I leave the Santa Claus Hostel with warm memories of human connection...  of the help that was afforded in making personalized taxi arrangements (needing to catch a 7am flight), in having my laundry done, of being asked how they could help, and if being helpful and selfless in their approach. 

But beyond that was the opportunity to sit on the balcony with their friends and other guests and kibitz and eat and drink (“happy water” anyone?) and laugh and sing/karaoke with very good people. 

My days were spent with adventure trips (kayak one day, canyoning/rappelling the next), so I barely saw Dalat. But my memories of the city are strongly shaped by the genuine joy and happiness I had in sharing connective human moments with these people - names and voices and smiles I will not soon forget. 

This is why I travel!

Ho! Ho! Hello!!!

We only stayed one night but we’ll never forget this beautiful family! It’s more of a homestay than a hostel, and the food is delicious. It’s not too far to walk into town but is still quiet enough to get a good night’s rest. It’s wedged into a sea of alleys and laneways just off a main road, making it both secluded and central. We felt like we were part of the family the whole time :-)

Felt like part of the Family

Thank you so much for my stay at your hostel. The husband and wife who own the hostel are just so lovely..invited me to drink and eat with them and their friends. Enjoyed Luna new year with them watching the fire works on the roof terrace.
Very clean hostel, comfortable beds with curtains and plug sockets. Great breakfast, they helped me with recommendations what to do and go see, even though some things were closed because of the Luna new year holidays. 
Easy to walk to the centre and 2min just a  walk to Crazy house. 
Not too many people here when I stayed but they made me feel at home and enjoyed my time very much.

The most humble, friendly and helpful hostel.

This is 100% my favourite hostel during my travelling, the family running this hostel are amazing, such nice and welcoming people! They really looked after me and my friends, the hostel has such a homely feel and very clean, the breakfast is also amazing, would recommend to anyone!

Amazing!

Very well located; not far from the Crazy House and walking distance to the centre. The rooms are spacious, every bed has curtains and individual reading lights. Rooms and bathrooms were perfectly clean. On top there is a terrace where you can enjoy a nice view overlooking Dalat. The breakfast includes coffee/tea, bread, your choice of eggs and fresh fruits. The owner even cooked me a delicious dinner and invited me and other guests to have some rice wine with him and his friends. Really, there is nothing you can complain about.

Spacious rooms and caring owner

I visited Da Lat with two friends and we stayed at Santa Claus. The guys who run the Hostel are very friendly and helpful. They cook amazing breakfast and dinner. The bedrooms and clean and the beds are large and comfortable. There is a great view from the top balcony. The Hostel is quiet and a little further away from the centre of town - but it is a great place to relax.

Friendly Hostel

Don't get scared by the whole "christmas theme" here. The owners simply explained that "everyone loves Christmas!" when I asked them about the reason behind choosing this theme for their hostel. The owners are extremely kind and warm and tend to all of your needs. If you're looking for a homey stay in Da Lat with a family feeling, please go here! You'll become friends with the couple who owns this place, share meals and drinks with them and they make you feel so safe. Love them so much and still remember them after allt his time :) Went here in January 2017 but that option was not available anymore ;)

Staff is exceptionally sweet

Hostel was very quiet but this is low season. Beds clean but there were ants in the room. Breakfast fine - fried egg, bread and jam. Only green tea or coffee no other teas offered. They made us eggs earlier than breakfast starting time our last day which was very kind.

Little bit out of the main town, we like walking but it's not so fun in the rain and slightly colder weather of Da Lat. near crazy house.

Staff very friendly.
