We had a great stay at Mékong logis. Everything was perfect,and the hosts, Fredo and his family went out of their way to make sure that everyone was happy.
His son took us out on the land tour that was great. The next day, we had a wonderful experience on a boat tour with Linh, the daughter, some of the places she took us to, were  just out of this world.
If you plan on visiting Can tho, make sure you reserve at Mékong logis, you will be happy, you did.

Mékong logis, WONDERFUL PLACE

We stayed for three days in the wonderful Mekong Logis. The room was clean and nice, but the best part was the tour with Linh! She shows you the real non-tourist parts of Can Tho, a floating market, small streets, landscape - perfect! 

The best part of our Vietnam tour!

Originally we booked Chambres D'hotes because we had heard about the great Mekong Delta tour Linh and her father Fredo provide. Unfortunately, we weren't able to book a tour with them because Linh had an urgent matter in HCMC. Despite not being there, she reached out via my booking.com reservation and provided me with her whatsapp so that I could contact her with any questions I might have since her parents speak limited English. 

Linh provided detailed instructions on how to get to their home from HCMC. We were able to get to her place with no problems. 

Via text Linh's English was very good. She gave us a heads up that her parents spoke French and Vietnamese but limited English.  My friend and I both have only a very basic understanding of French (Thanks, Duolingo), so communication was rather entertaining, but we managed. 

The room was clean and with very high ceilings. The bed is on the hard side, but most beds in Asia are. There was free water and bananas for us in the room, as well as a fridge. The bathroom is a wet bathroom, and the lighting is pretty dim. That would have been our biggest "complaint", but it works and there was hot water, so all is well. 

We ended up doing a private Delta tour with a friend of theirs and it was fantastic!

Linh's mom helped us reserve bus tickets back to HCMC and had the bus's free shuttle service pick us up in town. 

Overall, this place was very good, especially for the price. I would definitely stay here again if I were in the area. 



Nice homestay/guesthouse in Can Tho

The location is perfect, you are on 10 minutes walking distance from the center but since this location is on a small crossroad from a mainroad, it is quiet. The room is clean and has airconditioning.For some extra payement you can have a superb breakfast, fresh baked eggs, fresh bread, FRESH orange juice, fresh fruit and ofcourse coffee and tea. Compared with other hotels this breakfast is really great. The owners are nice people and have no problem doing your laundry.
The only minus is that a car can not easily drive through the crossroad so a taxi will bring you to the mainroad and than you have to walk the last 5 minutes. 
Worth every minute of walking.
You have breakfast in the garden, shadow or sun.

The friendliness of the family and the Mekong Tour with Linh made this place stand out during our three weeks in Vietnam.  The parents speak only French and Vietnamese, so we mostly communicated through LInh, who speaks excellent English as well as French.  Linh is down to earth and fun to be around.  We did the Mekong Delta tour that she organizes herself, and we had a great time going down smaller canals and walking around the small rural settlements in the area.  She also made an excellent recommendation for dinner in Can Tho.  When leaving, the family helped arrange pick-up from a shuttle to take us to the bus station back to Saigon.  All in all, a wonderful experience.
