Nice place to relax if you don't mind ants and gekkos in your room. Could do with some improvements, the bath was pretty old. The food was good but ridiculously overpriced, good service and the free bike rental was very useful to explore the surroundings. Nice pool. 

Okay but way overpriced for what it is

Excellent place to rest and to enjoy the nature of the Mekong region. Staff is very friendly and ready to help and please. In addition the food was awesome.
Furthermore you can also enjoy a nice little swimming pool.

Lovely place

We went to Saigon and Gite Nam Hien for a little break from Hong Kong.

The Gite location is gorgeous we loved getting lost cycling in the surrounding country side with all these fruit trees, small rivers, chickens and duck walking freely, just watching simple life in Vietnam. 
No one spoke english but we managed to find places for lunch and ate well! (easy in Vietnam) and spent time cycling or relaxing by the pool watching the garden, all this green all these flowers!
The owner and the young lady who took care of us are very kind and eager to please and my best memory will be their cuisine, we tried 8 differents items from their menu and it was all so well executed, a real pleasure having dinner there. 
I love this place for it's authenticity, the rooms are simple, nice and clean, the food delicious, a nice place to just relax (bring your favourite book)

Authentic place surrounded by nature

Hubby and I had been sick with a virus and desperately needed to get out of Ho Chi Minh City for a few days. My husband found this place. We even checked their website which was very well done. We booked through booking.com and just went by Grab car from HCM, cost us about 1.200.000 vnd. Of course you can tavel cheaper, but we couldn't be bothered with the tourist buses and hassles of getting there. You have to cross the river by ferry to get to Cho Lach district of Ben Tre. This homestay is a short distance from the Cho Lach bus station. But being in the countryside, I don't think there were many taxi's or xe om's that could take you into the homestay.

The homestay itself is tucked away down an alley that only fits scooters. So our driver dropped us off as far in as possible and we walked about 500m to get to the homestay. We found out later, that had we called the homestay, they would have come out to get us. 

We were greeted by Trinh, the owner (Nam Hien)'s daughter in law. She pretty much looked after us the 2 nights we were there. Breakfast was included in the room charge. They made their own pinapple and fruit jams, yum, and fresh pineapple juice too. 

We ate dinner there at there 'restaurant' every night. We highly recommend the Banh Xeo- savoury pancakes. You just have to let her know in advance of about an hour what you want to eat so she prepares it fresh. 

There is really not much around by way of eateries/ restaurants. So this place is really only good for relaxing and seeing how the locals live. There are bicycles you can borrow to ride around the country side and visit the rambutan orchards.

The rooms at the homestay were small, simple and very clean. They even had mosquito nets, but we were very surprised at how little problems we had with mosquitos. We didnt even need to use it when we went to bed. 

They have a lovely pool and umbrellas and sunbeds for you to relax on. Like an resort oasis in the countryside, we really enjoyed staying here.

Quiet getaway

We stayed here for only one night unfortunately, on a trip through the Delta. We arrived after dark, very lucky to have caught the last ferry, so didn't get to see the grounds until the next morning. The room was a delightful surprise after a long day on the back of a motorbike, and the amenities great. A mosquito net covers the bed  (which is comfy). I was invited to help make spring rolls for our dinner, which I hadn't done before so enjoyed! Dinner was delicious, as was breakfast of pancakes, baguette (banh mi, home made jams, and fresh fruit. The hostess is very friendly and welcoming. We had the benefit of our friends being able to translate for us, as she doesn't speak English, but I don't think that's much of a barrier anyway. 

The Friendliness of the Mekong

Three of us stayed here overnight for a peaceful visit to the countryside. We enjoyed riding bicycles as a way to explore the area and take in the beauty. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The whole grounds are beautiful. The wifi is strong. The food is lovingly prepared, fresh, and wonderfully delicious. Best of all, the woman who runs this home stay is simply lovely, warm, gentle, and welcoming. We all wished we could have taken her with us on the rest of our trip.

Tranquil beauty and warm hospitality in the countryside

We stayed here one night with our guide and 4 children during a trip in the mekong. This place is in a middle of coconut fields, and seem popular with French people as there was other French travelers during our stay.
The old house were the rooms are is absolutely stunning - nice garden, old house with impressive wooden furniture, rooms by a pond. Our room had a private roof terrace overlooking the forest - what a sunset! 

Evening activity was preparing and cooking vietnamese pancakes with the owners - absolutely delicious.

Amazing place in the Mekong

Excellent stay! The place is humble but has the comfort you can find in 3 (even 4!) start hotels. Location is SO quite, and the attention from the ladies taking care of it is outstanding. Generosity at its best, they give you everything they have without a doubt. Wonderful people, wonderful experience. Only "hiccup" is you cannot get there by car, and need to walk for about 600m
