I liked this hotel a lot because it was so close to everything I wanted. A fantastic restaurant underneath that I was a regular at. The people that work here are so wonderfully helpful ave ever so friendly. I really enjoyed staying here and will now be my hotel of choice while I’m in the area. Food surround the hotel is great and well priced for breakfast lunch and dinner. The Ben Thanh market is about a 10 minute or less walk away. It’s down a side alley  so away from the loud traffic noise. 
The beds and pillows were comfortable and the shower hot. The room was large and windows could open. 
The room is well used and a little tired but the price is the best ever. The best around for that type of hotel room. 
No breakfast at the hotel but straight out the door is much to choose from for around 80,000 dong. 
I’ll be back .. that’s a promise. 

Fantastic 

I have been a regular here over the years and it's always good, in fact, I am treated like family. So central, everything is at your door step, including Sandos Cafe down stairs. 
Rooms are good for US$19 for smaller room with queen bed. Great flat screen tv with cable tv, lift, wifi, everything you need for a cheap , safe room. Cleaned daily too, with great friendly staff. 

My D1 hotel of choice

Paid for a room with a view, opened the curtains and was looking at an interior shaft. The room smelled musty. Opened the soap packets to take a shower and the bars crumbled in my hand. Ancient. The water seemed to have 2 settings: scalding hot and ice cold. The Wi-Fi was dead in the water. Asked the guy to come up and help and he brought along an iPad and started playing YouTube videos. Looked at me as if to say "must be your phone." Except I know that my phone works fine. Somehow I suspect he was playing the videos on his local machine but I can't prove that. There's no way he could be streaming YouTube while I couldn't even get a simple google screen. Tried to work with the situation but wound up moving to another hotel after 2 nights.

Poor choice

I had a fun time here. Very friendly staff like Snow and Quyen. They are very helpful and i feel like i was talking to a friend the just to a stranger. Right downstairs is a restaurant great place to for a drink and some good food. Great server Lieu is very friendly and always had a big smile and the cook Cam she positive and always greet you to make you feel like home. And she can cook good food too.

Fun time

I have just spent 2 stints in the Yen Trang again, 5 nights and then another 9 nights. US$19 a night for a clean safe room that has wifi, air con, computer in reception in the middle of all the action. Have stayed many times over the years and although I have also stayed at others, comparing the value, this place wins.
You can grab a snack or drink down stairs at Sandos and everything else is at your finger tips.
