Curry Village is a great location in the valley. We never tired of the waterfall behind the cabins. We had a cabin with one double bed and private bath. Hard sided, to keep the bears out! Cute, cozy, and had a fan. You cannot keep any food in your vehicle overnight and need to keep the windows closed if you have food in the room. And there’s no fridge. There was ice for sale at the market in Curry Village. Book well in advance. I booked a year out — as soon as I could — and was able to book the cabin for a week. It’s pricey but well worth it to stay in the park and avoid long waits to enter the park and the real possibility that you won't find a parking space. (Our other option would have been staying outside the park and bringing the shuttle in.) Speaking of shuttles, just use the free shuttle while there.

For a national park, it's great

This is a basic spruced up cabin. It has a full size bed, dresser, two end tables, and chair to sit on. The bathroom has a small shower (better than group showers or no shower as the tents in this village).  It’s small for two people but not bad. The bed and chair both are made out of wood resembling a tree giving it a rustic look. The rooms could use a makeover; perhaps Yosemite will remodel in future? It’s a small lodging facility with only 12 rooms. They have a wifi lounge and a big cafeteria which reminded me of a ski lodge restaurant.  It was packed to the gills! (We have stayed at the “lodge”/Wawona Hotel before which is nicer). But it is pretty awesome to wake up in the morning and look up at the towering cliffs nearby!

The rooms in the cabins were overpriced and dirty, with doors that didn't latch, etc. But the worst part was being itchy all week and waking up to find BED BUGS in the box spring. Management still hasn't reached out to address this issue, and I have a feeling they didn't adequately respond to the situation or warn people about the bed bug infestation. If you do stay in a cabin or elsewhere in curry village, be sure to check the box spring and all around, the bugs were hard to find.

Definitely a mixed bag. Great location but pretty rough conditions. Quilts on the beds were visibly dirty; probably hadn’t been washed the whole season. Dirty carpet. Bathroom door wouldn’t close. But the sheets seemed clean and the beds were comfortable. Over-priced for what you get.

We had a lovely couple of days stay in Curry Village. We stayed in a heated tent cabin. You don't expect luxury but we were very happy. The location is amazing and the accommodation was as comfortable as we could have reasonably expected. 

We arrived on the YARTS bus well before the check-in time and we were lucky that our tent was ready so we were able to settle in early. Others who came on the bus with us were not as lucky but the staff were helpful in directing them to the public bear lockers so they could lock up their bags and enjoy the facilities until their rooms were ready. 

The downside to the heated tent is that the heater works on a thermostat so it goes on and off and on again throughout the night and I tended to find myself alternating between being a bit too hot and a bit too cold depending on what the heater was doing. 

I was impressed how well stocked the grocery store was in Curry Village and it's open quite late so we we had access to everything we needed. The coffee place was open from 6am too and does a range of breakfasts so I was able to get a coffee and something to eat as the sun came up. The Pizza Deck gets very busy so you should order early as there may be a bit of a wait. I'd also recommend using the shuttle bus to access some of the other dining options across the valley for a bit of variety. 

Lovely place for a short stay

Even if you make your reservation months in advance as we did, the park service shuffles you around so you seldom seem to get your first choice which is confusing and risky.  Curry Village , which we did not select but got under this crazy system is mostly tents,  but fortunately we got a cabin .  The price was  $250 per night on the reservation  but when we checked in the person at the desk said we had booked through a third party, for whom she worked and which we did not realize, and there would be an additional $50 per night (Tacky!)  It is so difficult to get into Yosemite we had no choice but to pay what they were charging.  The room was literally filthy, baseboards, woodwork etc, and very small (see picture to get an idea of size). The beds however were comfortable and clean.  The bathroom was so small that you could not enter without stepping in the shower in order to shut the door. The parking lot lighting and signage were so poor we got lost trying to find our parking lot. You do not have a lot of choices but for $700 for two nights, you may not be overjoyed. On the good side, the limited breakfast was good.

You have no choice if you want to see beautiful Yosemite!

I stayed in the Unheated canvas tents for 3 nights with family. Although the accommodation is very basic, it was a unique experience I would not change. The Tent has no heater or electrical outlets. We did bring a light bulb adapter from Walmart which allowed us to charge our devices and use the light (necessity). In late October, the weather was extremely cold in the tents and we had to wear a couple of layers of clothing to keep warm. It is expensive for what it is, but it is an experience like no other. The canvas tents have no cooking facilities but we used the BBQ facilities in the housekeeping camp. We found this fantastic and had a couple of brilliant nights cooking and drinking beer while watching people with flashlights climb the sheer mountain faces around us. 
Shower facilities were fine and we had no issues. Toilets were generally clean. 
We went to pizzeria one night which was expensive. Local supermarket is very handy for snacks, sausages, beer etc and not too wildly priced. 
There is a microwave and boiling water machine in the shop beside the canvas tents which was handy.
Wi-Fi in lounge area was fine and allowed me to FaceTime my wife and newborn.

Unheated Cancas tent-Unforgettable experience, maybe a bit expensive for what it is

We stayed in a one-bed cabin with bath.  They have cabins without baths (one uses a community restroom) but I wouldn't recommend the cabins without baths in the winter, especially if you have an enlarged prostate.  The cabin was . . . rustic and drafty but the heater was adequate.  There is a USB outlet for charging attached to the lamp.  No WiFi in the cabins but there is a game room nearby with WiFi.  The WiFi in the game room is . . . inadequate.  The bed was soft.  There are shops and restaurants within walking distance.  All in all, a decent place to stay in one of the most beautiful places on earth.

One Bed Cabin with bath in Curry Village

We came for Thanksgiving weekend, and booked a heated tent, for a family with young kids. I found it quite roomy for 4 of us, and very warm and toasty, I'd guess about 80 degrees inside when it was 25 out at night. They provide Rumpl blankets per bed, and threadbare towels and plastic cups. Showers are clean but very tight space. Plenty of stalls and toilets though, and there's a water filing station too. The location can't be beat, take advantage of that and get out early to hike or stay out late to see the stars. 

Specific for winter, all of curry village including the parking lot is covered in packed snow /ice even though it's been above 50 for more than a week. Bring a cart to carry your stuff otherwise you can be quite far from the parking lot and walking through slush/mud/puddles/ice. We came mid-afternoon and there wasn't even parking, it's not reserved for guests. 

Also, the food situation on a holiday is a complete disaster. We brought our food in paper bags and just ate indoors in the marketplace, much faster than the 2hr wait for pizza (on black Friday), they also sold out of food. There is a hot water dispenser inside if you want to bring instant coffee too. Or make reservations at the Ahwanee. 

Still a great place for kids though as long as you come prepared food wise and to make the most of your time in the valley. 

Great location 

No argue about the location in the center of the park. I stayed in one of the heated tents, quite an interesting experience. It had air-conditioning, safe, towels. It was very clean. The disadvantages: It was difficult to find the offices ( I was confused with the campsites, and hardly visible signs. And it was VERY difficult to find the right tent, there are hundreds, they are numbered of course but no so logically placed... So dark in the evening, it took a VERY long time to find....
