We stayed four (4) nights here on our month long tour of Croatia, using Rovinj as a base to explore the Istria Region.  We visited Porec, a few hilltowns, Pula and of course, lovely Rovinj. If I had to do anything differently, I would have added an additional day.

Our one bedroom apartment was located on the ground floor and we were able to park right next to it which made unloading our bags stress free.  There were two (2) terraces, one in the front, and another in the back off of the bedroom.

The unit was well appointed and spotless, we even cooked a few meals in an attempt to keep costs down.  There was plenty of space to store our suitcases and spread out without the unit looking too cluttered.  

The bed was comfortable and the bedroom also had a small sitting area.  There was a door separating the bedroom from the kitchen/bathroom area so as an early riser, I could make my coffee, and plan the day’s adventures without disturbing my husband.  I did all the planning and he drove the car in return.

There are nine (9) units for rent in this complex, each with its own independent entrance, and it is situated in a residential area.  The hosts also live on site and Vedran was present when we arrived, guiding us into our parking space, and made us feel welcomed over several drinks while giving us lots of information about the nearly beaches and all the beautiful sites to visit around Rovinj and the Istria Region.  We did not even have to go to the tourist bureau after speaking with him.

Apartments Modrusan is well located to tour the Istrian Region and there is a well-stocked grocery store within walking distance.  It will take about 25 minutes to reach the historic district if one wishes to walk, or you can take one of the available bikes.  We preferred to drive in as parking costs were very reasonable.

My only complaint was the noise from the family renting the unit above us.  Each morning, quite early, the child would begin his day by running around the unit and dragging some toy (a car?) across the flooring.  Annoyed at not being able to sleep past 6am, I would make my coffee and go sit outside and enjoy the songs of the birds.  


Stay here - you will like it

They had a studio in the attic. Despite the cool outside temperatures, the apartment was very warm thanks to central heating. Spacious and clean rooms. Balcony on both sides, so always sun and shade as desired. Friendly landlord. Anytime happy to return, also due to the super location to the beach, forest and old town as well as supermarkets.

Spacious clean apartments

The apartments are simple, comfortable, clean and air-conditioned. They are part of a single structure but have independent entrances and terraces. They are located a couple of kilometers from the center which is easily reached by the bicycles that the structure makes available and free of charge or even on foot. You can leave the car in the inner garage and forget it x the whole holiday if you decide to stay in Rovigno.

Good accommodation

Exactly two years later we returned to the Modrusan family and as then everything was perfect.

And as I promised, we're back.

Friendly reception. Generous app. With seven kitchen and bedroom. Terrace and seating in front of the house. Parking at the house. Supermarket and two restaurants five minutes away. Sea about 15 minutes on foot, Old Town along the sea about 30 minutes.

Pleasant apartments in quiet residential area

Gentle owners, give us the relevant explanations and a bottle of welcome wine of your harvest. Free bicycles, although they were not doing well. Free parking inside the property. The room was very clean although very old, in need of a refurbishment. We had no gel, and toilet paper was scarce. The bathroom smelled pretty much like a cafeteria. Far from downtown and near the beaches. Plenty of mosquitoes.

Reforms are needed.

We had just spent two weeks in Modrusan and felt really good, like at home. The first week's apartment No. 7 was really nice and spacious, on the second floor with a view of the sea in the distance. The second week's apartment No. 5 was on the first floor, a little smaller but equally well-arranged. Both very clean and well-furnished, complete with everything you need even in the kitchen. Free Wi-Fi, bicycles available and indoor parking.

Good choice

This place will become our second home ☺☺☺. The owners are kind and available. The new apartments. Free bicycle service!!!!!!!! Two steps from the center and the sea. I look forward to coming back.
