I originally gave one star based on the 'incident' which happened but I'll change it to 2 stars because there were some good things about the place so I'll be generous.    Before I get to what happened, here is my experience overall:   The location is not great, but I was on a motorcycle tour of Vietnam so location isn't a big deal for me.   The house is nice, the rooms are upstairs and spacious.  Modern shared bathroom, but the rent is low so no complaints about having to share.   

First issue:  No drinking water.   I'm not sure if the owners realize it, but water is a necessity and people don't usually bring their own, since so hotel that I've ever stayed at hasn't provided it.   I'm an early riser so I went downstairs at 6 am looking for drinking water, but there was none to be found.  About an hour later I went back and a family member who couldn't speak much English waved in the area of the kitchen indicating there was some there.   Thanks for not showing me, and in fact there wasn't.   Only after about another half hour did the son who speaks good English said, 'oh you have to boil the water, and we keep it in these containers, but they're empty right now'   so I waited for him to boil some.    Not impressed.   I understand that the owners aren't 'early birds' but at least have some information in the room about what time breakfast is served, (along with some water) since it's included with the rent.  

Next:  I was on the phone on an important call around 9 am, and the owner of the place kept yelling at me from downstairs that breakfast was ready.  Wow, i thought I had the right to privacy, but I guess not.  Then they started knocking on my door with it.   Finally they just brought it into my room.  Thanks but you shouldn't do that.  

Last:  the 'incident' which caused the previous one star rating.    The owner of the house has rules posted that 'no noise is allowed after 10 pm'  fine.   One of the guests there was on his phone CONSTANTLY even well past midnight, talking very loud.   Finally he stopped.  Whew.   Nothing to do with the owners of the house.  I finally fell asleep, maybe at 1 am and guess what?  At 2:30 am (not joking) he had a bunch of family members arrive for a visit.  Lovely.  And they were VERY loud for at least a half hour.   Wow.  When I complained the next day there was a mild apology but the attitude was one of 'well, these things happen'.    If I was the owner I would have given a discount on the rent, but he didn't, and he's getting a 2 star review.

Not acceptable

I can only give one star based on the outrageous incident that happened during my stay.  First of all, I don't go to bad particularly early, say around midnight.  But when staying at Dalat Authentic Homestay the owner had relatives show up to visit.  At 2:30 am!!  No, I'm not kidding.   Not only did they make a lot of noise until about 3 o'clock, but the owner has a policy, clearly posted, that 'no noise is allowed after 10 o'clock.   So the owner is flagrantly violating his own rules.   Completely unacceptable

Huan is a very attentive, smiling gentleman, who will try hard to make your stay and experience a good one. The food is great, the trips he make a great and the commitment to his guests is on a level i have not seen before. Its very easy to see that Huan likes what he does for a living 🙂

Best deal you get in Da Lat

We stayed 5 days in a room with two dobbelt beds. I really enjoyed the stay the breakfast, dinner and help towards planning trips. We went on the day trip to weasel farm, pepper farm, waterfalls etc.
I hope to get the opportunity to return some day.

The perfect base

I want to say thank you so much to Huan and his team!
 We took a motorcycle trip for half a day.
 In a short phone call at 10 pm - Juan coordinated our morning walk.
 The drivers arrived just in time for us to pick us up from the hotel and were very kind and professional.
 All the service we received from Izzy Ryder was just outstanding from start to finish.
 Huan is really nice, services and kind.
 Speaks English (and some Hebrew).
 The activity and meal at the end were just good and well worth the money.
 highly recommend!!

Perfect travel with Huan

We stayed as a family group, initially booked for 4 nights but shortened our stay to be closer to town and transport
Positives: lovely hosts, Huan speaks fluent English and is keen to help. Breakfast (omelette and baguette) and dinner is included in board. 
Huan’s easyrider tours didn’t suit us but he met our request to organise a minibus and customized a tour for us. Bedrooms are spacious, pedestal fans available. Awesome coffee shop at end of street.
Things you need to know: the property is far from town, definitely not walking distance and it’s not easy to flag a taxi. Most bedrooms are upstairs, shower and toilets are downstairs which can be awkward at night. The property looks very different to the external photos; there is now a large enclosed patio at the front where meals are served...spacious but ~5C warmer than outdoors 
Well suited to back packers that are looking for adventure tours, not so well suited to families 

Quite far out of town

After reading many reviews about your homestay, I and my boyfriend decided to stay here for our Dalat trip. Everything here is just amazing and fantastic. The host family is pleasant, friendly, the room is spacious and comfortable. breakfast and dinner is great. Hope to come back in the next time

Amazing

We went to a day trip (long one) with Huan and it was definitely the best day that we had in Vietnam!!!! 
Weve been in 16 places, Huan knows english so good and explained us a lot of things that we didnt know.
You muat go with him to an easyrider long day trip!

We just jumped for dinner which we were invited for free- family of 5. 
He fixed us the mini bus to mui ne on the cheapest price that I could find. 
It's was nice meeting big businessmen with the notice for the small details and big open heart ❤️

Houan is a great houst

We booked this family home stay after hearing positivite reviews from a friend and it exceeded all expectations. The family are lovely and welcoming and make sure all your needs are looked after; such as money, taxis, day trips etc. The room was spacious and comfortable. There was a real family feel to the place and we made many friends. The easy rider tour took the whole day and was affordable and insightful. It was great fun and helped us see the 'real Vietnam'. The food is cooked fresh each morning and night and was lovely. Never wanted to leave and would definitely return when next in Vietnam!!!!
