My family has fond memories of stay here with host Huy and his wife. In our five weeks of travel our stay here
was one of the best. We really got a taste of the Mekong Delta so much more than is we had stayed in some 
fancy high rise hotel. Our taxi driver drove down tiny little roads, over bridges by hundreds of mangrove coconut trees to get to Huy's home  Definitely a welcomed sight after time spent in Saigon.

We enjoyed meeting and dining the other guest there from around the world. Huy entertained us all serving up his rice wine and singing karaoke . We rode bikes to the market and also he took us for a drive to have some fabulous pho ,and a temple visit. The boat trip down the river was good fun too. 

The food at the homestay was nicely presented and delicious both nights. 
Would definitely recommend this homestay if you want a true Mekong Delta experience with the locals.  

Memorable Stay

This place is absurd, everything whent well until the last morning, when the staff made roosters fight each other. Seeing 2 animals fight just for human pleasure and bets is just redicules. They fight until they have no wings or legs left. 😭🤮And they make it as if it's a funny thing.

We have just left this jungly oasis. We stayed in a rustic, but air conditioned 4 bed family room that was really nice. The food is excellent and Hue, the host, wanted us to have an authentic Mekong experience. We went on a small boat trip up the river, went on a bike ride, visited a coconut sweet, honey and some local weaving workshops. In the evening, over a few beers, we were treated to fascinating tales of daring deeds during the war, interspersed with the odd karaoke classic!! I highly recommend this place.

A great little find

Great stay and atmosphere. I will definitely be coming back for another visit and staying here. Enjoyed everybit with friends including great food, boat ride and evening filled with mah jong and beers


Relax in a hammock 

3 families, 5 kids. Owners are close and friendly. Cooking lessons available (stuffed rice crepes). Food is excellent (breakfast, dinner). Barbecue fish, homemade rolls, fried rice, fruits...  
Evening top fun. Karaoke, rice wine. Owners create an memorable atmosphere - singing in viet langage creates unforgettable souvenirs.
Guest house is typical and lovely. 
Rooms are decent. However showers are not that functional. 
Bike available for riding the countryside. 
We would definitely stop there again if travelling close by 

Worth stopping. Awesome ambiance

We stayed 3 nights in this homestay in the heart of the coconut city of Ben Tre (2h30 from Saigon) and I was sad to leave Huy and his wife who welcomed us so well!
If you want to cut yourself off from the modern world and live in slow motion in the South Vietnam countryside then go for it! The house is decorated very nicely and there are 9 bedrooms including 2 communicating rooms (beds for 8 people!), Open bathroom (mosquito but there is a mosquito net for each bed), bathroom. water and greenery everywhere !! Huy offers the best meals of the Mekong Delta (we have not found better since we left), offers bike and boat trips on the Mekong to explore the activities of locals (making best coconut candy, banana candy, brick making, coffee etc ...)
And you will succumb to its karaoke nights ... whether you like it or not 😊 along with a glass of beer, rice liquor or ginger herbal tea ❤️

What a wonderful homestay !!

The location is super easy to find. The food was genuinely some of the best I have had in Vietnam. We also went on a boat tour where the owner kindly joined and gave us loads of information on the history of the area. We visited a cool market (not one set up for tourist). We finished our day with more delicious food and a bit of karaoke with the owner and a friend of his... brilliant! Rooms were big clean and beds i could have stayed in for a week! My wife also had a brilliant massage there, give it ago. Overall a perfect place to unwind, eat, read and enjoy. Thanks for the amazing time that was all the owner (who has also learnt english and to cook form his phone.) Good on ya lad! Great work!

Charming owner paired in a charming location

Really enjoyed staying at Charming for 2 nights. Huy the manager is friendly, fun, and very welcoming - enjoy the delicious meals and of course don't skip the karaoke after! The day tour around Ben Tre and surrounds was a real treat, as well. The rooms are very comfortable. Fantastic value for the money.

My only complaint is that it's hard to find - and the phone number listed on booking.com is disconnected. To find the place search google maps for DUYÊN QUÊ CHARMING COUNTRYSIDE.

Great homestay, friendly and welcoming staff

This very nice guesthouse is located in the beautiful surroundings of the Mekong Delta. You will be taken on trips by bike or boat in a tropical beautiful setting. you will visit family and friends and you will learn the real Vietnamese life. The food was real local cuisine, wonderfully tasty and plentiful. Many services such as cycling, lunch, ... are free. One of the best stays in Vietnam. On occasion, I will definitely go back. Thank you very much Mr Tam for your hospitality. I really enjoyed talking to you .Special thanks to Hue for the vietnamese language lessons.

Charming hospitality in a beautiful surrounding

I recently was fortunate enough to revisit this lovely homestay, a short distance form the delta city of Ben Tre and quietly nestled beside a lovely treed lane way.
It was interesting to return, as a new Garden Villa was under construction, as on my last visit the homely new dinning area was just at the point of having its concrete slab poured too. Interesting to witness soil being pumped onto the site, through long plastic pipes, all part of a real Mekong Delta experience.
The complex is indeed charming and as on my last visit I was so impressed with the standard of the excellent food served and with the warmth of genuine hosts. Was a pleasure meeting other guests enjoying the home stay, but of course it was the hosts who really made my time there so enjoyable.
Once again I enjoyed cycling down the narrow lane ways, often greeted by friendly hellos or at the the very least broad smiles.
Both times there I have bought locally produced honey, which continues the pleasure of my stay for weeks to come.
So special to be in such a natural envrionment and as well as honey, there are many simply great products to purchase, mostly for good functional usage.
The rooms I stayed in have been comfortable and charmingly decorated, a far cry from the usual characterless  hotel accommodation.
Make the effort to get off the beaten track and you will be richly rewarded.
Many thanks to my hosts again, which soon felt like family.
