Food,breakfast was nice and tasty. Particular the staff is great , very helpful and very friendly not seen anything like this in  of hotels these days .Rooms were also neat and tidy .Overall it was a good experience

Great and Fantastic Stay

I have in the past stayed at this hotel many times and enjoyed my stay.   The food,breakfast was very done and tasty.  The staff are great , very helpful and friendly.  I would have stayed this trip as well, but I understand that it s now a hostel.  Great location to the old town

Stayed many times

Went to check in at our original hotel and they had cancelled out booking. Went online and found Hoi An Lilac Hotel.  We explained what had happened and were given a lovely room. It had 2 giant beds and a small balcony. The shower was over the spa bath which was difficult for us to get into. There was no kettle. I'm sure if we had asked they would have given us one as the service we received was excellent.  Breakfast is outside next to the pool which was lovely. Decent selection of food on the menu. 

We did want to stay on the island at Minh Ah and the receptionist told us about their sister hotel Golden River Hotel on the island. They organised free transport to the new hotel. Couldn't fault the staff who went out of their way to help us.

Great Service

Stayed here for what we thought would be a 3 night which turned into a 5 night stay due to both me and partner getting struck down with a vomitting bug. My girlfriend's was particularly bad so we had to call an emergency doctor. The lady at the reception couldn't have been more professional and helpful. She took control of the situation and called us a very good English speaking doctor. While we waited she even came in to see how she was an she kept ringing the doctor to see when he was coming. Obviously to extend our stay which the hotel arranged with the minimum of fuss. It was quite a scary time but the professional caring nature of the hotel staff made it all the more bearable. Can't thank them enough. 

Fantastic staff and comfy bed

I've booked a room with a window and view with a balcony. Upon arrival we were informed that we can only check in after 3. We arrived at the hotel and signed in. We were then advised that no breakfast would be served and that we should check out at 9:00am. After much discussion we could at least stay still 10:30. Given our room key and then headed to our room. What a shock. The room was like a broom closet with no windows at all. Went downstairs to discuss the room issue as it's not what I've booked. The receptionist told us sorry but she can't help us as the hotel is fully booked. I went onto the Internet and showed her that there are rooms available and she said no. Again after much discussion we decided to rather look for another hotel. She didn't want to refund me the money paid and I will have to cancel my booking. I cancelled my booking and finally got my money back but was charged a cancellation fee on my card. If you like surprises be my guest and book this hotel but I would strongly recommend you not to. 

Worst experience 

We stayed here for two nights after escaping our previous hotel. We came in, tested the room for hot water and stayed. The receptionistes were very Nice to us, there was hot water, but thats about it.

The blankets used were from Vietnam airlines. (The ones you get in the plane for free). And I had to use three to cover my whole body. The bath slippers they provided were from the Sheraton hotel (if I spelled that correctly), except they were used (and you could see by the black stains on them). Also, the light switches were on a cabinet, Also from another hotel.

Breakfast was included, but I wouldnt call it Breakfast. We ordered muesli with yoghurt and fruit. You get about 10 grams of muesli, a Tiny, Tiny packet of yoghurt, and a bowl of not so fresh fruit. How do you expect a 6 foot Guy to live off that? Also, we ordered ginger tea (which luckily was fresh), but god forbid you order another One. Ok I dont mind paying for another tea, but they were Being so difficult. And once we finished the tea, they were constantly asking you to pay the tea now. 

Luckily the receptionistes were Nice to us.
