I was not impressed!  When I was asked to share my feedback on a survey they sent me after my stay, I provided my thoughts.   The next day I got an insulting email from the general manager at the hotel making me feel bad for my feedback, adding insult to injury.  Do not stay here, stay anywhere else!!

Not the Best Place to Stay

There was no quality to this inn. The air conditioner was broken, the restaurant was closed the breakfast was average. Hot water was inconsistent. Staff was wonderful. Pool was nice and clean. Room was dated and falling apart. 

Hot no air conditioner.

This was a basic hotel that met my needs for a night.  The exterior looked a bit rundown.   But the room was clean.  I did like the flooring because it felt more sanitary than carpeting.  The bathroom was clean as well, besides the tiny spider that wanted to shower with me.  He survived 2 showers.  The bed was comfortable as well. I think this is a decent hotel for travelers and short stays.

Quick visit

The worst hotel I ever been at in my life this place needs to be shut down all the employees are nasty and mean except for the night guy who walks around the hotel at overnight…They harassed my wife all day while I was a work they took our money and kicked my wife out while I’m still at work now I had no place to come back to after work the manager needs to be fired asap if I didn’t have a great job I would have dragged him across the parking lot when I got back

Never again I don’t recommend no one coming here ever trust me you will not enjoy yourself

Worst place to stay in Mifflin Co. The rooms stunk, haven't updated in decades, breakfast was cold eggs and sausages in water for two days. Then, they were out of eggs and sausage - also out of milk! We were told to get another hotel if we didn't like this. But my mom was in the hospital and this was the closest hotel because Super 8 was closed. Nasty .... to the max. Paid for amenities that didn't exist. It's creepy and should be torn down or have a MAJOR renovation. Needed to extend stay 2 days .... they said they had NO ROOM. Over 150 rooms, about 3 rooms occupied but no rooms available??? WTF Disgusting. ALSO ... in 5 days NO clean towels, no room pick up .... NOTHING! Had to ask for extra towels and had to empty our own garbage!!! SERIOUSLY ...... GO SOME PLACE ELSE!!!

Decrepit facility!

Checked in Wednesday 11/23 around 12:30 am after traveling most of the day. Got up Thanksgiving day and left to spend day with family. Received a call around 2pm that we were not welcome and would have to check out upon our return.  We're told we were not supposed to be allowed to make reservations at this hotel or the super 8 down the street do to the fact we lodge a complaint  in May 2021 about our stay at that time. We had no AC, were not offered a fan or reduction in price. Manager told us we cost them money. Out over 400 dollars myself now. Plus the cost of finding a new place to stay on Thanksgiving.  

Kicked out on Thanksgiving 

This is a motel with outward-facing front walls, configured in a square shape with a pool in the center.  The restaurant “Tony’s” is closed. Three walls, the ceiling and floor are cement; the floor has carpet over cement; the walls have plastic wallpaper over cement.  The front wall is a metal door plus a floor-to-ceiling glass wall with a blackout curtain.  If you want natural light, you must fully expose the room to the parking lot. There is no inner sheer curtain. The door frame has settled, doesn’t fit the door perfectly, and the weatherstripping has broken down/needs replacing. Sunlight and outdoor air comes through the bottom side.

The room smells like Goodwill.  Maybe the same disinfectant sprayed on clothes at goodwill is used here? The electrical outlets are inaccessible or impractical. Two are behind the bed and the chest of drawers; the third is in the front corner near the window wall, but not near a table.  There are no outlets on the desk or bedside tables.   The room was short one bedside table, actually.  The bathroom was older but functional—space for only one person’s toiletries, a little mold in the caulk around the tub—but basically ok.  The fan was older and noisy. The hot water is immediately hot, so that was a superior item.

The front desk staff were polite and did their best.  Our neighbor had put a dog into the bathroom, which was barking from 8:30-9:30 am when we left for the day and from 9:45 pm when we returned until after midnight.  It was heartbreaking. The dog’s voice was hoarse and squeaky by the end.  The front desk staff told me that she called the cell of the renter (no answer) and knocked on the door.  I don’t know how it resolved except that the barking stopped around 12:15 am.  Poor pup.

The most maddening thing about this hotel/motel was the price gouging.  It’s located approximately 30 min from PennState.  The price is doubled on game weekends. We stayed here on Parents Weekend and it cost $177/night—$193 with the tax.  Midweek the price is about $80, with deals for less.  

Breakfast is served 6:00 to 9:00, and does NOT extend to 10:00 on weekends. It is a hot breakfast served in a room that’s too small when it’s a full motel.

Old motel

I have stayed in countless different hotels throughout the country over the past 4 years, and this was hands down the worst hotel experience. I was able to move past the bugs in the room, the smell of smoke in the non-smoking room, the AC that did not work, and the bathroom that my significant other could not muster up the courage to use, but the assistant manager has no sense of customer service and was horrible. She obviously does not know how to use their own system and should not be in that position. She would not let me checkout without paying a random charge that she added to the bill over night until I called the Choice Diamond Member customer service number and had them call her directly and explain to her how their computer system works. She has an incredible ego, is trying to steal money, and is on a huge power trip. I would not suggest this hotel to anyone.

Terrible

Definitely outdated accommodations , nothing worked right including the A/C. Complained to the assistant manager and was told I could get my money back to go somewhere else. I was told no one on property available to look at my unit and was offered a box fan with a 1/4 layer lint all over it ?This was  second time I was bitten by this hotel definitely will not stay there again. The pictures on the website definitely do not look they are from that location. Room was filthy, customer service none existent!

Terrible Customer Experience

We stayed one night at the Quality Inn in Burnham.  Yes, this is an older property, with outdated decor and bathrooms.  Having said that, there are good updated features.  Flat screen TV.  Very comfortable, soft bed.  Shower was excellent, good water pressure and hot water very quickly, and it lasted the duration of the shower.  They have an outdoor pool, which we did not use, but families were enjoying it.  Desk clerk very knowledgeable about area and gave good recommendations to eat.  They had a breakfast buffet in the morning.  Would stay again.
