When we arrived with our cars, the owner started shouting instantly that our cars were not parked correctly. He did not even start normally and started acting crazy and shouting in German only without addressing it normally. 

Then after, every time we saw him he had something to say about something we did, while we weren’t even doing anything, especially in the breakfast room. 

The female owner was alright, but the male owner was only shouting all the time to us, while he was somewhat friendly with the german-speaking guests. I’d never recommend this place to non-German speakers.

Very clean rooms, great location next to the runway, very good breakfast with lots of choice. The staff and the hosts were very friendly. The hotel also has a garage.

It's nice to be back at the Alpine Hotel Erika.

Our group of 7 people, arrived at Alpenhotel Erika in Ischgl on Sat 25 Feb. Checked in and found that the heated towel rack was not working. The following morning on our way to ski, I reported it to the owner, Patritzia who very reluctently said that she would take a look. We arrived back from the slopes at 17h30 upon which I realized that the rack was still not working. Once again I went to report the issue to Patritzia, who was having drinks with her friends at the bar. She was clearly irritated and called her husband Max,  who is totally illiterate in English. He stormed up to our room, barged in without knocking, ( while my wife was getting dressed in the bathroom) mumbled something in German and then turned on the other boiler unit in the room and stormed out. I was still in the reception area when he returned and said that we are stupid seeing that we had not switched it on. The whole situation errupted into a nasty verbal argument. Whereafter they said we should check out if we were not happy. The next morning ( towel rack still not working) I went for breakfast when Max said that his wife Patritzia was ready to check us out. I went to her and explained that there was no other accommodation available and therefor we could not check out. The rest of the stay was a nightmare with bad attitudes and the inability to speak or understand English. We have been skiing in Austria for 15 years and this is by far the worst Hotel we have ever stayed in. They only cater for German and Austrian guests and connot converse in English. We will never go back!!!

Never Again!!!!

Our group of 7 adults, arrived at the Hotel and were checked in. The following morning when we awoke I realised my towel rack was not working. I went to the owner Patritzia and reported it. She was not very friendly and asked me whether I had turned it on( Which I had). She then reluctantly said that she would take a look. We arrived back at the hotel from the ski alopes on the firat day,  at about 18.00 and found that it was still not working. I then went down to reception to inform the owner, whom was having a drink with her friends in the reception. She was very irritated and said that she had forgot, called her huaband Max, whom does not speak or understand english. He rushed up into our room and barged in whilst my wife was busy getting dressed in the bathroom. Shouted a few words in German, fiddled with the other boiler and stormed out of the room back to reception where he said that nothing is wrong and that we were stupid. He started shouting at us in German eventually causing a very bad situation. The next morning at breakfast he told me in broken english to check out of the hotel. I then went to his wife Patritzia and explained that the towel rack was still not working and that there was no othee accomodation in Ischgl and thwrwfor we could not check out. We stayed but things only got worse...This is the worst hotel in Austria if you are not  German or Austrian...the staff do NOT speak or understand english and do not assist at all. Will NEVER go back again and would certainly never recomend this Circus!!

Alpenhotel Erika Anti English!

Good location of the hotel right on the ski slope. Staff is trying to do their thing well. The boss is probably a cholerist in a negative sense, besides being anything but hospitable and also quite loud and not professional towards the staff. The shower was so small that a larger person had trouble standing up in it. Breakfast was moderate-okay. Price/performance is not right - but in Ischgl you can ask for what you want and at the same time offer bad service. The guests come anyway...

Where the host as a guest feels anything but welcome

Hotel location is perfect.Rooms are big clean and they have a good balcony.Breakfast is more than enough. Of course the prices is for this hotel very good.You can't easily make  a reservation.Try it at September

Ski in ski out

We booked several rooms there, some for a whole week, some for only 4 days. On the fourth day, the expatriates wanted to spend half a day on the runway and then take a quiet shower before leaving, in the room of the colleague who stayed longer. This was after a fierce argument and speeches from the landlord like ...typical German (the slurs I'm sticking with) with an additional 10,- per head! Even for too long parks on the day of departure, 20,- was calculated, although the underground garage was not full and we only had 2 cars for 3 rooms!

Unfriendly like nowhere else in Ischgl

We booked the hotel for our next skiing trip in december.

The hotel comfirmed our booking and wanted a deposit 100€/person.

After a while they sent us a cancelation.  :-(
The reason: 
some guests that are often there changed their booking. 

We tried to contact the hotel to check our possibilities but there was no help at all. First they told us nobody who could help us is availible and now they don't pic up the phone.

Wir haben das Hotel gebucht und auch die Bestätigung dafür erhalten mit der Aufforderung eine Anzahlung zu machen. 

Einige Tage später wurde uns dann eine Absage gesendet, da Stammgäste wohl ihren Urlaub umgebucht hätten.

Auf unsere Rückfragen für andere/ weitere Möglichkeiten war niemand mehr für uns erreichbar und an's Telefon geht auch keiner.

Wir sind maßlos enttäuscht! 
Hier gibt es wohl Gäste erster und zweiter Klasse.

Daher lieber Finger weg bevor die Enttäuschung groß ist...

Very disapointing!/ Sehr enttäuschend!

First of all, the good thing is that the hotel is in a relatively good location in a few minutes walking to the runway. The rooms are clean and breakfast is ok. However, one day one of our group found it and showed it to the owner. He took it away without apologizing. Now we're also on the negative part. On the evening of our last skit, we wanted to go to the sauna as we would every day to shower there before we left. The owner then stormed in and closed the door or introduced himself there and wanted to have a total of ten minutes for the shower user, so a total of 40 euros. But after a long discussion we didn't find that and we only have to pay 20 euros for the 10 total.

Erika never again / never again

I've never seen the hotel manager treat his guests and staff like this before! The young East European employees were badly messed up in the breakfast room and yes, everyone noticed. However, we also got into the taste of his ruling unfriendly noisy way. It was our departure day when we, a group of 4 including a child, came from skiing and wanted to shower before the long drive (which is obvious). Our rooms were already cleared up in the morning. So the owner stopped us in front of the shower and tried to forbid us to get cleaned.
