In a place that is full of high end resorts, Mia Homestay is a refreshing exception and is a great place to stay for a more authentic feel.
We stayed for 3 nights and were very happy with the place, the price and the location. Mia and her dog Mi were both delightful. Mia was open and friendly but not intrusive; if you want help she gives it. She was kind enough to reconfirm our boat trip for us and organised us a taxi to take us to the departure point.

Mia Homestay is close to the beach and is close to plenty of bars and restaurants. In fact there are a couple of good ones right on her doorstep.

The room itself was basic but spotlessly clean and reasonably spacious. The bed was very comfy.

Everything that used electricity to function worked when the electricity worked, which was sometimes. It was never off for long periods though. This is an Ong Lang problem, not a problem unique to Mia Homestay. And though it was far beyond her control, Mia was very apologetic about the power cuts.

When the electricity was functioning, the fan, the A/C, the wifi and the hot water all worked well. In fact the wifi worked better here than in the last five star resort I stayed at in Spain.

I wouldn't hesitate to return to this place and highly recommend it.

Unbelievable value for money

Despite of the far-off town center, the homestay locates in nice beach  area Ong Lang which half way to Vung Bau. In the way to homestay from main road, you can find and Atm machine which so much helpful later on.
the bed for (varied from single to double) are very clean. Shower gel and shampoo are provided. even the bathroom was a bit smelly in my stay.
Ms Hanh the most was super friendly and helpful helping to book transportation to airport. Also very flexible in amending booking. Would love to stay with her again

good service for the cheap price

The homestay is simple and clean. Location is close to the very beautiful (and empty) Ong Lang beach. Restaurants in the immediate area are very good and cheap (for a tourist). There's also a small bar nearby for a bit of late night socializing. Mia is very helpful with whatever plans you have. I was having trouble booking a flight and she helped me sign up for the flight and even pay for it on her card (with me reimbursing her of course). The only downside is it is a bit of a drive to the main town/night market. I also did not compare rates to nearby homestays.

Quieter homestay

Nice homestay with a very nice, helpful and hardworking owner! Rooms are clean and spacious, and include a hot shower. It's close to the beach and there are also nice restaurants close-by (try sandwiches at Sakura!).
The only downsides I can think of is that it's somewhat more expensive than other hostels and that the wifi can drop-out regularly. This isn't Mia's fault, however, she's always very busy trying to make it work again! 
Oh, also: despite Mia killing about 100 of them every day, there are a lot of mosquitos here. Don't forget your mosquito net and insect repellent! 

Clean, close to the beach & wonderful owner

We had such a great time on the island. Its just best value option we found. Thanks to Mia our stay was perfect! She helped us get around the island, did our laundry, rented bikes for us, booked a tour to Cambodia, etc. 
Room was cleaned on a daily basis. Internet connection is also very good.
If your are coming to this island do not search for other accommodation, Mia's place is the perfect choice!
