We really enjoyed our stay in the rented apartment in this establishment. The environment is very quiet because the establishment is located a little away from the center but only 5 minutes walk away. Our apartment had a very nice view of the resort and the mountains. It included 2 bedrooms, a bathroom (with separate toilet) that was quite spacious and comfortable, and a well-equipped living room/cooking corner. We only regretted having a microwave instead of a traditional oven. The service/price ratio was fully satisfied, the cleanliness of the premises was impeccable and the accommodation was very friendly. We especially learned that the owner would not let us know about the pleasant pandemic, and we had a pleasant stay in the last minute.

Comfortable apartment with a beautiful view

We stayed for one week in the apartment, extending our stay 3 times, we liked it so much. Apartments are placed very close to the centre of Mayrhofen, in a quieter park providing amazing view at the Panken.  Room we occupied  had a big, sunny terrace with a beautiful view. It was renovated, with fully equipped kitchen, spacious, clean and comfortable. Hotel also have a small gym, nice bicycles you can take for a ride, for winter time there's a ski room with boot heaters.
The staff are accommodating, friendly and helpful. They gave us great recommendations for hikes, restaurants, helped with our every request (big thanks for turning on the boot heaters when we came completely soaked from a hike). 
I'm definitely going to return there!

Perfect place to stay

Booking accommodation online can be a lucky packet and we had a nasty surprise at our last place (review to follow shortly). 

We walked into Apparthotel Koenig to enquirer about rooms and were greeted by a warm and smiling owners. 

The room is spotlessly clean, quiet and has a beautiful view. 
It is modern and has great finishes and everything you could want... a private balcony,awesome shower and bathroom, decent size kitchen fitted with new appliances, lots of cupboard space, a room for our bicycles and the list goes on.

Location wise, it’s perfect. 250m easy walk to the Main Street and shops but set back that it’s silent and all you can hear is birds and the river. We slept every night with our windows wide open. Walks and cycle trails are on the door step.. literally.

The family that look after you are wonderful... super friendly and helpful. We honestly had the best stay. 4 nights wasn’t long enough, we wish we could have stayed longer.

This truly is a little gem in Mayrhofen and we will definitely be back. Thank you for giving us such a fabulous 4 days.



Thank goodness we found this place!

I stayed at Apparthotel Koenig for one week and I had the best accommodation experience. From the really comfy room to an outstanding service I can highly recommend this place. The view from all rooms is just unbelievable! The mountains are right in front of you with its unique colours. The landscape around the hotel is breathtaking! I can say this is just a perfect place to take your partner, family, and friends. There are so much to do around the hotel (cable cars are just around the corner, shops, etc) and there are activities all year round. The location is perfect! I went there during autumn, but I will definitely come back for the snow season. I felt very welcomed during all my stay and I had the best time!

An outstanding experience!

For skiing holidays, it is highly recommended! Travel time to the racetrack and shopping is about 5-10 minutes (bergab.;-)), otherwise a bus stop is nearby. We had an apartment type 2 - pleasant size for self-catering, beautiful views over the valley, balcony, new sauna area, ski area,... In advance quick and friendly handling of (on) questions, family and professional. Nice - happy to be back!

Skiing holiday in March 2017

We had an appartment Type 2. Lovely appartment with 2 balconies, separate bathroom and toilet and a living kitchen. Bed in living kitchen i little bit to short, so if you are higher then 1,65 m it wouldn't be very confortable. Kitchen has all what you need, excl. microwave and dishwasher. Flat TV has huge amount of international channels. Great view on the Penken. 10 minutes to go to Benkenbahn station, 15 minutes- to Ahornbahn station, 15-20 minutes - to railway station. Nearest supermarket is in front of Penkenbahn station. Free Wlan

Nice place to stay for ski holidays

We were lucky enough to be allocated this traditional family run hotel when we visited for the Snowbombing festival (and friends stag do) as this was one of the nicer hotels on offer. The owners speak good English and were very helpful with any queries we had. The village of Mayrhofen and the main resort are also excellent in terms of facilities.

It is situated a few mins off the main street near the main Penkenbahn lift. This not only meant that it was close to all the main resort ski lift, but close to the supermarket and restaurants while being in a location that was quiet and had amazing views of mountains from the balconies/terraces.

Our room had a small/basic kitchen which is enough to allow you to cook something simple like a cooked breakfast (I think outside of the Snowbombing festival period breakfast is provided downstairs). However the food in the village is very good and quite affordable that eating out in the evening is well worthwhile most days.

We (adult + two teenagers) stayed for a week in Apparthotel Koenig for a ski holiday. Perfect and a quite location. It is about 5 minutes walking distance from the main lift, and it has a ski room where you can keep yours (although we've used a facility adjacent to the lift). The small kitchen is well equipped, and we've cooked extensively for ourselves.

Perfect spot for a ski holiday

My wife and I have just returned from a week-long holiday in Mayrhofen, we were also at the Apparthotel Suzanne Koenig, looking out over the huge views of the green mountains and the village of Finkenheberg, right below us was a greenhouse with the hosts Werner and Suzanne Koenig. The hotel is small and traditional, inside and out, and is colourful. The rooms are flawlessly clean, with its own shower and very well equipped. Our terrace balcony also looked out over the huge views of the green mountains and the village of Finkenheberg, right below us was a greenhouse with the hosts Werner and Suzanne Koenig, all within the city of Zurich.

Excellent hotel! Excellent apartments! The place is very convenient! Beautiful view from the windows! Remarkable terraces. Acceptable prices. Excellent service! The rooms are neither hot nor cold, very comfortable. We stayed there twice. Restaurants and cafes are not far away. SPAR is nearby. This store, like all shops in Europe, has a big disadvantage - it closes at seven o'clock at night. Very uncomfortable.
