Not sure how to better get the point across than as follows: My friends & I show up & within 12 hrs see what appeared to be multiple drug deals happen, on site, no security, & apparently there are some “longer term residents”. Place looks like a halfway house and is by far the worst hotel I’ve ever visited. Nothing about this place feels safe.

Worst Hotel Experience Ever (Dangerous)

I do not recommend this hotel.  There is no front desk 24hr. Anyone is able to walk through the halls. No enforcement from management.  One night I had to wet my towel and wash the floor. When I would ask for a extra towel or wash cloth I would get them but seem like an inconvenience. Other people would not get their rooms cleaned for the week or new linens.  Curtains dont close all the way. Furniture looks like they went and bought at a yard sale. It is the Econo lodge for a reason.  Cheap and easy. There is wifi and great HOT water with mini fridge and microwave. Rooms are not remodeled like they say. It has nee paint..
Just be careful. 

Nope

this hotel was a complete disappointment.  The residents are workers who work late and are up early.  If you don't fall into that category find a hotel where you'll get some sleep.  The desk clerk was kind enough to tell us we would be disappointed if we stayed due to the workers.  We stayed elsewhere

don't waste your time on this hotel

Yuma is an agricultural area, and at this particular hotel, they were housing "harvesters" on the second story.  We were in Room 109 and the harvesters kitchen area was directly overhead.  Very loud thumping, scraping of furniture (chairs?), loud talking, people walking across the floor sounded like a herd of elephants; we thought there was construction going on, but after calling the front desk at 9:30 p.m. to complain, we found out about the "harvesters" and were given an apology and told that they would be staying there thru March.  So beware if you want to stay there between now and March. The noise did not stop until almost midnight then started again at 4:30 a.m.  Needless to say, we would have been better off leaving the room and going to our to car and try to sleep.

Naomi at check-in was very sweet and had us checked in quickly. Having read prior reviews, people commented that things were dirty, etc.  I did not find this to be the case.  Room, bedding, bathroom, floor, were clean.  Hallways looked to have new carpeting.  Looks like it had been recently remodelled with new paint and floors, bathroom tiles.  We had a room with two beds, one person to sleep in each.  One of the beds had the AC unit protruding over the bed, see picture.  I don't believe I will stay here again, we usually stay a different hotel in the area but they were booked full.

Clean but very noisy

By a comedy of errors we ended up at this motel.  It appeared that the Econo Lodge had purchased an old motel and were remodeling it, because there was so much unfinished things.  At 4:30 in the morning, the noise from the  above room sounded like a herd of horses were running around.  Apparently the upstairs rooms were rented to workers but it didn't help the first floor occupants.  The one good thing is we had a very very good bed.  We will not stay there again.

unimpressed

I stayed at the EconoLodge the night before I was to have dental work done in Los Algodones, MX. The room was very clean and nice, and the service was very good. I had trouble hooking up to wifi in my room and the receptionist was good enough to come to my room and help me. The room rate was very affordable for someone like me who is on a fixed income.

Good value for the money

As a platinum Choice Hotel member, I'd expect more - but I guess you get what you pay for. Seeking value, location, and convenience, I recently had the opportunity to spend 5 nights at this Econo Lodge. Conveniently located on the main drag in Yuma, I was disappointed to say the least. 

Arriving late on a Thursday evening, I was advised that few rooms - despite my online Choice Hotel reservation - were available. No suites, no upgrades, and no welcome drink/snack. The female clerk did advise that room 103 was convenient to both the parking lot, as well as the front lobby.

Lucky for me, the room did have a bed, mini-fridge, microwave oven and in wall air conditioner. The flat screen television was on the blink and did not work at times. The room balcony did face an open parking lot and had a plastic chair. Free WiFi and self serve laundry services were available. 

The complementary continental breakfast was cold (stale) cereal, generic blueberry muffins, bread, bagels and English muffins. Milk, orange juice, and apple juice, in addition to Folgers coffee brewed in a residential type coffee maker were available. Bananas were the fruit available on the single day I did stay for breakfast. The main drag - 4th Avenue - was closed for the Veteran Day parade and I was stuck at the hotel for several hours. With that said, I did have a good view of the parade. 

Online photos and hotel description are dated. Very dated. Hotel looks nothing like the photos and is in need of renovation. Or demolition and a restart from scratch. 

I was unfortunately stuck with my "Choice Hotel," as I had recently become a member of the brand and used my newly obtained Barclays credit card to "qualify" my purchase/stay at Econo Lodge. Had I checked out early, my account would have been credited, thereby placing me under the spending threshold to qualify for 32,000 bonus points. 

Value, location, and convenience, I said to myself. $40.39 a night, including a wonderful breakfast that prison inmates would riot over. And I never did receive my welcome drink/snack despite requesting it twice. 

Don't think I will ever stay at this Econo Lodge again.

Online photos are dated - very dated

This EconoLodge is undergoing a massive renovation and our room was new, clean, and had an incredible air conditioner! The bedding was custom linens and the floor was hygenic laminate and there was a large walk-in shower. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly and the three hour breakfast time was appreciated as well as the large selection of cereals, muffins/bread/English Muffins, orange juice, apple juice, and fresh fruit. If I am ever in need of a motel in Yuma again this is where I'd stay.

Yuma is Hot!

Older place but nice. Large room, cool AC, good cable and wifi, comfortable bed with clean bright white sheets, comfy pillows, clean bathroom with walkin shower, clean towels, and quiet. Complimentary breakfast includes four types of cereal, toasters for English muffins, white or wheat toast. Also blueberry muffins, apples, bananas. Milk, OJ and apple juice, and coffee and tea. For the price you can't beat it. If you're looking for a decent 'cheap' place to stay, this is it!

Great Value for Price

My husband was in Yuma for work with several employees and needed a hotel that had enough rooms so he found the Econo Lodge. He now wishes that he had not. The hotel was extremely dirty in many many ways some that are unexplainable. The shower in the hotel is about the size you would find in a travel trailer rather than a hotel. The peep hole in my husbands room had something in it that nobody can explain. He sent me pictures when he was there and I have included in my review. The outside area was dirty with mold and dirt like it had not been cleaned in months. There were prostitutes doing "business" at the end of the hall of his room. This place is disgusting and I will never allow ANYONE that I know to EVER EVER stay in this dump!
