Hung's Homestay is excellent. Really acommodating and nice. We cooked dinners with the house staff, and went visiting around with Mr Hung. He is amazing and sings really well!!!
Near Cai Rang Floating Market, The University and the Greenhouses. Big Theme park just behind it and a Wonderfull Temple, where we visited and were invited so stay and eat.
Vietnam is just an amazing place with amazing people. You just cant go wrong.

Bike trip in the Mekong Delta.

We stayed here as part of an arranged tour from Saigon to the Mekong delta. Staying here was the best part of the whole trip. The staff were so welcoming and friendly and Tao was brilliant! Loved learning to make pancakes! Very peaceful and enjoyed watching the jumping chipmunks!

Amazing friendly homestay

The staff here is clearly trying to skim on money to pay for ingredients since all of dinner was vegetarian except for 1 fish which was not enough to feed a table of 6-8 hungry people who are all used to eating some meat with their meal. They even made banh xeo with veggies and tofu which is traditionally made with shrimp and pork. Breakfast was a single loaf of bread. Yes you heard that right. Bread and nothing else. I think it would have been less insulting to not serve breakfast at all rather than to advertise a "free breakfast" with such a meager portion. Terrible. 

Terrible cheap quality food

This homestay was the best! Hung receive us  with arms open, he was a great host. We ended up here because of a 2d/1n tour in Delta Mekong, and it was one of the highlight of the tour. The cooking, the stories, the easy conversation, the Bingo! The food was local  quit a lot and really good! Great way to meet some other travellers and local people. The staying was confortable, the place beautiful and dreamy. We recomend for those who are looking for being in more contact with the place and still have some confort.

Great people

We got here through an agency and didn't expect such a nice place. The food was very tasty! The family is super super friendly and open, you can have great conversations with them, specialy with Tao. They also have four dogs here and they are so lovely and sweet. If you are in this area and want to make a homestay, I reccomend this place <3

Surprisingly good

We really enjoyed our overnight stay at 'Hung's Homestay'. The owner, Hung, is extremely friendly and a wonderful host. He ensured that we felt very welcome, and was fantastic company. We settled into our Bungalow - which was fairly humble, but has everything you need for a 1 night stay. In beautiful surrounds with the canal/creek running in and around the bungalows - the mosquito nets were great. The dinner was really lovely, we got to share in the cooking of our meals, and had a great conversation with Hung over dinner. After dinner, we sang some Kareoke, which was hilarious. Hung respected that we were tired and so we had a nice early night. There was only a small group of us staying, so it was very quiet and peaceful. I would recommend bringing ear plugs though, as the animals can be a little bit noisy (rooster crows in the morning!) and insect repellent. Highly recommend this experience over staying in the city of Can To - much more relaxing and authentic.

Relaxing, Fun and Awesome Homestay!

Stayed here as part of a 2 day 1 night tour in the Mekong Delta. Had such a great time, amazing food and entertainment - cooking class, bingo and karaoke. Comfy beds and mosquito nets provided. The host was lovely and took us to the early morning local market before our tour of the floating market. Would recommend, we loved our stay here! 

So much fun! 

We stayed here one night as part of a group tour and am glad we did. 
Once we had settled in to our bungalow... basic but cute and clean... we were given a class on making our own spring rolls, cooked and ate them with a delicious dinner.  The host was so friendly, speaks good English and yes, he does encourage you to Play card games, party and karaoke :) and will do anything for you he can. 
Off the beaten track but I loved the charm of the bungalows backing onto the river too. 

Group tour stop off, loved it. 

Couldn't get to the homestay as the road was blocked (not their fault). Room an adequate size but grubby - lots of dirty scrubbing brushes lying around. Bathroom dirty too. Family very friendly, but liked to party late into the night with music blaring. Lights outside stay on all night so there is always light shining into your room (bamboo walls have lots of gaps).  Small room fan not adequate.

Very average

A really friendly host family, which also spreaks good English. Really great food. Simple, but clean bungalow with own toilet and nice terrace with river view in front. We enjoyed our two night stay there very much!
