A Seaton Dream

A Seaton Dream located on a well cared for street in Old Cabbagetown contributed to a very enjoyable four nights in Toronto. Our host, Jamie, proved to be very knowlegeable and helpful regarding the city and the neighbourhood. Jamie is a very talented cook , so each morning we were greeted with a tasty breakfast creation presented in a lovely dining room within the ambience of the creatively restored main floor living space. It was a highlight to have Jamie sit with us and contribute to the conversation. We stayed in the Retreat Room, a quiet, comfy, very functional super clean space within the home. 

A Bed and Breakfast with genuine warmth and sparkle

By far the best B&B we have ever encountered. Jamie and Alan were so personable and gracious in welcoming us into their home, neighborhood and city .  They even provided curbside service!  The neighborhood was safe and felt like home. The healthy and tasty breakfast meals were tailored to our dietary needs and much appreciated! The home was immaculate and the beds were a sleeper's dream!  We won't hesitate to recommend A Seaton Dream to others.  It was truly a dream stay that we won't soon forget!



An Amazing Bed and Breakfast Experience in Toronto

Jamie and Alan are wonderful hosts, super friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Our room was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed including a cozy balcony. The breakfasts were delish and the coffee was flowing! We have dietary restrictions that Jamie was careful to accommodate. We felt safe and sound at the Seaton and highly recommend!

Loved our stay!

This B&B is the best one we hv ever stayed at . Jamie was the perfect host, very friendly and helpful , room was very clean , and comfortable, great breakfast , Jamie I will miss your poached eggs , and your company, Jamie was very helpful with information getting around this beautiful city, everything was in walking distance, Jamie told us the best places to go , and how to get there, the street that the B&B is on is quite with trees,  perfect. wonderful experience staying at A Seaton Dream B&B  I would definitely recommend this lovely B&B if I go bk to this city I wd definitely book with Jamie thank you Jamie for making our stay wonderful , real and joy

Great place to stay

Walking distance to the theatre and downtown, a clean and comfortable room, a delicious breakfast, a friendly and helpful host, all add up to a five star review.
Other reviews are positive as well but mention confronting people living on the street. Jamie recommended walking west on Shuter Street rather than on Dundas which made the walk enjoyable. We did not have any issues.
If we come to Toronto again for theatre, we would book with Jamie.

Ideal B&B

Fantastic hosts who went above and beyond to make us welcome. They had great local knowledge on where to eat and things to do in Toronto. The home cooked breakfast was excellent and the room was lovely. We would definitely go back!

We had the honour of staying at A Seaton Dream bed and breakfast recently.

It was late Setember and the weather was just perfect; not hot nor cold.

A Seaton Dream was dream like. The host Jamie was most welcoming and kind. He is also a great cook and the breakfast is 10/10. 

Our room was large and had a well appointed ensuite. Extremely comfortable bed with a new mattress. 

Everything you could possibly ask for actually. Great shower which is easy to manage (they are not all!!!), good lighting for make up and mood lighting for cuddling. All sparkling and clean. 

The road it is located on is tree lined and quite beautiful. (Photo attached of the street and from the front verandah.) 

There is a large Metro supermarket food store 9 minutes walk away, where , if you are on a budget, you can buy hot food ready to go.

There is also a fabulous coffeeshop around the corner on Gerard street. Its called " Its Jenny" , the (organic)  coffee is great and if you arrive around 9.30 the home made fruit muffins are sitting in their baking tray straight out of the oven. Jenny also serves delicious home made soups among a lot of other menu options. Recommend! 

Yonge Street downtown Toronto is walkable and we did it the first day we were at A Seaton  Dream. It took about 20 mins each way. 
However we have also taken the "Street Car" (which is a tram) from Carlton Street. A $6 travel pass can be purchased from the Superdrug Store around the corner in Parliament St.

Bits of this area isnt pretty.  However we are in our 70s and didnt have any issues walking around the district.

A Seaton Dream is much better than a Hotel.  

Everything Perfect!

This lovely B&B is in an excellent location in downtown Toronto. I have never had hosts who are more caring and helpful. They made us really feel at home. Come and stay. You will see what I mean. Definitely order the breakfast. They are delicious and beautifully prepared.

Definitely a Dream!

We spent 10 days in this B&B to discover Toronto and we were thrilled! Alan and Jamie are really two very nice people who care very much about the comfort of their guests. They are adorable and we will never thank them enough for letting us share so much! We will miss them so much! Jamie is a very good cook and cook delicious breakfasts! This B&B is really ideally located and we visited the city on foot and public transportation. Do not take into account the negative reviews because they were really posted by stupid and mean people! This is a B&B not a hotel! We warmly recommend this friendly place where we will not hesitate to visit our friends again!

That's perfect.

A wonderful stay at Seaton Dream. Fab hosts with an outstanding breakfast. The rooms are 5 star comfort, tasteful decorated, we even had a balcony! Easy walk into the city. Would highly recommend staying here.
