Nice and friendly staff, good place to meet people. However, very low value for money. 
Beds are shabby, toilets were dirty, low hygienic measures, no soap in toilets, not enough toilets for the amounts of guests, under-equipped kitchen, noisy place.

Friendly staff, worn out place

The hostel has a perfect location to reach everything. The staff was very nice and gave us many recommendations. Our room (double room) was very spacious and clean. The whole hostel is very chilly and cozy, sometimes musical events take place.

Very cosy and a good atmosphere

The staff was not organized at all, we arrived at midday with two people. After check-in we took two beds and the staff took note of it. In the night around 22:00 we went to bed and somebody left stuff on my blanket. I put it aside, thinking someone forgot it.

At 12:15 midnight someone from the staff was cuffing my leg and shaking my body to wake me up. ",This is not your bed, get out!". After 15 minutes of discussion they found out that they made a mistake in their organization. They let us sleep then, but didn't said anything like a sorry. Then at 2 in the night there was loud music in the inner side of the Hostal, the staff didnt do anything about it. Next day we complained again, we didn't get any sorry or explanation.

We can not recommended this Hostal, we will not book it again.

Not again!

The hostel is located just 600 meters away from the historic center and a short 5-minute walk from the bust station and the port (Buquebus/colonia express). The hostel is equipped with the basic tools for cooking, it is comfortable and clean. The only issue I have to draw is that the toilets are located outside (out in the cold) so in case it is three o'clock in the morning and you have to do your basic human needs, you will feel cold and run the risk of catching a cold - they also offer bone rent services for 200 pesos whole day. 

excellent facilities 

The colonial architecture of the building was great, simple but weel kept,it created different areas to chill. The atmosphere was good. The double room, was simple but nice, the mattress was very confy! The kitchen wasn't the best. Location is good, close to the bus and ferry terminal right on the main comercial street, and just a few blocks away from the old town. 

Great colonial building 

Me and my friends stayed here for a weekend, the staff was very helpful and the standard of bathrooms and showers was really good. The breakfast was simple and the hostel has beautiful backyards were you can just chill by yourself or be social

Clean, comfertbal beds, chill vibe and exelent location

The hostel was perfect for my short stay. Staff helpful, rooms comfy although bathroom wasn't great. Free breakfast was fine but the main plus for me was the location. Everything of interest is near by and there's plenty of good food options close. The bar next door is good too!

Great for a short stay

Charming little place in an amazing location. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. I was there just before the main season kicked in, so it was a little quiet. But I can imagine it comes to life with more people around. Would stay again.
