The owner has serious integrity issue. We rented a bike to go to the attractions. The owner Mr Duc gave us a very old bike. We wanted the newer ones but he said it is well serviced and just give him a call if there is any issue with the bike and he will come to switch it. The bike's rear tyre burst in 30 min and we were stuck on half way on the road. When we called him to ask what to do, he said he doesn't care and he is not coming to switch the bike or pick us up; also, we must replace it at our own cost. We had to push the bike to gas station, which is very far, to replace the tyre. The guy who checked the tyre said it was too old and badly damaged to repair; so we had to replace it. After that, we continued our journey trying to catch up with our schedule to visit the attractions, but the bike's engine broke down and we were stuck. We called him many times but no one picked up.. we were stuck on the road again in the middle of no where, with no nearby gas station or repair shop. After desperately trying kick start the bike for 15 min, the bike finally started and we managed to go back. But we missed our boat tour at Ninh Binh, which was very sad.

We arrived here without booking a room on booking but we saw the price a d condition but at the reception they sold us the room at the same price saying for this price breakfast is not included. I showed him than on booking it was included so I will book on line! He finally said OK then...
Otherwise room smells good and look clean

One night

This place is cheap and has really no special features at all. By local standards it's okay but nothing to be remembered.

Best part of this hotel is the restaurant on the other side of the street where food is plenty and cheap and staff really smiling !

Cheap and nothing special

The doorm rooms were only three beds in a room which we liked, for 3 usd per night

Their washing service is 30 vnd per kilo which is relatively high

No breakfast service 

The room was simple, ac and working fan, the toilet leaked when u flushed (nothing too bad) and the shower worked with low water pressure.

They did push us to book a night bus with them, and when we tried a different hostel  they told us it was full, we found out that the owners are family and thats why they wouldnt sell to us.

You get what you expect from 3 usd.

Typical hostel

The hotel is simple, nothing special, but quite clean and ok for the price which is  low (8usd for double room). The owner is nice and didn't charge us for the half-night of our arrival (we arrived late). We bought our bus ticket to Sapa from the hotel and the information given to us was bad. We were meant to arrive at Sapa at 5am the next morning but we actually stopped 30km away from Sapa at 1am and were asked to sleep in the non-moving bus (and without any AC) until 5am. The hotel didn't mention this although it seems to be the usual plan to go to Sapa. We finally arrived at 7am in Sapa instead of the 5am announced by the hotel and after a horrible night without sleeping.
