Navruz Hotel Tashkent 

We visited Tashkent in February as my wife was working there. We stayed for a week in the hotel and had a very pleasant stay. Everyone at the hotel was very welcoming and friendly and very helpfully their English was excellent, which was a great help to us. The room was a standard hotel room which served our purposes very well. We were a little confused by the single duvet and rather foolishly spent one night trying to squeeze under it. Happily, common sense prevailed the next day as I found the other duvet in the wardrobe. The bed was very comfortable and the ensuite bathroom perfect for our needs. The hotel is a short walk away from the amazing TV tower (highly recommended) and the local metro station and a short, very affordable taxi ride from all the sights in the city. We did not use local shops much as the hotel catered for most of our needs but the area includes a number of food outlets. The hotel bar was a great place to meet up and provided a range of soft and alcoholic drinks and a menu ranging from bar snacks to full meals. All were prepared and served promptly and all proved very tasty. We particularly enjoyed the local selection of drinks. The breakfast bar was extensive and changed every day. As a vegan, this wasn't always great for me but I considered that to be my problem and, given how attentive the staff were throughout our stay, if I had mentioned it to them I imagine they would have offered me additional choices. A hot drink was usually made as soon as we walked in and when we had to leave to go to the airport at a very early hour the staff made us each a drink to take with us, which was a very nice touch. The hotel has a covered rooftop terrace from which you can see the TV tower and this was a very nice place to spend time. We would definitely recommend this hotel and were very grateful to all the staff for their welcome.
