Highly recommend for anyone in need of a hotel that is convenient location-wise and most importantly, clean. The hotel is on Truong Dinh Street which is just approximately 1-1.5km from the central entertainment/ eating venues or shopping malls of HCMC. The rooms are small, but comfy small, with pleasant decor and design. The thing I love most was the hygiene quality, everything was kept clean and dustless during my stay, especially the restroom. 
I love the service here too. The receptionist is really sweet and gentle, and the doorkeeper was very helpful when I was trying to catch a quick drive to the airport. 
Will continue to stay here if I come to HCMC again!

Friendly service + great hygiene

The hotel has a great location, is very clean, small and cute. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast yummie. It's a nice place to stay in Ho chi Minh, only....the bathroom (shower) is very small, I am tall and had some problems to take a shower....but, I am in Vietnam, and people are not so tall as I do, so....it's ok.

Loved this little Boutique hotel

I checked in on December 28th, 2018 and booked 2 rooms; 301 and 401. Both of our rooms had 2 comfortable beds, linen, pillow and a nice and fluffy duvet. You can request for extra pillows and towels from the competent and friendly housekeeping staff but keep in mind that their English is at an acceptable albeit minimum level. 

We actually fell in love with the hotel because of it's location and design and so we extended from 4 nights to 6 nights. 

It's very easy to order a Grab and you are only 25-41k Dong (That's basically 1-2 USD) from Ben Thanh street market, amazing money changers, street food, fruit stalls and District 1. And, before I forget, try the NGO 8 restaurant across the street from the hotel: order the fried squid, chicken wings with fish sauce and whatever else your heart desires...just keep in mind that this place fills up quickly with locals in the early evenings. 

The hotel itself appears to be an old French Colonial that was converted into a boutique hotel and that's what we love about it in spite of its warts (Bathtub shower area is not safe for people overweight or elderly. Rooms that had proper showers had no windows and the 1 door key per room policy is just silly; they will give you 2 but only one can open the door and the other can be used to keep the electric running) and there are a few; but for us they are definitely not a deal breaker and are more in line with something that's a bit of a headscratcher. 



Fantastic location and classic French Colonial influenced rooms

Every morning we were woken up by the neighbors, we had the impression that he was taking a shower in our room... soundproofing 0 Not much to the little European... disappointed!

It's a good location, but...

Due to the busy period in the city and domestic tourists, I had to move to this hotel for rest of my stay. The best thing about the hotel was the balcony over looking the park side and Kareoke in front of the hotel. The staff was very nice. Breakfast option not so great

Great Location

Fortunately this hotel is well situated which makes its point; otherwise the staff were not very welcoming but the clean and quiet rooms on the courtyard side; however our friends were on the street they were less fortunate than us.

The room is fairly small but ok, nice shower room and very clean.

The staff's English isn't very good at all so that can be difficult, but fair enough you are in Vietnam. However other nearby countries we did on the tour Inc Cambodia and Thailand the level of English at the hotels is much much higher.

Breakfast was ok, mainly the made to order omelettes, the rest was very average.

Where to begin?

Our first room stunk of smoke from the man smoking in the room opposite with his door wide open. This was ignored when we asked at reception. (Advertised as Non smoking hotel)  

Our new room, (one door along) the sheets had long black hairs all over them, possibly from previous occupant (although when questioned we were told it was from the staff that clean the rooms!) 

I asked for water to take painkillers, they refused as the kitchen was shut (our Vietnamese rep eventually persuaded them to give me some water; which arrived in a dirty stinking glass!) 

After a visit to hospital I was advised I needed to ice my shoulder - on arrival at the hotel I was informed that “they don’t do ice in the evening!” (The local shop gave me some for free) As we had missed all the restaurants due to a prolonged stay in hospital we asked at reception for a fork to eat some noodles we had purchased - again we were refused. 

The phone was never answered at reception and they seem to go out of their way to be unhelpful.

Breakfast - all I can say is avoid it if you can. One disinterested member of staff and a poor selection. I settled on cold dry toast and a hard boiled egg as the most palatable and least likely to cause another visit to the local hospital (which was only marginally more disgusting than this place; and that had people vomiting on the floor there!) 

Deserves Zero Stars

Very disappointed from our stay and we have only just arrived. This is a no smoking hotel! However, somebody is smoking in the room opposite with the door open and the whole corridor smells of smoke. To make matters worse football is on and they are shouting, it sounds like an asylum!

We mentioned this to the receptionist although I understand from her reaction that there is no concern at all. No customer service . 

Honeymoon stay

Stayed here three nights as part of a tour. Served as a central point to make day trips. I walked around the area but saw nothing spectacular. I thought I could walk to Ben Than Market but walking in this area is a challenge. I did take a walk on the main boulevard, Duong Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, You might need nerves of steel to walk around that area. I took out my camera to record motorbikes riding on the sidewalk. Apparently when there is too much traffic on the road they descend upon the sidewalk. Some even go in the wrong direction. One of my Vietnamese friends came to meet me but was on the other side of the street across from the hotel. There was a sea of constant traffic. It was non-stop. I told her I'm not crossing the street to come and get me. So she came and got me and held my arm and crossed me over. The traffic is intimidating. I know where I live if I crossed the street in similar traffic I would be killed or seriously maimed. But in Vietnam they actually go around you and allow you to cross. But a foreigner has to have the nerve to cross by himself. The good news is in that area there are several one-way streets which helps crossing the street as you won't have traffic coming from the opposite direction. But be careful. Drivers on scooters here are notorious for not obeying the laws and riding against traffic.

As for the hotel the room I stayed in was small. I technically had a roommate but he had reserved a room in another hotel long before we arrived. So I had the room to myself. He probably read reviews on Tripadvisor because the room barely got any space. I used one of the beds to put my luggage on. Imagine if he was there? There is one elevator. I used the stairs to walk down but then realized that the 1st floor was located above the lobby so those were extra steps. Then somehow the stairs I took ended up in a dead end so I had to cross over to the other side to continue walking down. I won't advise using the stairs unless you really need to or in the event of an emergency. The dining area is tiny, I think the architects who designed the building totally forgot to include a dining area. Then there appeared to be a compromise after it was built. Of course I'm joking. But try pulling a chair out of there trying to sit for breakfast while other hotel guests are there. The breakfast choices leave a lot to be desired. I believe they had condensed milk to sweeten the coffee. I wanted plain cream or milk since I'd been trying to avoid using sugar. Across the street on either side there are some cheap eateries. So you can always skip breakfast here since it seems more like a chore than a meal.
