You won't be bothered by noise in this calm backstreet which is still close to the eastern end of the promenade and beach.  Friendly Gabriella will settle you in and help you with all you need to know.  The room was very well appointed, even had a mini kitchenette with microwave, kettle and fridge.  Hanging space, a table and a floor fan. The wifi worked ok and there is a garden at the back.  Our shower did leak quite a lot and the shower head needed replacing - minor details but messy.  A good budget option in this quaint seaside town.

A Peaceful Stop

One of the worst places I have ever stayed.My friend booked a room with 2 beds.She found one with a small kitchenette. When we arrived at the "hotel" - more like a hostel - we were given a room with a double bed and a small bed in the kitchen.When we complained that that is not what we reserved we were told how lucky we were to have a place for 3 and during Carnivale (which was subsequently rained out).As my friend had been driving for hours she got the big bed, a/c and TV.I got the kitchen - no fan, mosquitos because I needed air from the window, small bed and the only electrical outlet working was the one for the microwave and fridge, so the fridge puddled on the floor. Shower was tiny and floor flooded every time, shower curtain broken.Bathroom was so small that our heads touched the door when seated on the toilet.Main bedroom curtain was falling down, bedside lamp not working, open bookshelf with clothes hangers served as a "cupboard", had to unplug TV to charge batteries.Other issues included noise from neighbours and street,no breakfast room, instant coffee we had to make ourselves and floors dusty.The only good aspect was the location which is walking distance from the water.
