This is a very nice hotel and to know how good the location is, you just need to look to the pictures. Good rooms, good breakfast, good service. Only disadvantage (of the location): far from the best restaurants in the city (but close to the sights).

Superb location

Unsafe environment due to shody electrical. Upon checking in I plugged the lamp into the wall, and the electrical outlet exploded blowing the cord apart, burning my hand, my eyebrows and the front of my hair. The staff were outside the door when it happened, and I immediately told them what happened. They didn't apologize. They didn't ask if I was OK.  They did not offer to move me to another room. They did nothing about the situation except bring me a new lamp. 

The staff is unorganized.  Despite confirming our bookings two weeks in advance, again confirming them seven day prior to arrival and again two hours before arrival, when we checked in the staff acted like we had no reservations and they knew nothing about our coming. After showing them the WhatsApp messages, including the quoted prices it took another hour before one of our three rooms were ready, and then we had to deal with the explosion of the lamp and socket. 

We booked a triple room, a double room and a single room. After we arrived the staff removed a bed from the single room and put the bed in the triple room.

We will not be staying here again and highly recommend, for safety reasons, others avoid doing so.

Unsafe environment. Electric Explosion.

This hotel has an excellent location, the room was very clean and a good breakfast was served in a panoramic terrace. 
The staff is very helpful. We planned to reach Fergana by train from Tashkent but all the trains were full. Fortunately, after having explain the problem to the reception guy,  he quickly arrange for us  the transfer from Tashkent to Fergana by car.  We found his friend waiting for us in front of the train station and we finally arrived in Fergana.  We paid 50 USD...a travel agency in Tashkent  asked  us 250 USD for a transfer by car.

Good hotel and helpful staff

Stayed in this hotel for three nights. This hotel has excellent location near Bibi Khanum mosque, and has beautiful view. Breakfast spread was very good with a beautiful dining area. Very easy to do site seeing as E vehicle can be taken from the main road, which is a pedestrian zone, here other vehicles are not allowed. For commuting to/ from hotel, Yandex can be taken from the back lane, near Bobur restaurant, from where the hotel is a few steps away. No issue for carrying luggage too, as there is a narrow lane besides Bibi Khanum mosque, which connects the back lane to hotel. 

Hotel needs to work on other aspects- better house keeping and wifi. Bathroom cleaning needs to be done properly with refilling of toiletries. Sugar wasn’t provided even after demanding. Wifi didn’t work for 1.5 day, which was quite surprising.

Excellent location with beautiful rooms

Location is superb! We had slight trouble finding it when we went for the first time. Tip: Put bibi khanum mosque on Yandex rather than Bibi khanum hotel and they'll drop you at the end of an alley from where it's a 50m walk. There are restaurants right outside which are extremely good and a short tuk tuk ride away to Registan and Shahi Zinda. Breakfast hall is simply beautiful with a great view & food is also nice. Drawback: Wifi didn't work for 30 hours during our stay and hotel ran out of shower gel. Moreover, the housekeeping did a shoddy job - didn't replace shower gels / shampoo bottles everyday, forgot to keep water bottles. Housekeeping needs to be trained better.

Excellent location but housekeeping needs more training

Hotel Bibikhanum is located right next to the Bibikhanum mosque, in the old city. Also, it is a 10 minute walk from the famous Registan Square. It is so close to the Bibikhanum mosque, that you can actually see the dome from the restaurant. The room was nice and spacious. The restaurant serves all meals - though you have to pay separately for dinner, as these establishments seem to have separate billing systems. The people are very friendly and the staff is extremely accommodating. Right next to it is the Tashkent street, which does not allow any petrol / diesel powered vehicles. So you have to get off from your car a little distance away, in one of the back alleys and lug your bags (the distance is not very much though). Happy to recommend a stay here.

Very well located hotel

Enjoyed our stay here. Loved the location of this hotel, most of the attractions are nearby  & good view of Bibikhanum Mosque from the hotel. Check in & chek out experience was good & quick, receptionist speaks good English. Room is very spacious, neat & clean. Bed is comfortable. Bathroom is also spacious, provided Shampoo, shower gel, soap. Tea, bottle water & slippers are provided as well. The breakfast is included & good, varieties of hot & cold dishes are available. Restaurant sitting is very nice & we enjoyed dinner here, food & service quality is very good. All staffs are professional. I recommend this hotel.

Good hotel

We really loved this place. The room is great, the views are fantastic. Loved the balcony. The restaurant is just ok. My son and I are English speaking and he speaks Russian fluently, it seemed that our server for dinner on two separate nights was not very fluent in either language and ordering was a little complicated. We had issues with laundry, which after being told it was no problem took 3 days to complete. 

So 10 out of 10 for the room, but the restaurant is just ok and avoid using the laundry service. If you drink coffee, none available in room - just tea. Also no bottled water, which was available at every hotel we stayed at in Uzbekistan. 

Beautiful location

Our stay in Samarkand was made more remarkable with our stay at the Hotel Bibikhanum.  We were able to arrange from them a transfer from the train station to the hotel, as we arrived early in the morning.  As the hotel is located on a side street next to the Bibikhanum Mosque complex, we were able to use that as a landmark to get back to the hotel.  The courtyard and the on-site Zargaron Restaurant give an amazing view of the Bibikhanum Mosque from the side, which made for an amazing backdrop for breakfast in the morning.  We were able to leave our luggage at the hotel and sightsee in the morning while we waited for our room to be ready for check-in.  Our room was located on the second floor, next to the restaurant, which had ambient noise in the morning and night but quieted down for bedtime.  The room was large, with comfortable beds.  Each bed had a double outlet next to the nightstand, which was convenient for charging our devices.  The bathroom was also large and roomy, and the towel heater was welcome for the chilly nights.  Breakfast was served in the Zargaran Restaurant starting at 7:30AM.  A buffet spread of cold cuts, cheeses, crepes, an egg dish, breads, fruits, coffee and tea was abundant.  Best of all was the view of the dome during breakfast.  The hotel front desk was also able to help us arrange a car for a day trip to the Urgut Bazaar outside Samarkand and to Shahkrisabz for a reasonable price.  The hotel is an easy walk to the Registan and most of the sites in the historical area, but a bit aways from the restaurants and nightlife in the New City.  Ask the front desk to call you a regular cab to get there.  Overall, this was a great hotel that made our stay in Samarkand wonderful.

Spectacular in Samarkand

Very nice place BUT just be careful when booking a pick up driver with them!! 

The staff overcharged us. 
They made us pay 10 times the normal taxi fare from the train station when we arrived. 15 USD instead of 1,5 USD. And it had to be cash and without receipt. 

While not a huge deal it felt fishy and was a slight disappointment on an overall enjoyable stay. Better get a cab on your own at the train station. Which is easy.
