While the hotel itself is satisfactory, I am deeply disappointed by the breach of my privacy that occurred during my stay. It is crucial for hotels to prioritize privacy and discretion, as they are the most important aspects a guest can expect. Unfortunately, the hotel staff engaged in discussions about private matters with my guests, solely with the intention of undermining the dignity of a paying guest, particularly one from a foreign background.

I have encountered similar behavior from maids in the past, and it appears to be a recurring issue in Vietnam, particularly among older individuals who harbor animosity towards foreigners. It seems their aim is to make everyone as unhappy as they are.

To provide context, when my female companion left in the morning, the staff inquired if she was the same person who had been in my room the previous day. However, there are two significant problems with this discussion: firstly, there was nobody in my room prior to my arrival, as I had not yet entered Vietnam. Secondly, even if there had been someone else in my room, such a conversation is highly inappropriate and unacceptable on any level.

As a result, I strongly disagree with the staff's intent behind initiating such a discussion at the hotel. Consequently, I rate my experience with only one star, primarily due to the privacy issues I encountered.

Additionally, it is worth mentioning that the hotel is situated in a noisy neighborhood. Expect to be abruptly awakened by loud noises as early as 5 or 6 am, unless you have earplugs.

Considering the violation of my dignity as a guest by a judgmental local, I cannot recommend returning to this hotel.

I have lived here for 7 years as an expat apartment. Just the other day, the cash I had left in my room disappeared. I have reported it to Cong Vi Police. There is no safe in my room. Also, the only security camera is in the lobby. This apartment has many security issues.

I lost cash in my room!　部屋で現金がなくなった！

I needed to be in the district as  I had to be close to the Lotte Centre.  I could not complain as it ticked all the boxes for me.   I was on 4th floor in studio apartment and did not experience a noice problem other than the usual hussle and bussle of living in a very busy city district.   At the Lotte Centre there is an excellent supermarket and along the way good convenience stores so I could keep a food pantry going at home for when I did not deel liking venturing out.  As it is not a tourist area, I could walk around without hawkers harassing me, a major bonus.  Also an opportunity to just live amongs the locals in what I gather is a middleclass area.  Please becbeware this  is not a hotel and most of time it is hard to get hold of the manager so book tours and things elsewhere.  Also it is in an alley way so cabs can’t go there so find the nearest taxi area to save trouble. The Lotte Centre is a huge scyscraper of a building and only a brisk ten minute walk and taxis galore. Great value for money.

Authetic experience in pleasant apartment

They can't respect their engagement when you booked and then they try to put you in another place with higher prices!
The receptionist is the worst person in saw in my life! She doesn't even care when you try to talk to her even she can see that I have a newborn baby and need to find a solution quickly...
I really not recommend this place at all! 

Go far away from this place! 

I plan to write a very fair and balanced review. First of all, the apartment is lovely with nice space, washing machine, comfortable beds and is cleaned daily. Communication was good between Mr. Long and myself before and during the trip. The young man who liased  with us was very nice. It's a bit far from Old Quarter but taxis are cheap and plentiful. Big malls within 10 minutes taxi ride nearby. BUT.........there is something that the management does not inform prospective residents in advance and that is there is a construction site basically 5 feet from your window where hammering, buzzsawing,  drilling begins at around 5 am lasting all day. Our last night was horrendous. A team of 15 workers came at about 9 pm , Saturday night, and the same god awful hammering and drilling went on until 4 am. I wrote a text message to Mr. LONG at 1 am informing of the noise and that I was writing a negative review hoping for a room change. No response at all except for a very meek apology from the young boy in the morning who said he couldn't sleep either. They made two mistakes in my opinion: 1) they should have moved us across the hall to one of the empty apartments, 2) they should have informed us before we arrived of this noise so we could've made alternate arrangements. But they did not do either. They knew about all the noise because the young boy told me other residents had complained before. But they chose not to inform us or to do anything about moving us to another apartment. UNACCEPTABLE. If you decide to book here, make sure before you arrive that you do not get placed on the side of the building with construction or cancel your reservation.

Nice apartment but oh the noise!

We booked this appartment so we could experience life in hanoi for a fortnight. We certainly experienced living in the alleyways.  the appartment was very comfortable with very good wifi, shower and kitchen facilties. The washing machine on the balcony made for an easy life. And it was cleaned everyday when we went out.  it's a bit from old quater and a nice walk from the west lake and da binh square.  The noise from the alleyways is constant from 4am to 9pm, which can get waring after a while.  But at the moment there is building right next door and this is very loud at times culminating in the end in cement being poured starting at 11pm. Not sure when it ended as we moved out to a local hotel at midnight. The manager Mr long was excellent and very attentive and moved us quickly after I texted him. Once local building has been completed if you don't mind local noise this is a perfect appartment for a holiday.  

Two weeks in hanoi 

The apartment was fully equipped for general lifestyles, very clean and comfortable. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Location is great. Australia Embassy and Lotte Center is only 5-10min walking distance from the apartment. Several nice Vietnamese and Japanese restaurants are around. I like it and will definitely recommend if you're on business trip working nearby.
