We stayed for a week, no complaint at all, good size of the room, balcony, very good breakfast and in the hart of the city but with free on side parking. Wifi works perfect, little kitchen is very handy. Only the shower is bit small so does the water. But it really does not bother us too much.

Lovely apartment for longer stay

The location is simply put perfect. The main street of the city right through a doorway and a cozy quiet courtyard with parking below the rooms. Several of the rooms have a view of the castle which is pretty impressive especially at night.
The staff were very friendly and did absolutely everything to make sure we had a great stay.
The rooms were very clean - the hotel in general was tightly kept.

A few of the employees were not the best English speakers which can make it a bit tricky if you don’t speak English - to be fair though that is nitpicking considering everything else.

We will certainly be recommending the hotel to everyone we know.

A Great Experience

Highly recommended if you want to stay in a spacious appartment during your visit in Wernigerode.
Ok, the furniture might be a bit outdsted, but that is a minor detail when everything is counted in.
First of all - what a friendly owner/staff. I don't think the word "problem" exist at this hotel. "Use our bikes free of charge". "Do you wan't to go on a hike? Come here, I will  make you a route on the map"... 
The breakfast was good as well.
And the appartement is placed in the middle of the main street of Werningerode. A very nice town. Free parking in a closed aera outside the hotel. 
Again - a very good choice.

A perfect apartment

Nice hotel in the middle of Wernigerode. You should definitely try to get one of the renovated/new rooms as the old ones are significantly less comfortable. As the hotel is in the middle of the town surrounded by a small street with restaurants it can be rather loud if you prefer to sleep with open windows (No climatisation!)

Other than our GPS being slightly confused as to the location of this hotel, we had a wonderful experience here.  The office was not staffed when we arrived at 20:00 but quickly responded to our phone call placed with their phone in the lobby and we were showed to our room directly. (English spoken by at least one staff member) The free parking right below our room was a plus.  Our room was VERY spacious, and the beds comfortable.  The living room area was a nice place to congregate and watch TV, and the kitchen was large and well-equipped.  Bathroom was very clean!  This would have been a perfect place to hang out for several days, but our schedule only allowed for one night.  Internet was free in common areas of hotel (buffet room and office).  The best perk, however, was the amazing breakfast buffet!  Absolutely delicious food with a large variety of options--everything fresh and appealing (fruit, breads, yogurts, toppings, eggs, sausages, cheeses, several juices, sweets, etc.)  It was definitely the best breakfast we had all week in Germany!

Wonderful place to stay

We have now visited Apart Hotel Wernigerode for the 3. time in 3 years. If we return to the area, it will still be our 1. choice. The location at the end of the pedestrian street, and yet quiet, is perfect. The rooms are big (we have now tried 3 diferent rooms), and so is the bath-room. In winther time I miss heated floors in the bathroom, and a tub would have nice. Breakfast is very good, served in a cosy breakfast room. Service at reception and breakfast are good, although English seems to be non-spoken language. Cleanliness is at the very best. Parking at the court-yard is ok. They now have a wi-fi with a coverage limited to not all rooms. Worked great in room 15. Some rooms have a view to Wernigerode Castle, most to the court-yard.

Still a great hotel

What a great place.  Comes with bikes for the whole family.  Totally friendly and clean.  Vacation apartments with lots of room, a balcony, breakfast, and located in the center of town. Totally recommend this place for a great place with a family.  Visit Thale for extra family fun.  The Brocken Train is very expensive, but worth it if you have come all the way from the USA.  Other things visit Goslar and other really cute towns.
