Hotel disappointing - We booked for a Triple Deluxe room and we had a single twin with an extra bed, while we had two children. The receptionist told us that he cancelled the booking without any news from us. And he asked us to go see the hotel next door! And finally, he realized that he had not taken the right booking number. Breakfast from 7:00 to 9:00 and not 9:30, as the receptionist announced. Dirty room, full of dust and hair around the beds.. they wonder how the treatment is done. We stayed two nights instead of three, no effort was made by the hotel manager. I do not recommend this hotel as a location!

Firstly very poorly received in the evening by the doorman of the night service. He groans but does not want to get up from his chair, does not understand anything, does not check my reservation and assigns me a room, wants to keep my passport but I refuse. Room with a very small window that overlooks a well of light. Literia OK. refrigerator, closet, TV. Spacious bathroom with bathtub, but the evacuation must not be connected or large nearby because the shower water ends up splashing into the room. This is probably why there is no charge, because the discharge of the water would be catastrophic.

Cheating, cheating, and bad faith

Anh Tam Hotel  (Brother Tam Hotel), This Hotel were great as it located at the District one near Ben Thanh Market and Night Market. Great location, This Hotel is More likely like a guesthouse or Like a home as the Staff there From Front office to Housekeeping 
are Friendly even they cant speak english or mandarin it a challenge for us to speak to them but we used hand gesture to speak to them. Only Handful of the Staff able to speak english.as for room were clean but there few hidden area were not clean but you can let the Housekeeping to Clean them, they willing to come back to clean them
the hotel Atmosphere feel like your Home or Relative. We stay total of 4 day 3 night with total for 4 Rooms , 3 Deluxe Rooms and 1 Family Suite Room. 
Hotel has been standing for more that 10 years (2008). even the hotel looked old but they are still maintained and Hotel is Under Upgrading and refurbish, Breakfast were just basic Bread toast,Half Boiled,Scrambled Egg, Fried Rice And Noodle.
and all the Product is halal even they not halal certified. Breakfast start at 7am till 1030 am at the Rooftop. Hotel Staff very proactive to assist with our Luggages, do give them tips. Need to improved the Service Standard to be exists in the Hotel Industry. looking forward for the Improvement.    

Thing to be improved:

1) Hotel Reception to smile and Greet Guest in English/Malay/ Mandarin/ Vietnam

2) Staff were sleeping at the lobby during night Shift Maybe can place 2 person to help 
    up for night Shift as if safety for guest,for stranger to come in. 

3) Housekeeping to report any fault or damage in the property

4) Walkway corridor is to small incase for emergency guest will be trip over and injury
     install a Cupboard for housekeeping to place Liner and Blanket. 

5) Aircon at the lobby were not service and the Stairs at the Lobby Entrance were not 
    even there crack and chips. 

6) Food have a Basic Morning Breakfast Like Eggs,Bread,Oats,Cereals
     Coffee,Milk,tea,HoT Chocolate.

Great

I have not stayed at this hotel yet. My husband helped made booking to this hotel. My friends and I are due to arrive next week 16 November 2018. There were some matters which I need to clarify and resolve prior to our arrival. I have requested through Agoda on this matters in  September 2018, of which, Agoda confirmed that there has been no response from An Tam Hotel so far. I asked Agoda to contact the hotel again but still no response.

Having personally emailed to the hotel with same result, I can only think of writing on this platform, hoping that the An Tam hotel representative would read and contact us (Agoda or my husband) soonest. Please refer to booking ID above. I worry that if things are not resolved, there may be difficulty with the rooms booked.

I was travel with my mom and my sister last friday and booked the hotel via expedia few months ago. I have not received any cancellation but I was shocked when the receptionist told me that the room is not available and the hotel is fully booked for the weekend. She suggested to move us to another hotel which located at another area. We are so upset as alternative hotel is not meet our requirements which is location. Hence, we rejected the offer and ask her to find another hotel which this area. While waiting for her to find us a room at our preferred location, we went for shopping. When we come back at 3pm, the room is ready but at higher level which is L7. We initially ask for lower level instead of higher level. The room is ok except for the shower. The shower condition is not good and water pressure is low. The bell boy also provide wrapping service with as low as RM8 for small size and RM10 for big size bag. Overall the location is ok but they need to improve the some of facility and also communication. If they are not able to accomodate the booking, please set the limit. People choose the hotel for so many reason and do not assume that by offering other room is the same as the one that they already booked and choose.

AVOID this hotel as possible

1. Booked a standard double room. Beds are big. Little space to roam though.
2. The bathroom is good. Toiletteries were provided.
3. Room and bathroom are well ventilated. Hence, smoking is allowed. 
4. Great location - a stone’s throw to Ben Thanh market, Halal eateries, souvenir shop.
5. Within Grab/Uber radius
6. Mini bar is filled with bottle water & juice. Replenish everyday.
7. Helpful staff. 
8. Housekeeping was done everyday.

Must try: Vietnamese coffee, Pho, local fruits. 
Must do: Stay polite, dont give in to street vendors, drink a lot of water, wear face mask if you plan to wander around town.

Pleasant stay

The “new” rooftop bar...haha. Went up and they said were closed for a “soft opening”, that’s funny. Rude. Terrible. Staff was the worst. There were people up there drinking and having fun, not just locals. I think they just didn’t want to serve me because I was alone and a women. Don’t go here!!!

Worst bar ever!!! Stay away!!

Situated just right on Malaysia street where lots of Malaysians had their fun shopping. 2 mins walk to Ben Thanh market. Lots of halal joints in front of the hotel. Bedroom was quite good and aircond temperature was cold enough for me.

Great location

My friend and I stayed at An Tam Hotel for three nights. We were welcomed by a very friendly and sweet looking receptionist. The location is very much convenient, especially if you're looking for halal food, particularly Malaysian styled. And very near to Benh Thanh Market as well. Only about 2 minutes of walking if you must ask. On our last day, the receptionist even helped printing our boarding passes, and called a cab for us to go to the airport. Would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable, couldn't ask for more

This is an excellent hotel with an incredibly polite staff! They are very confident in communicating in English, which is a rarity for Vietnam! We were also transferred from the standard room to the supermarket for free as a gift for guests from other countries!!!! Excellent location near the ben than market, plus on the street where the hotel is located there is a small tent town with local food
