Simple, clean facilities with a good breakfast, emphasis on improving plastic mattresses and pillows, very good location and willingness to handle unforeseen circumstances, I recommend!

 Comfort and good attention.

Comfort, kindness, and total tranquility, super helpful and friendly, I loved the location for excellent shopping, three blocks from the avenue Central del chuy. I also recommend them if you want to go to lunch have the free fork that is on the Brazilian side, pass a block and behind the London supermarket, in a corner that I don't remember what it's called at the very cozy and spectacular view of the service, constantly replaying the food and with a grilled egg whitish and is in front of another fork that is yellow, that's not bad quality in everything.

Despeje y compras

We took Lonely Planet's advice and came to Etnico. It was a great decision and a true respite from the very depressing airport like city of Chuy. We paid for a shared room (500 Uruguayan pesos each or ~$16 USD) and were put in a lovely private room with comfortable bunk beds, private bathroom (all rooms have private bathrooms) with towels, a fan, and great shutters that block out all light. There is great wifi and breakfast in the morning with coffee, hot milk, orange juice, bread, marmalades, dulce de leche, ham and cheese. We had the place to ourselves pretty much as there were almost no other guests. Staff was very friendly too! We didn't really check the other hostels in the area but this was was great to forget that we were stuck at this sad border town. 

A true respite from what's outside

Lindo hostel, has rooms with private bathroom. The breakfast is abundant, you can serve whatever you want. The owners are very friendly to attend. The decoration is beautiful with its masks and its door with ribbon crime scene

Well, well, well, well.

A good hostel, comfortable, clean, with an EXCELLENT breakfast, the bathroom a bit uncomfortable as the ducharse had to run and run the water into the grille that was on the other side of the slope, but the details maybe just of that room, the rest is very good!. excellent personal attention. free parking inside the hostel. the lobby with TV, magazines and books to hang out. and a couple of blocks of the avenue, which is almost quiet but noisy at night.

The price is affordable and warm.

Beautiful rooms, comfortable and simple and very well cared for near the heart of the barrier area, very nice the friendly staff, very good breakfast and complete hope to return and spend another weekend.

Very good accommodation.

After such a long journey to Chui and after losing my Passport the staff at the hotel were so incredibly kind. They helped me so so much and were so supportive of my situation. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone !!

So homely, staff are AMAZING and so helpful

We had a lot of trouble booking this hostel, it was listed as sold out & n/a on many sites. We got someone to call for us, which we didn't need to as Rodriquez speaks English very well.

We arrived on a late bus to find many empty beds, so it's a shame really as the place is good and a great price for a night versus the hotel. 

We got a private double upstairs with our own bathroom and fan. Rodriquez gave us this cute little bag with mosquito coils, insect spray, electric adapter and an electric mosquito buzzer. He said there were many mosquitos but we didn't get bitten at all with all that protection! 

Common areas upstairs are very homely and the breakfast was good. We were in town to get a Brazilian visa and weren't sure if we'd need to stay an additional night and he was very accomodating. 

We got some parting gifts which were very thoughtful.

There is some interesting artwork, some which may freak out people!! 

Unique! 

The hotel is quite clean, the rooms are not very large but very well decorated like the rest of the hotel. However, limited equipment like breakfast with old bread, no fruit or cereal and in addition you have to wash your dishes. Fortunately the owners are kind and smiling it gives some warmth back. The hotel is not really well quoted because it is a little lounging from the center but it also avoids nighttime bruises. The outside of the back would be to store a little qd even.

The right hotel for the price

It's five to seven minutes walk from the Brazilian and five meters from the Uruguayan bus stations, the only place in the city where there's a chip shop. Clean, the shower was right in the room. English is only spoken by one guy, but he's, as I understand it, almost always in the hostel, the host. Breakfast is a little modest, but in Uruguay in many hostels as I've seen.
