel room which we now realize too cramped for 2 adults with 2 kids. Big jump in rate from motel room to a cabin:$130 to $305 per night. Room we booked was not very clean. Bed sheets and blankets were dirty with some hair in them. Staff was definitely friendly but they didn't care or maintain any social distancing during these times. Also realized after we got there these are pet friendly rooms so be careful if you got allergies. 
But the place is amazing with great views of the lake. Nice surrounding area for groceries. It seemed people in town believed only those who are working in the store should be wearing masks. A lot of them were nor following any social distancing so be careful if you go out there at this time.

Great location, average accommodation

No frills cabin with quick access to the lake and trails. The pool is heated and the kitchen is stocked with all the utensils & tableware needed. (Pictures were taken before housekeeping came, I blame the kids)

A great place for a family that enjoys the outdoors

We rented the lodge and 3 3 bedroom cabins for our family reunion. We had 35 people from 11 months to 98 and we all enjoyed it tremendously. The lodge was great for our games, gathering and good times. We loved the view from the back of the lodge of the full moon over the lake. We played human croquet, made homemade ice cream, tie dyed shirts, had a scavenger hunt to list a few things we did in  the great area around the lodge. The resort staff was friendly as they replenished our linens daily and supplies for the kitchen. Thanks for making it a great experience. And also to Mike for mailing back to our house the things we left behind!

Family reunion

What a great place.. cabins, rooms, whatever you need.

Beautiful setting overlooking the lake and plenty of room for get -togethers around the fire pits later in the evening.

We used the pavilion for our dinners and it was perfect.

The pool was great for the young ones as well.

We loved our cozy cabin nearby.

Big shoutout to the staff, which were so friendly and nice,
But especially to Mike.

We left an important kiddie blanket behind, and he made sure to mail it back to us....

Stayed for 2 nights. Beautiful, quiet and relaxing! The whole area is clean and beautiful! Large sites with plenty of room, didn't feel like we were in a sardine can! We enjoyed the scenery while eating and relaxing at our spot. Plenty of area to walk and jog. Frisbee golf area was enjoyable.
The bathhouse was very clean and on this cool day it was nice and warm for showers.

Gorgeous area!

Our cabin was nicer than we could have even imagine.  Plenty of room for just the two of us and the dogs loved it.  Great place to walk them!   The staff checking in/out was very easy
We have family there and this made it perfect not being cooped up in a cramped hotel room.

Beautiful scenery

We just spent a week here for a family reunion.  There are 2 and 3 bedroom cabins, motel units, and an adjacent campground, providing a range of accommodations for all budgets.  This is s beautiful well-maintained site.  There is a marina which includes a small restaurant and lounge and some water toy rentals.  The grounds include horseshoe pits, sand volleyball courts, and a basketball court.  
The centerpiece for us was the lodge which had an ample kitchen area, two flat screen TVs, plentiful eating and game-playing areas, and enough seating for a large crowd to eat together.  There is a beach along the river/reservoir.  Be careful of the broken shells in the shallows; we had some injured feet.
This was our third reunion at this site. The only downside is the cost.  Over time, rates for the cabins have climbed considerably.
