The address seemed easy but the tricky point here was when you got into the 95 alley it was hard to find out the address 95/2bis :D It was because the staff turned off the light so soon! The dorm room was decent with the cheap price but the location is closer to the bus stop to get to nearby Mekong cities.

Cheap hotel but a bit tricky to find

Basically, you get what you paid for. Rooms were clean, wish I could say the same for one of my roommates, who smelled terrible. Towel is provided. Staff is friendly but doesn’t speak much English so communication was a bit difficult. At least they smiled a lot. Bathroom is a bit tiny and cramped, but clean. AC was cold so it was perfect especially after touring on a hot day.

Overall, it was an OK experience.

Cheap but OK

I would give 5 stars for La Hostel Saigon. Just accidently booked 1 night stay here because it was too late to catch a taxi to come back to my friend's house in other district. Staffs are very friendly and helpful, the hostel is a little bit hard to find at first so I have to call them to get direction. I only have to pay around $12 to get a clean, big room with comfortable bed and also a balcony. I've been in HCMC so manytime and La Hostel Saigon is one of the best here. Will be back next time.

Walkable location

I was staying in la hostel saigon with another friend for 3 nights. Friendly and helpful staffs. The room is clean and comfortable. 

This hostel is located in the 2nd alley of the main road hence less buzzing noise from the motorbikes and cars. The hostel is located in district 1 hence, the tourist spots and foods are easy accessible. 

Comfortable and clean hostel

We had a trip to Saigon last June 28 (together with my friends) and we all decided to pick this hostel as our accomodation. 

Awesome receptionists. They provided personalised service and went beyond by helping us on our first day with our itinerary, provided a map and walked us through our way.
The establishment itself is not too fancy but safe enough to stay at, they would hand you 2 keys, one for the room and the other is for the alley gate as they closr the gate at 9 or 10pm (i forgot)
The room is also not to fancy, you’ll have a decent bed, pillow and blanket, bath towels will also be provided. No complimentary water and no free toiletries though. 
No lift, we stayed 3 levels up from the ground floor and we had no choice but to tale the stairs (just imagine how difficult it has been for us to carry our luggages that high floor). Was really tough.
The airconditioning unit was playing up a bit, we find it hard to actually set its temp, it takes awhile to cool the place. Bathroom/comfort room is clean, you get a cold/warm shower.. but the floor tiles are too slippery to be bathroom tiles, you get a good sink, their toilet bowl wasn’t stable (it was broken), and the exhaust doesn’t seem to be working as it actually gets hot in the bathroom. 
Overall it was nice enough for its price.

A quick trip to Saigon

The Hostel is very Central but Not directly in the Party area which was very nice. The room was Clean but we only got one small shabby blanket for two persons in the Double bed room. The bathroom seemed to be clean but IT was smelling very badly. The Service Staff was very friendly and helpful. For the price it was ok  to Stay here but nothing Special.

Ok but nothing special

This dorm hostel is located in District 1 which makes it very easy to discover all the sightseeings (inside the district 1 and district 3) without needing taxis or any kind of transport.
we walked a lot as the best way to discover is to walk.

hostel is very basic and the people who runs it very friendly, they will help you with everything you need.

we stayed there 2 nights and was perfect for what we needed.
We always book a dorm when discovering any city as we dont spent much time in the room anyway.

dont worry about your belongings as you get a locker for free.

all around its a good hostel but very tricky to find as it is located in an alley a cross the KFC.

we recommend stayin there when visiting Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) 

Good location

We spent two nights here while in Saigon. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We reserved a room with 3 single beds and a private shower that was very clean. The location was also great. We were a short walk away from Walking Street which was filled with bars and clubs and a quick cab drive away from all the major attractions. The location was also easy to find. Only draw back was that it was located down a short alley and I'm terrified of night critters. When it was time to depart the front service staff went above and beyond to make sure we have a taxi ready for us at 2:30am. Excellent customer service!

Friendly Staff and Great Location

I moved out of an apartment in Saigon and stayed here for almost a month while i finished my job. Great hostel, staff is so friendly and its location couldn't be better. Although it is down a Hem (alley) making it a little difficult to find a first, it is close to everything. Bui Vien is a block away if you want to see Saigon in its finest (sarcasm), and most of the major attractions are within walking distance. The location also keeps it nice and quiet where you can get away from the noise of the city. 

The rooftop terrace is a great place to eat/relax and the common room is nice enough. If you stay here you are also one street down from two of the best streets to get the best local vietnamese food (co giang, and co bac). Also try the banh mi store right on the corner, with one of the best vegetarian banh mi's in town. In all great place to stay 1,2,5,or 30 nights. 

Tip- its cheaper if you book online

Great Hostel, Great Location

When I booked my double room I requested a room on a lower floor due to the fact I had a lot of luggage and I had noted they had no lift. When I arrived I was happy to discover I was on the first floor. The staff were so friendly and sent me a text when my room was ready for check in as I arrived early in the morning before check in time. And when we left for the airport at 2am the staff helped us sort our taxi out. The room we had was perfect, a double room with ensuite. The bed was so comfortable too. We had a fridge which I thought was an added bonus. We were also in such a good location. a 5 minute walk to all the bars and restaurants and around a 10 minute walk to Ben Thanh market so such a good spot to access everything the city has to offer. The staff are happy to help arrange grab or uber taxis for you if you dont wish to walk and then at least you have a set fare to get somewhere. Overall I will defintely stay here again should I return to HCMC and I highly recommend for a budget place to stay that is comfortable and safe.
