Location is beautiful. Area is very picturesque. Pool/pond is spectacular.
Host/Hostess were not very friendly.
Our group arrived later than they expected, holding up their kitchen staff for dinner. They really made our group feel less than welcome. 
Rooms were adequate. Didn’t appreciate one of their staff “bursting” into our room without knocking…a bit embarrassing for my room mate. 
Cleanliness could have been better. Dust webs in the corners of the rooms, dust on some furniture/decor within the house.    This really doesn’t bother me, but when you are running a hotel /ranch, and in the hospitality industry, I would expect a bit more.
We also experienced tarantula’s…again we are in the country, however putting our tour guide in a less than adequate room upset some of our group. 
Food was very good! Well prepared, great salads, etc.  we had a few people in our group with specials dietary needs….can’t tell you the number of times we had to remind them of what they were and who they were. 
Could have been so much more enjoyable.

Lovely property, but be prepared.

I stayed for 3 nights and I loved every second of it. My only regret is not having booked a longer stay. The estancia is absolutely stunning with a very luxuruous feel to it. The rooms are very spacious with comfortable beds and a very large private bathroom. The food is delicious and every day freshly prepared by a very talented chef. During dinner you get to know the other international guests at the big dinner table. The ways to explore the outdoors seems to be endless. I opted for horsebackriding, hiking and canoeing which I can all highly recommend. The horsebackriding tours are suitable for both very experienced or novice riders as they seem to have a perfect horse for everyone. During hikes and rides you can spot a variety of wildlife with all the armadillo's as my absolute favorite ones. The canoeing is done at a nearby river where we saw lots of differentes birds and capybaras swimming. The hosts Uschi and Diego make you feel like you are visiting friends and are always in for an interesting conversation or adventurous activity.  

Paradise in the Uruguayan countryside!

We went as a family to spend the day. First we took a walk of about an hour, to the top of the hill. The road is steep and with a beautiful view. On the way back they waited for us with a rich homemade lunch and a delicious apple and ice cream dessert. We spent the afternoon resting near the pool, surrounded by nature. Then we took a hike around the area, to finish the afternoon with a rich snack.

A precious stay to stay or spend the day, surrounded by nature.

We had an absolute wonderful stay at the posada. The location is super nice, rooms comfortable and clean. There is a great natural swimming pool to cool down. The food is very good and they accomodate your individual wishes as wel. Meals are eaten together,  as if you are with a big family. We liked that a lot. You can go out for a great hike up the hill (don't get lost 😉). Relaxed and guided horseback riding and/or canoeing in the nearby river are other options at your disposal. But the icing on the cake are the hosts Ursula and Diego. They make everything super personal. Want to spend some time in Uruguay's countryside? Look no further!

We were guests at the Posada for two nights and can only recommend it. The owners welcomed us very kindly and helpfully. Already in advance in communicating with Ursula about questions about our second PCR test, the exchange was quick and helpful. An appointment was arranged at the clinic and we were also accompanied there - great! Great service. Whoever is looking for peace, hospitality and wonderful food - it is golden! We are excited and would like to come back here immediately! Love greetings to Ursula, Diego and Maria. Thank you dear Ursula.

A place to relax

The inn is very nice and very well maintained, with excellent rooms, well decorated, very good bedding and high-performance heating. The surroundings are impeccable and the food is gourmet. Various activities, from hiking, climbing the hill, cabalgates, ecological pool for summer, among others. However, two negative points to note. The first is that the place is not designed for children, there is no playground and in the living room everything is very neat and the kids are always like the old grandparents who don't stop playing their nights in the second untouchable lifts. The negative point is that there is no COVID protocol. While the employees bar their children without rehearsing in the place of the pandemic, there is a discrepancy.

Not recommended for children.

We have enjoyed our family winter vacation in the Balcón del Abra, this place has been a pleasant discovery for us.The inn is located in a privileged place from which you can appreciate a horizon of serranías, hills and ravines.The architecture of the inn articulates itself on the slope of the hill by creating a variety of spaces created by Ursula, its designer. spaces, between introverts and open spaces, alternating terraces, ponds and meadows, a path through the hill, which gives its name to the place.But our stay was filled with adrenaline when we went up a 4x4 and began a tradition of two mountain passes, passing through the artistic avenue of the city, passing through the canyon and the canyon.

The health protocols for covid are not respected.The place is beautiful, the cabalgatas unique and the food excellent.The cabalgatas officer and the cook are very friendly, their two owners ruin the experience.

We went with the whole family to spend the weekend. The place is very beautiful, and very cared for, with trees and flowers planted by its owner, with much love. The attention of its owners and staff was very attentive.The rooms are large and very comfortable. The surroundings are beautiful, at the foot of a hill, and with the addition of an ecological swimming pool very enjoyable at this time of year.

A beautiful place.

We visited the Posada de Campo Balcón del Abra as a family and had a beautiful weekend. The place is set in a very comfortable way, with spacious rooms and a wood-burning stove in almost all cases. The decoration and quality of everything they offer is very good. You can even hire a service with GOURMET food. There are multiple activities to do. And it is also ideal for resting, reading, etc. The food, simple, homemade and of good quality. It includes breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner. Lindas recalgatas accompanied, surrounding the picturesque setting. The very friendly staff, provides a good service. The owners (Ursula y Diego) are EXCELENT ANFITRIONES and all who give the HOGAR ANFITRIONES welcome to the visitors.
