It has a lot more paradise than a narrow one:-) Fabián y Nelly a love, clean rooms and the best of the wave... An ideal place to meet Rocha y La Pedrera, have fun and make friends!!!!!!

Excellent in every way!

I stayed for 3 nights in this hostel, the structure consists of 2 overlapping containers, painted black on the outside, while inside they were made from cardboard vans. For 3 nights in 3 we paid 176 dollars (they do not accept local currency, but only work in dollars, a questionable choice in my opinion), very expensive for the place and location.

High prices but for what?

This was the very first place I stayed as a solo traveller backpacking around South America in February of 2016. I arrived the day after the big carnival celebrations had finished. Despite having been so busy in previous days, the owner was so welcoming and helpful. He Organised a surf lesson for me the next morning, I had really comfortable and clean dorm room all to myself. Great bathroom / showers. Tranquil setting on edge of town but only 10 min walk to beach, great cooking facities, with two kitchens. Good wifi. And just overall a great welcoming vibe, more like a home stay than a hostel. The owners mother arrived for a day or two when I was there, and treated me as if I was part of the family. Would heartily recommend this place to solos, groups, families, friends. And I hear they throw an awesome party for carnival if you remember to show up in time!

Top notch hostel, awesome owners

It has 2 fully equipped kitchens, including breakfast, several relaxation areas with music and books. The rooms are very original, fitted with boat containers, are spacious and functional, the rest of the hotel furniture is entirely handmade. The area is very quiet, it is close to everything, but far enough away to not be disturbed in your rest. Excellent quality/price ratio. ̈ The best idea was to come. ̈

The best place to enjoy La Pedrera and the Rocha coast.

The barbaric past, I just returned from my trip to several points of the Uruguayan coast and very clean and comfortable! The very friendly, very attentive owners, I had no inconvenience, a top quality place.

It is excellent.

Rooms: Perfect. We stayed in a private room. It has a double bed, a cabinet, ventilator and furniture. VERY clean, comfortable and pleasant. Bathroom: Separate rooms. VERY clean, hygienic and tidy. In addition to being very well decorated. Kitchen: We have two fully equipped, comfortable, clean, hygienic and tidy kitchens. It has breakfast included and is quite good! Spaces: The common areas are very pleasant to rest, share, read, etc. They are spacious, beautiful and organized. Ambience: BETTER HOSTAL. Fabián and Lucía are very hospitable, friendly, educated. They are always available and super-loved. If you want to make your own group while you're out there. There is a free Wi-Fi 10 minutes walk from the market, supermarket and buses.

Excellent HOSTAL is a great place to stay.

The rooms are containers, not hot. The breakfast is nice, but with good intentions, the atmosphere is good, the owners serve you super well. It is about 25 minutes from the main beach and about 10 minutes from the town center. It corresponds to the price they charge. The bathroom is shared, but it was always empty. Everything is fine. The wifi does not work. No never comes the signal.

I stayed here for four nights, the location is good. Really liked the owner and his mother. Good place, clean comfortable and series number. recommend to all.

замечательный хостел

This review is long overdue.  My friend Bijan and I went down there and had a great time.  Fabian and Nelly were the absolute best and were a big part of why the trip to Pedrera was was so special.  My friend Bijan got sunburned so bad the first day like a real dope but it made him the most popular guy at the hostel.  We got to meet so many nice people and it was all about Fabian and Nelly being so welcoming and unifying. I really enjoyed the time down there and would love to go back.

The Best Hostel

Owners Fabian and Nelly are amazing and make you feel right at home. Everything from rooms to grounds and bathrooms are meticulously kept up and clean at all times. Easy walk to beach and supermarket, yet in a quiet location. Loved the camaraderie of the guests too--just a great vibe from everyone and an amazing experience. Would recommend to anyone and hope to return year after year!
