We stayed for 3 days. It is a true homestay. The owners make you feel so welcome and they are incredibly polite and generous.They prepare tea and coffee and will collect a coconut if you want to try. 

We stayed in the family room and found it to be perfect for our needs. 

They employ two young guys who speak good English and who can take you on a tour and so on. We spent some time with Peace and it was very interesting to get some understanding of what Vietnamese life is like for young people. 

The location is great. 10 mins to the city with grab and taxi easily available. Great coffee shop 20 meters on the right and excellent resturant 20 meters on the left of you feel like staying in.

A fantastic few days

Basic but good homestay. 
Our room was equipped with an airconditioning and a fan - no mosquito came in. Additionally there was a mosquito net above our bed. The water pressure was low. 
The fridge was filled with drinks. 
The owners are lovely people although they don't speak English but they are being helped by two young men. 
Breakfast was good, the banh mi we got were super fresh, better than in some hotel we stayed before. 
They offer half day tours of which we took two. One tour was the floating market plus rice noodle factory plus a coacoa farm, very educational and the market is something one should experience. 
The other tour brought us to Con Son Island where we saw fish nurseries (feeding the fish), we made our own Vietnamese pancakes, tried guave and waterlilly salad and finally the elephant ear fish, a regional specialty. The tours are also very suitable for children as they are very hands on.

Lovely homestay 

The hosts of the Green Garden Homestay make you feel at home immediately. They provided us with fruits and tea throughout and were very friendly and lovely. The room was like in the description, spacious and simple, we found it comfortable, there is everything you need. We loved the hammocks outside of our room, very relaxing! Breakfast was yummy too. Can strongly recommend!

Lovely hosts

One night stay, but wished for many more. 
Basic but very clean accomodation. Quite and beautiful garden, Can Tho city seems far away. Owner couple are super nice and friendly, making great dinner and fun evening! Slept well in this ocean of green. 

Super nice and friendly place & owners

Although the family is incredibly nice and sweet, this homestay is honestly a dump. The taxi they sent to pick us up from the train station was 45 minutes late in the pouring rain and we were expected to pay for it even after it was late and the family had assured us transportation was free when we booked the room. The family does not speak much English so it is hard to communicate unless you have google translate. There is trash and coconut shells everywhere in the overgrown garden. It is mosquito infested and smells like sewage. There was a mosquito net over only one of the two beds so be prepared to sacrifice. The taxis and grab also do not like go to here because it is a bit far from city center. They have a dog that is very cute but barks at night. The pictures online looked beautiful and charming but it was nothing like that when we showed up. If you do stay here please ask about a local orphanage/temple that sells delicious food in order to generate income. It is an amazing experience!

Catfished

It is hard to give this place a 1-5 star rating because it is such a different type of accommodation than my husband and I are used to.  I don’t know how to compare it to other homestay accommodations.  The rooms are individual bungalows that are set off of an inner garden.  The rooms are basic and clean but the ceilings are partially open which helps air circulation but also means that one hears everything going on outside.  This can be quite jarring for a city gal. We are just not used to hearing roosters calling out several time in the night.  Also a new experience was sleeping under mosquito netting.  I was startled in the evening because it sounded like an animal might drop from the ceiling at any moment.  This was just the owner’s cat scampering about.
The owners are a retired husband and wife who are lovely and welcoming.  They don’t speak much English but they have some students from the local university stating and working there so they are a help in communicating.  The food was simple and somewhat bland except for the soup which was excellent and flavorful.  Glad we stayed for the opportunity to experience something different but also glad it was for only one night. Not being used to all of the unusual sounds and humidity, we really didn’t sleep all that well.

Rustic but clean

We stayed at Green Garden Homestay for 3 nights.
We had a lovely time. The hosts are very nice and they treat you like family.
We had dinner a couple of times and we were treated with lovely vietnamese food. And both times there were more than enough. And it cost around 12$ for the 4 of us.
They help you organise transfer to hcmc aswell and it work great.
Also the day/halfday trip to floating Market  were a very good expirience.

We loved our stay.



VERY welcoming hosts

We had spent here for 1 night and we did had a great experience. The sound of gecko in the evening and rooster in the morning gave me the real rural life here.The owner - She is a good cook and her husband is very helpful and friendly. 
Because you will have chance to live with the host and family members so that they cannot be professional in service and they don't serve you as their customer, they will serve you as they guest - that's all I learnt from them.
One more plus point - We can not forget their dog - so cute and naughty :)).
Thanks for doing this business and still keep all Vietnam cultural tradition.

Real homestay in Can Tho!!

The small wooden bungalow lacks a bit of confort, especially regarding the bathroom. However it is still really cozy, hidden in the garden and with its hammock !
The host family is really kind, offered us a fresh drink and fruit on arrival and ran after us when we left to give us Food for our bus trip :)
We also attended their morning tour (floating market, bike ride, noodle making, cocoa farm) , which was really immersive, off the beaten tracks and well-organised and lead by a young local willing to share his own culture. 

A friendly family business ! 

Excellent authentic experience. We arrived late and in the rain feeling uncertain. But meeting the family and Peace who became our guide put all in perspective for a well planned trip to see the market delta temples and cycling. Peace was terrific wi this taking us on small boats etc for a more intimate experience.
