We are in love with this place. 

This is a one off perfect experience in Vietnam. 
We booked 2 days at rocks beach & I couldn’t be any happier. We knew that we were coming to an over water bungalow which is a hide-away and to make the most of it.

I have no complaints. If you know you are coming to a water bungalow, you are getting so much more. It’s the experience and important to know this versus expecting luxury. 

Water bungalows for two. Air con & ceiling fan more than perfect. Bathroom with hot shower, sink and large size. All very nice. We keep air con on high to avoid insects which is standard anywhere you go in these bungalows. Nice seating area & places to sit outside bungalow. Cold fridge with free soft drinks, really nice touch. We didn’t swim in the water above the bungalow as the official swimming pools were perfect. We saw people swim in the
Bungalow water but it’s up to you. It’s not the main thing so it’s up to you if you feel the water in the swimming pool is far cleaner. 

Pools- I was shocked at how big the pools are. 
They are really good. Clean and beautiful. Plenty places to lounge on sun beds. 

Drinks and bar - perfect selection. Plenty cocktails, drinks and open great hours.

Dinner - the menu was perfect for us. Pastas, pizzas, meat, stir fry noddles. Large fish menu & fine for vegetarian. We came here to relax, enjoy the life & enjoy a one off place. Tip- you can dine outside with the waves behind you & for special moments, they had a single 2 person table on the rocks on your own. Open and close times very good. 

Breakfast- fresh fruits, eggs, breads, toasts, and eastern foods. Breakfast served in great location.

Location-20 mins taxi transfer from airport. We came to relax and chill so it’s fine. 
Reception are so helpful. Well done. Helped us lots. 

We cannot thank the hosts enough. 6 stars. Welcomed us so much. Also helped us to find beautiful places outside & ordered taxis.

Beautiful over water bungalow

A tranquil getaway in a lovely quiet location. The staff, especially JM were incredibly accommodating and couldn’t do enough for us. Our bungalow was perfect and we enjoyed the early morning sunrises. Breakfast was plentiful with a big selection. The evening bar and food available to order was lovely. The hotel arranged scooter hire direct which was helpful. Airport pick up and drop off was really useful. 

The wind brings trash to the shore and whips up the sea bed in January so the water isn’t as clear as it could be. Shame we are polluting our oceans. As an island recovering from Covid, be patient and understanding. 

Thank you again to the wonderful team at the Rocks who work so hard to make the place enjoyable.

Fantastic experience from the minute we walked in.
All the staff go above and beyond to make your stay memorable 
We stayed in cabin over the sea, noisy but what an experience listening to wind and waves all day and night.
Yes the water is murky but on a calm day you can see the bottom.

We noticed that there were only couple western vegetarian meals on the menu, ones that I wouldn’t eat anywhere pizza and pasta so we hired a bike from reception very easy, and went to a restaurant up the road but at breakfast the restaurant staff gave me a feast, vegetarian bau buns, fresh veg rolls and tofu they were so amazing to go above and beyond
Highly recommend this resort for chill and relaxation it’s perfect

Wonderful stay

I was drawn by the stunning beach images online. Only to be deeply disappointed by the reality. The beach in the hotel is extremely extremely polluted. Contrary to the beautiful, pristine, images showcased on their website, the actual beach is littered with trash and debris, making it uninviting for swimming or lounging.

The hotel also seems to have significant issues with insects, particularly mosquitoes and some strange flies. Despite using repellents, I found myself constantly bother by these pests in my room

The discrepancy between the online portrayal and the actual condition of the hotel beach and surroundings is far from reality. Be ware of their scams

Dont know what to say because it ruined our trip

Arrived from another resort in Phu Quoc Ocean Bay to Rock Beach our Beach Bungalows on the ocean was everything we has been seen and read about  The staffs from front to all over resort are kinds and happy to assist us
We arevery happy here and will be back

Vietnam trip

Delapidated rip off, karaoke blaring from adjacent pier, no access to the sea from villa, filthy water, dirty bathrooms, no management on site, we were refused a refund when we asked to leave immediately, hot tub and netting broken, no kayak as promised, staff useless, ruined our holiday. Avoid, hasn't had a đông spent on it in years, shamelessly sweating a run down asset, shameful.

Glorified slum

The water is rather brittle/brown, which reduces the experience a bit. We booked a water bungalow but we didn't really have any of it. The food around the hotel is okay. You need a scooter anyway, the nearest good beaches are a little south and connected by 20-25 minutes drive.

Sweet plant, no nice bath water...

Rocks Boutique Hotel has been an amazing quiet little haven for relaxation! They arranged a free airport transfer for us and also accommodated an early check in. 
The service is very good but not many employees speak good English. Most people speak no English at all, be prepared to have your Google translate app handy in order to communicate. 
Breakfast is very good with lots of variety. It closes a bit early though, it would be nice if it ended at 11am. 
Also, with how secluded the resort is it would be nice if they provided complimentary unlimited water or at least had an option to buy a bigger container instead of having to pay for each little bottle of water. It’s about a 7min scooter ride from a local convenience store/fruit stand/restaurant so we grabbed water that way but it is a bit of an inconvenience.
The water is swimable, but quite murky and dirty. You cannot dive off your bungalow deck into the water because it’s only about a metre deep. This is a bit disappointing but even with suboptimal water it still provides a lovely surrounding environment with the sound of the waves.

Secluded stay

This place is truly amazing. We spent 4 nights at Rocks Beach and we couldn't be more satisfied. The place is clean, cozy and intimate. The staff and owners are really friendly and helpful. We traveled with an infant which can't be challenging at times, but at Rocks Beach we got so much help. 

If you don't plan to stay at Rocks Beach, at least stop by of dinner. The food is delicious.

Cozy boutique resort

Me and my girlfriend booked to stay at the Rocks Beach Boutique Bungalows for 2 nights out of our 5 night stay on Phu Quoc island. We honestly wish we had decided to stay there longer! As soon a we arrived we were greeted by Loan who showed us to our rooms. Instantly there were personal touches like how our names were written onto a chalkboard in the room welcoming us. A candle had been lit inside the room to make it feel cosy. The room was large with an en-suite, it had a rustic feel but it didn’t bother us. The bed was super comfy, a safe was in the room with adequate space for luggage and towels for both showering and the pool. The air con worked perfectly which made the room a cool temp when coming in from the hot outdoors. 

There are 4 bungalows at the resort, we were amazed to find out we were the only guests staying in our period so it was a real personal stay! The pool is just outside the bungalows, good size for the amount of people who would be staying. There are hammocks, deck chairs and 2 swings hanging from a tree looking out to sea, (perfect location for sun rise). 

The menu had a good variety of choice including both Vietnamese and western foods. We particularly loved the spring rolls and orange cheese cake! There is a table setup by the beach which is super romantic with candles around it..so nice! The breakfast menu was good too, made to order rather than buffet. Complimentary fruit plate was given for breakfast too, this had the best mango I have ever tasted!! 

All in all we would not hesitate to come back to this resort, if you are thinking about going definitely give it a go! We can’t wait to come back! Thank you Loan and Peter!
