Enjoyed our stay here (moreso after we moved rooms). The first room had a shower where the hot water would not stay on more than 2 seconds, a window that didn't close, and we found out in the morning the A/C unit leaked water all over the floor. However, staff was able to move us to a new room for our 2nd night with working water heater and A/C! The mattresses were great for side sleeping and I got a great night's sleep after a week of firm to wood-floor hard mattresses in Thailand, this was a gem of a place. I don't believe the breakfast included description on TA is accurate anymore-they did not have food available during our stay. Not a problem though, with the location being just 1 street over from the Backpacker walking street. This location was just far enough removed that we had peace and quiet for our time in the hotel. Prices for the hotel in person as a drop in were consistent with prices listed online.

Convenient location and soft bed!

We stay for 3days in here in this lovely small and family owned hotel. Staff is extremely helpful. We did had a slight problem with the AC and it was not making the room cool. We told them about this and when we got back to the hotel, it is already fixed. Breakfast is average with three options of pancake, vietnamese bread, and some cold cuts + vietnamese coffee. 

What I like about the hotel is the location is centrally located to everything. Room is clean but quite small.

Wonderful stay!

I stayed here for two weeks in their budget room which was perfectly fine for me.
Owned buy a lovely family run by the son and daughter and will help you in anyway possible.
Good comfortable bed which is hard to find in vietnam room serviced everyday if wished and cleaning lady doese an excellent job.Ruby on front desk is very friendly and will give you good information.
Location of this place is nice quiet clean lane with market and eat places virtually next door.
I intend to stay here again.

Wonderful Service

Central spot at the end of a shady alley. Makes for a perfect stay as it is clean, calm and comfortable. The staff is smiling and helpful and the breakfast are included and good! You have all the restaurant you could hope for within 10 minutes of walking and all the major sight of district one within an hour walk.

Quiet central oasis

This hotel is situated in an alley way which makes it to be a very quiet location. To find the place enter via the market or via a souvalaki shop. There are two entrances via the alley way. Was a quiet hotel and the receptionist speaks good English. Bed was comfortable, wifi was good. The shower took awhile for the hotwater to come on. Good location close to the bus depot so you can catch the local buses including the one to the airport.

Ticks all the boxes

The rooms are nice and clean, it's quiet at nicht so you can sleep without problems. Wifi is ok, breakfast with a few choices, the staff is extremely friendly and speaks good English, gave me a lot of good advice and helped me with all my bookings. They kept my luggage during my island trip. After check out the give you even the chance to have a shower in the afternoon.
I would stay here again if i come back another time. 

Very friendly staff at a nice hostel 

Our family of 5 (with 3 teenagers) only stayed here one night as it was booked the next night. Fantastic location in an alley off the main drag so quiet at night yet just steps away from markets, street food, and all the action.We stayed in 4 locations in Ho chi minh city and this was the best for" eating "choices! Breakfast at Khoi 2 had great iced coffee and their omeletes and baguette are a good choice. 
61 steps up to our room...we didnt mind but some people with a lot of luggage wouldnt like it.
Room was small, a quad(smallest we had in 1 month)....it had a window which didnt open and looked out onto a wall. Room had an odd smell.....apart from that it was a good stay for a night with helpful staff. We were given a great map which we used the whole time. Receptionist was helpful in ordering  our GRAB car to our next hotel.

Location,Location,Location!!!!

Khoi2 is situated in the middle of the backpacker's area of Ho Chi Minh. We stayed in a triple room with two people. Even for two this room was very small and uncomfortable. What bothered us the most was the unpleasant smell in the room and the fact that it was not very clean. Breakfast and hospitality were ok. It's a cheap room, but in comparison to other places we've stayed, it's not that good value.

Cheap, but not very pleasant

We stayed here 3 nights before leaving for Siem reap. Excellent location close to all necessary things, amazing choice of restaurants as well as super helpful staff who even told us where to get the best exchange rates for changing our left over vnd to usd for Cambodia. Clean cosy rooms, good wifi and air conditioning. Definitely recommend for a budget stay in Ho Chi Minh city! :) 

Lovely 

We stayed at Khoi 2 (Former Hello) for 2 nights, booked only in advance. The Staff was very friendly, explaining some nice Details offside the typical Backpacker Information. The rooms are quite, super Clean and came with a free bootle of water. The breakfast was served quickly and nothing to brag about. The Service was superb. We asked for directions to Can tho and when insecure about the bus tickets they even Made a Reservation for us. For free. After a Rain, we arrived wet and altough already checked out, got a fresh towel and a room to change. A nice start to Vietnam.
