We were looking forward to three weeks’ vacation in Rovinj. Upon arrival, cleaning was very bad. There were dirt on the toilette ring, the sink in the bathroom and a lot of dirt on the floor. When complaining (being nice to the host) she got very angry yelling we were wrong and that it was clean. She compared Croatia with her travels to India (meaning the low standard and pointed out how spoiled we are) and also said if we were not happy we should do the cleaning ourselves. Or leave. She gave us an ultimatum. Two days later we found a note on our door saying that we were not allowed to use the air conditioning during the night (it was 30 degrees Celsius during the night) because of the “acoustic sound disturbing the neighbours below”. We booked for 20 nights but left after 3 days. During the last two days we tried to contact her by phone and knocking at her door to pay and get our passports back but she ignored us completely. Then we got a nice apartment via another agency and she agreed to it so we only paid for three nights. We recommend you to stay away from Grace if you want a nice vacation in the lovely town of Rovinj. There are plenty of good apartments elsewhere.

The outstanding service experienced at Apartments Grace deserve a special mention.

We lost our car key and some belongings on the beach. The whole host family sprung into action to try and assist us, culminating in Marin the owner leaving work early to drive me to Slovenia for 2 hours to retrieve a second key.

This sort of service was completely unexpected. The whole family went above and beyond to help us in a difficult and stressful situation. We are most grateful to Marin and his family who thought is was just part of being in the industry. The genuine care experienced makes Apartment Grace a stand out example of hospitality.

The apartments are modern, comfortable and very clean as the hostess cleans them herself. The location is a short walk from town centre about 1km and the beach 800m. A Konzum supermarket is next door.

Going above and beyond with genuine hospitality

It's a large room with a balcony, quiet and centrally located, it's been here for four days, garbage was not disposed of, there's no cleaning, beds are good, kitchen is equipped with everything, four nights is $270 a night.
