We stopped at the restaurant for dinner in our stay in Cat Ba. We ordered a fried rice with vegetable and it came with about a quarter of a carrot in it while in the menu there were a lot of vegetables. We complained about it with them and they told us that there was carrot in there and that all the vegetable had been used for the hot pots. In the end we also had to pay the full price for the dish. This has been the worst restaurant since I arrived in Vietnam, horrible service and horrible food. Stay away from it. 

Worst restaurant in Vietnam so far

I booked this hotel for it's great location, and this is about all good I could say.  There was only one review in Vietnamese so far and was about problems booking with Agoda. I thought, what could go wrong? Actually almost everything. Room was very small and simple. Bed so uncomfortable, that I felt like was sleeping on the wooden boards.  Towels very small, completely used, almost destroyed.  There was no Wi-Fi Internet nor TV set in the room.  They offered me TV but there was no cable/satellite available in the room.  Internet in the lobby was so slow, I would consider it as non-existing. The staff very inconsiderate, if not rude. I could watch CNN news when a girl would get the remote with no question asked and turned TV off. Small children were often running around lobby area making a lot of noise. Except for 12 years old boy who occasionally was in hotel, no one spoke English, making impossible to communicate. Words "customer satisfaction" are definitely not in hotel personnel vocabulary. I regretted booking this hotel and would never stay there again.
