This hotel is okay for a shorter period of time, it’s a bit hidden from the Main Street but not too hard to find. The hotel doesn’t have an elevator and the last floors have really narrow paths so a big suitcase is a bit of a challenge. The rooms in itself is clean but different bugs can come in. The air condition is turned off when you leave and they don’t always clean the room, but you can always request it. Not everybody in the hotel speaks English so this can be a challenge. But they are really helpful and nice.

Small narrow hotel

We thought we booked a stay at D5/10, we ended up booking Hong Giao in D3. It is a rather localised area. There is a school (not sure if it's nursery/kindergarten/primary school) so if you would be staying at the hotel during day time, be prepared to listen to kids' singing! The PICs do not really understand English, their English proficiency is appx 2.5/10.

Not recommended for heavy baggage (but the staff will help you carry if any). It's up to you if you would like to give a tip to the staff for his hard work.

There are eateries nearby within walking distance, where the locals eat. Turn right once you step out of Hong Giao,walk straight into a small alley and then you will reach an area with hawkers selling foods. 

Take your time to walk the streets and see which you would like to try. We had congee with chicken meat at one of the stalls after some surveys. It was delicious and cheap, but the plate of chicken meat is expensive (90.000vnd).

Local manicurists can be found at the area doing manicures by the road side, not sure how much it is.

One of the things that i like about this hotel: there is a patio for guests of the specific floor to chill, great for those who may need to use the laptop when you travel. There is also room service available, we headed straight to the recep to order our FnB, the staff would serve to you at the patio.

One of the downsides: The bathing area does not include a tray to put your bathing shampoos, etc. It's either you put them on the floor or put them on top of the toilet bowl.

Things to note:
The air-conditioner is rather chilly even though we adjusted to 28'C, maximum temperature. (not sure if all rooms are the same, ours was room 122)

Google Translate is very much recommended to communicate with hotel staff

Hotel gate closes early, if you're planning to come home late, just knock loudly to wake the staff and say thank you. =)
