The good:
- a very comfortable large bed
- good toiletries
- coffee machine, refrigerator, MW, and more
- nice hot water
- a clean room
The less good:
- the room was not adapted to cold weather. We were freezing for hours. The AC unit was not sufficient to keep us warm, especially with cinderblock walls on 3 sides.
- some of the outlets and charging stations did not work

The breakfast was unfancy, but adequate. Reception staff was nice. If you need anything, just let them know.

Your basic amenities, long or short stay.  The room may have been larger than most as it was an end unit (105).  If you are a couple, or are traveling with kids, the king-size bed will accmodaet you comforable, and ther will be ample room for all your stuff.  The bed and the chest of drawers carrying the TV and coffee maker however are the -only- furniture: no desk or chair.  Bathroom was clean and functional.  It was fire season during my stay, and the motel appears to cater to Cal-Fire--both fire-fighters and support staff from the nearby Yreka airport.  Also a fair amount of helicopter and air tanker noise in the background during daytime hours---but that would apply to the whole town.  I had minimal contact with the staff, but what there was was polite and accomdating.

Clean, Spare, and Spaceous

Clean, quiet, comfortable with all the basic amenities:  microwave, refrigerator, good free Wifi, in room coffee maker.  Coffee and Danish plus apples, morning in lobby, Good for my overnight stay on my trip north to Portland OR. Will stay here again on future trips

Nice overnight stay

Dated but charming and spotlessly clean.
Very budget friendly motel straight out of the 1960's and as clean as can be.  Friendly staff.  We would definitely stay there again.  Wi-Fi a little slow but our hot spots worked great.  Very close to I-5 but noise was not a problem.  Safe and comfortable.

This is a great place for a budget traveler.
Check-in was smooth. 
The heating worked well. The WiFi was consistent. The television was fine.
And everything was clean. Also the bed was comfortable. And it was quiet.

Nothing fancy but certainly adequate

Almost exactly the same situation as the person wrote before me. Turned away my family at 2am after our reservation had already been paid for. Also are trying to not give a refund saying we never showed up. Strongly advice families not make reservations here.  

Horrible Business

Horrible place don't stay here. after 14hours on the road they would not give me my room that was already paid for. The lady said I had to many people.2adults and 3children seem pretty standard to me for a family on vacation. don't give this place your business.

Rude staff

I'm in town once or twice a year for work.  I've stayed at a couple other motels/hotels in Yreka and this is my favorite.  The owners are friendly and the staff is nice.  The rooms are large, clean, and the motel is quiet.  

To comment on some of the other reviews:  My room had a closet but maybe not all rooms do.  For the price I wasn't expecting a hot breakfast (there are some great coffee shops/diners in town) and what was offered was more than enough for a quick bite before heading out of town.  There's coffee in the room which is always a nice perk first thing in the morning out of bed.

This is hands down the best value motel in Yreka.  No frills, no duh for the price!

Great value motel, repeat customer

Only stayed here for a one night stop over. 
Beds where comfortable, room was simple however outdated. Location seemed safe and staff where freindly. 
I would say the only real negitive thing was that the continetal breakfast, was simply awful. That said I would stay here again but only for a one night stop over and nothing more. 
Perfect for travelers like us.

General review.

Friendly and helpful staff.

This is an old style, single floor, park-outside-your-room motel.  The walls are solid stucco or concrete including inside.  The heater takes a good while to warm up a 38 degree room.  Hot water comes (eventually) but not before one wonders if it is coming at all.

The room is plenty large, the bed was comfortable and ...

Breakfast is included... You have a choice of fruit loops or corn flakes from a turn-the crank dispenser and there are danish and coffee.

There is a $2.00 discount for Seniors, AARP, or AAA members (or probably if you just ask for one).

This is not a fancy place.  It reminds me of cross country trips with my parents in the early 1960s, but for $50.00, it is a great place for a nights rest and it was perfectly adequate for what we needed.

We would stay there again.
