For years in Lech am Arlberg on vacation, we have never lived better. The apartments are really nice, especially clean and very comfortable. It has everything you need. A well-equipped kitchen, a beautiful balcony with a wonderful view, bread service in the morning, a lot of space and storage space. The bus station is right in front of the front door, which is also very convenient. The price-performance ratio is excellent. We would like to highlight in particular the comfortable beds in which we slept so wonderfully. Our special wishes were made very friendly and flexible immediately. Thank you very much, dear family assistants!

It's wonderful.

The apartments in this well-maintained house are well equipped. The size is ok and the location to the next supermarket is also fine. Wlan is working perfectly. Parking is available, with avenues it would be possible to get there as well. In barely 10 minutes you are in the village. Buses and mountain trains are also perfectly accessible. The reception was very friendly, even a bread service is offered. The apartment is cleaned regularly, which we found extremely pleasant. Price/performance is excellent, which you can't say in Lech everywhere. We were very satisfied.

Best suited for hiking holidays

Our family of four has had two wonderful stays at Appartement Spullersee, one in the summer and one in the winter.  The rooms are spacious and well appointed, with a kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and plenty of storage.  Most recently, we came for a ski trip with two teenage boys and it was a perfect setup for all of us to have plenty of personal space as well as storage space for all of our winter clothes and gear.  The ski room is just a few steps from the free bus which comes every 20 minutes.  We took the bus to the mountain in the mornings, and skied home every day.  We were able to cook dinner in our apartment most nights, which helped both our wallet and waistlines, after a big, delicious breakfast in the hotel and lunch in one of the mountain huts.  It’s a 5 to 10 minute walk to the supermarket and the main commercial area, so we generally walked when we weren’t carrying skis.   The Spullersee is right on the crystal clear Lech river with beautiful views of the Omeshorn, the iconic mountain of Lech.  

I highly recommend taking the breakfast, which is in a charming, sunny room with beautiful Austrian woodwork, tablecloths and a delicious selection of breads, meat, cheeses, fruit, yogurt, and hot egg dishes, with many juices and a civilized coffee and tea service.  The proprietors are friendly and fluent in English.  We were in Lech for Valentine’s Day and they made the day special, with roses throughout the hotel, rose petals, prosecco and chocolates in our room, and Valentines decorations and treats at breakfast.  The service here is top notch without being stuffy or aloof.  There is a real feeling of connection here, and many families come back year after year.

Be Welcomed Like Family

We had the great pleasure of spending a week in one of the Appartments in House Spullersee. Really well functioning house with big and spacious appartments and cleaning each day. We was very well received by the owner/landlady and service is very high. Facilities are many and all is working smoothly and perfect. Location is also really good. You can either walk 100 m to the nearest lift (uphill though) or take the bus right outside the building. We would come back any time. Prices are at the high end of "mid-range" but it is all worth it. Breakfast can be available as an option or you can have fresh bread delivered each morning to the appartment.

Spacious and very clean appartments

We stayed here for a week because we booked too late to get our usual place in Lech and were pleasantly surprised with Spullersee Appartments. Very friendly and attentive staff - they even placed a little treat on my son's pillow every day! Very comfortable beds, nice kitchen, dishwasher, stove and large fridge although no microwave (not like we did a lot of cooking, though). I was particularly happy to use the Nespresso type machine which made excellent coffee. It is about 10 minutes walk (beautiful scenery!) from the heart of the village but if that is too much for you, or you have little kids to bring to the ski school, you can take advantage of the excellent village bus service (blue bus no 2) that stops right in front of the house and runs frequently all day long.

Would I go back? Sure!

Great value, comfortable Alpine style appartments

After fifteen years the first skiing holidays in an appartment. When skiing in Lech one can hardly avoid a nice lunch on the slopes, so half board hotel regimen with dinner results in a few extra kilos. Pure lodgings are far better. You go out dining if you feel so, otherwise you get yourself some top wine, appropriate cheese and prosciutto and enjoy the company.

So Spullersee was the ideal reentry. Well located a few metres above the local creek and facing south on the road to the nearby Zug, the house holds 15 appartments of various sizes. Ours had two bedrooms and two bathrooms as well as a sizeable balcony. Car can be left in the garage, though it is definitely somewhat small for the capacity of the house, even considering the four outside parking lots. The village centre (and the well stocked Pfefferkorn grocery, with a good choice of wines and a sommelier to help you) can be reached in 8 minutes on foot, the ski bus leading to the key system entry points stops every 20 minutes exactly at the house door. If your skiing level is slightly above the average, you can also ski-in.

Reception by the landlady was warm and efficient, the place is very well kept (cleaning every day, cosmetic kits in both bathrooms steadily replaced). Wireless works well, more or less. The only item that was less than optimal was TV. The one in the daily room was OK, there was none in one bedroom, and the one in the other could only be used if your sight matches the eagle's -  due to its minuscule size. I would also hope for far better wine glasses, as the fine wines we consumed lost 80% of their expression on improper small tulip-shaped glasses. Mid-size Spiegelau glasses are a cheap acceptable solution to the problem.

Otherwise, everything was great. Also every appartment had its own locked ski box in the ski room, boots warming was on constantly. Pastries are brought to your door every morning upon previous order. You can also enjoy the breakfast they make at an extra payment if you feel like doing nothing at all. We complained about knives being blunt, we got much sharper ones in no time.

A jolly good alternative

Excellent accommodation for holidaymakers who want to stay flexible when eating. Very clean, absolutely friendly staff, spacious, spacious enough spa - hard to recommend!
