We had a wonderful stay at the Cutty Sark. We had two rooms next to each other in the upper building and being right above the water is so worth it. Listening to the waves crashing is just the best. The rooms felt private and the walls between rooms are very soundproof. It clean and efficient and the bathrooms with walk-in shower all updated are wonderful and were great for my elderly family member. Also a shout out to the staff who couldn't be nicer including  accommodated us when we had to change dates due to illness. We will be back. :)

Excellent stay.

You can’t get any closer to the ocean ! This place is amazing. The room was very clean. The pillows were the most comfortable I’ve ever had. We could hear the waves while falling asleep. They had complimentary coffee tea and HOMEMADE baked muffins and scones WARM!!! One of the staff actually came to us while we were sitting enjoying the view and brought us a warm scone. Highly recommend this place it’s also affordable which is rare because it’s on a cliff at the ocean. We will definitely be back.

Spectacular location and comfortable accommodations, what more could you ask for? Waking up to the sound of the ocean and freshly baked scones, yah there’s that too! First visit to the Cutty Sark definitely will not be our last. 

Wonderful weekend away! 

We stayed at Cutty Sark for our honeymoon and it was amazing. The place was clean, they were all super nice. Perfect view of the ocean. Loved being able to walk out our first floor to sit on lounge chairs. The manager would walk around while people were sitting outside to see how everyone was, if they needed anything, and he was very knowledgeable on places to see and places to eat. Will definitely be going back there.

Cutty Sark is Heaven-on-Earth for me.  I've been going for over 10 years.
If you want fancy amenities, you might want to look elsewhere.  However, the majestic ocean view from every room and the lawn area, the morning coffee and muffins, cozy and spotless room, convenient location to Ogunquit, the Nubble Light house, and the peaceful walking opportunities are perfect for me.  The owner, hotel manager, office and room staff are wonderful.  They know me by name.  That is one of the welcoming perks for me; it's like being among friends.  I bring my bottle of wine, cheese and crackers, and a good book for a perfect Happy Hour on the lawn.  I've already made my reservation for next year! 

I Love it!

If at all possible, get a room on the 1st floor - you can walk right out onto a manicured lawn to the oceanview. I've stayed on all 3 floors and the rooms are great - no matter where you lay your head.

Every room has a view

Clean and comfortable room, beautiful view as the beach was right there. I will definitely be staying again. Love being able to watch the sunset and the surfers right from the comfort of our room. Absolutely breathtaking sunrise

Ocean front 

So beautiful!!  No better location anywhere.  Quiet but close to downtown.  Very clean and comfortable.  This is our 4th year and we will continue to go every year.

Wonderful!!

This was my second visit. This time I brought my parents. We had a lovely ground floor room with easy access to the lawn. The views are beautiful. You can't beat relaxing on the lawn any time of day and listening to the waves wash in. Easy access to the beach to walk at low tide. We picked out with cool, but sunny, days. Clean, comfortable.

Wonderful stay - will be back

You can't beat the view at the Cutty Sark! Long Sands Beach is my favorite, but the Cutty Sark is perfectly situated for a walk on Long Sands, or a stroll over to Short Sands. This was my first time staying in an upper floor, and I definitely recommend getting a ground-floor room if you can—walking right out your own back door and onto the lawn is the best. The coffee and muffins for breakfast are simple but appreciated. Staff is very friendly, beds are comfortable. You'll definitely hear the people above you walking around, but the remedy to that is to just step outside and listen to the ocean instead!
