My wife and I stayed at This hotel and were not very impressed as the room was really dirty and smelt. The bathroom was mouldy and the beds were stained.The hotel really needs some work and is not worth the money you pay. Please rather look somewhere else.

Not good value for money.

I arrived and my intuition told me to check out the room before checking-in. Thank goodness as it stank of cigar smoke and had burns and dirt marks ALL OVER THE CARPET, I was then showed a "superior" room, which stank of cigarette smoke this time. I am a smoker but I hate the smell of cold smoke in a hotel room.  Also it's next to a river but it stinks, constant noise from traffic and trash everywhere alongside the road :(.

Nice place to stay for a couple of nights. Well worth the 40 minute drive from the airport as you get to take in some of the city. Small rooms, but nothing bigger needed if you are out exploring and have a short stay.

We didn’t expect Ngoc Tung Hotel to be so presentable and charming for the price we paid. It’s in district 7, away from district 1 and crowds. Bus stops to district 1 and the newly developed shopping centres are right outside the hotel. Lots of breakfast and dinner places nearby. The staff are so helpful and friendly. I needed my dress to be ironed and it’s done beautifully within 10 min 😊


Friendly, presentable  and neat 

This place is located in district 7, it's 30min drive to district 1. Was a bit impractical. It was cheap! Very friendly staff!

However, the rooms are small and look dirty. The rug is stained, the air condition leaks which cause mold. The shower door was broken so all the water flooded the floor. It also felt like u could break the shower floor. It was also cockroaches in the room. 

Cheap and simple 

I recommend this hotel, if you have the same needs for your hotel. "Best price, with enough space and function, even not so clean and necessary for taxi to move".
1) Hotel charge:Much lower main place in District 1. Room size is enough. Minimum functions are available, shower/ bathtub with warm water, small refrigerator, boiling water electric bottle.
2) Location: Located District 7 next to District 1. So it is a little bit far from main sightseeing place. But the charge of taxi is very cheap. You can go main places within $5. Small convenient store "Viet Mart" is within 10 minutes walk, can buy beer and snack. Local restaurants are also near, but there is a few visitors. You need to communicate by body language, not in English. I have no scared case, it must be safe area. Lotte Mart, shopping center is 10 min taxi, restaurants, shops, supermarket. I always buy cheap mango and fruits, local snacks for souvenir. 
3) Cleanness: It is not well cleaned up. You may see an ant. Towel is not white, but washed new towel everyday. 
4) Staff: Very friendly. Front lady soon prepare taxi, only for 5-10 minutes waiting time.
5) Equipment: Restaurant on grand floor can serve simple local dishes. 
If you don't care "Not white towel", "Not perfect cleaned up room", and can enjoy local atmosphere, I recommend this hotel. Have a nice trip, please.

After the good stay last year we came back and very disappointed with the service this time. Though we have booked in the suite (their best room) but Wifi wasn't working at all for that room and the room next door when we decided to move. It is okay for us but then at 4AM, some drunk girl was screaming and yelling "anh ơiii" for an hour downstairs and the whole place up. Not just that, she decided to knock on our door constantly and kept yelling "anh ơi" even though we opened the door and told her that she got the wrong door. We can't seem to figure out what is the reason and try to go back to sleep. Next morning when we asked, the hotel staff only responded to our questions simply as "oh she was drunk" without any apology or so. Of course it is not the hotel's fault but it is a very basic thing to do in the services industry and they don't even seem to know???
