After two weeks travelling around Vietnam, we couldnt be happier to find a clean, spacious and confortable room. The room is exactly the same you can see in the pictures. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They offer a lot of services (laundry, motorbike rent, free bicycle) and tasty and cheap meals that you can enjoy in a beautiful garden. I strongly recommend this hotel if you want to avoid Resort's prices.

Relaxed and peaceful stay

Unlike some previous reviewers, I've just enjoyed an excellent stay with a particularly warm welcome. 
The accommodation was clean, well kept. The staff all courteous and helpful. Thao provides a great welcome and speaks very good English. The gardens were beautifully maintained.
For those on a tight budget seeking outstanding value near one of Phu Quoc's best beaches look no further (3.8km to Lina Restaurant,Ong Lang Beach).
Set 1 km inland and on the D45 main road, the hotel is 5km from the main town. Whilst it  has a few small shops within walking distance, I would recommend that guests will probably want to ride about the area during their stay. Scooters are available at the hotel for rent. It provides free of charge bicycles too, though these were in poor condition.
There's a small menu available at reasonable prices, though Ong Lang village 2 to 3km away provides far better choices. As a small, budget hotel, the reception isn't staffed 24 hours.
When I checked in, I was told my room was double booked. They provided a suitable alternative for the first few nights of a ten night stay. This was at a neighbouring guest house and was effectively an upgrade which I happily accepted.
Having stayed in many hotels around the world, I can say that I have rarely been so sad to check out. Outstanding welcome and value for money and a desire to please make it stand out!

Sad to leave

The value for money was ok and the garden was nice.
It is rather a hostel, than a hotel, be prepared for that.
No window or fan in the bathroom, which means the water on the floor after shower never dries and it smells like mould. Very low standard.
We were trying to contact the reception before our arrival to organize airport shuttle - no response to two of our e-mails, we got an e-mail saying we should take a taxi from the airport a week later when we were already staying at the hotel.
WiFi is very unstable.
We had ants in the room on multiple occasions.
The air in the room is not great - the fan is not enough to make it at least a bit fresh and you can't keep a window opened because there are no mosquito nets on. 
Only three meals for breakfast - fried eggs, omelette or noodles. It was good but when you're staying for longer, it gets very repetitive.
Nice Ong Lang beach is quite close - you can get there by bike or motorbike.

We were expecting more, the info and photos online are inaccurate

We made an online reservation for 3 nights in a private room. When we came there, they gave away our room, because other people wanted to extend. The hotel was fully booked and we had no place to stay. Horrible management. 1 star is still too much

Horrible 

Located very far from city center with no restaurants and bars around, bad service, cold water (when any at all), dont have enough rooms with A/C very hot rooms, 20 families and touristcame after booking no rooms available for them, we just waited to finish our stay (no where to move to - all overbooked)

Bad hotel

Lovely holiday.  Comfortable,  clean, friendly and very affordable.  Quiet location and beautiful gardens. A little out of town but no problem with a scooter.  Ong Lang is just up the road and is the nicest beach in Phu Quoc!
