Although various sites said staff spoke english the staff we met spoke none to us. It was a game of using sign language and hoping we made ourselves understood. Room was dirty with mould on walls and in bathroom. No towels offered. Bedroom door not at all secure. A five year old could've broken the door in. Stayed out after 11 and had to ring doorbell to get back in on 2 nights ( back before midnight) So much for 24 hour reception !! The receptionists were not happy and just muttered something at us. Supposed to be croissants in kitchen for breakfast. Both mornings none there.
On the plus side it wasn't too far to walk to Rynok Square and some of the bars.

Average facilities. Cleanliness an issue.Place needs serious redecorating !!

Very good store, very surprised, quality at the top, prices within reasonable limits, bought an iPad, it works very well, everyone is happy, I'll buy your products again, thank you very much.

We stayed for two nights. Although it's 10 minutes from downtown, it's hard to find, and you can wander around. We stayed in two local rooms with a separate bathroom. The room isn't clean enough, the bed isn't new, the furniture isn't new enough: we made it out of what it was. But there's a good wifi, a common kitchen. It's budget-friendly. Sound insulation isn't very good: you can hear the neighbors and what's going on in the backyard. My husband and I can't stop there anymore.

It's budget-friendly and in the center, but there are downsides.

Location: 5 minutes from the Opera House, so it's almost downtown. True, it was hard to find from the train station. A two-seater room with a bathroom, a working towel dryer, two small towels (for two people) high ceilings, a bed and a couch.

A cultural trip to a beautiful city

Stayed for a weekend with my friends. When we arrived they weren't sure where to put us. Our rooms were in a section of the hostel where the electricity was cut out. So they moved us to nicer rooms. There were few other guests in the place at the time so it didn't really matter.

For something like 13 gbp a night I had a double room to myself with an ensuite. The internet connection was intermittent and slow. We got crossaints in the morning though I kind of wanted to eat breakfast in a cafe somewhere anyway. It's quite close to the center. A 5 minute walk from where the protests were going on at the time.

Unfortunate facilities but friendly receptionist and in all decent value

We stayed at the Apple hostel twice with a group of 40 students. The lovely, attentive staff helped to solve any issues related to the stay in Lviv (excursions, transfer to the train station, food). Despite the night arrival, we were accommodated very quickly, all our wishes were taken into account. The rooms, and the hotel in general, have everything necessary. The location of the hostel is very convenient: 5 minutes walk to the opera theater and the Market Square. The place is quiet. Very grateful to Yaroslav for the care, attention and patience.

We stayed in this hostel for Christmas holidays in a group of 40 people. We were very happy with the service. The staff paid attention to each holidaymaker.

A Christmas story.

Stayed here for one night.  Rooms pretty average and if you don't speak Ukranian or Russian it will be difficult to communicate with the staff, though they are friendly and will try to help.  Beds were not comfortable.

The small hostel is located in a quiet location on the edge of the city centre. The atmosphere is very friendly, friendly, sometimes improvising and the price is fair. You can walk to the opera in a few minutes. The staff speak English.

Family hostel in a quiet location

We've spent one night in Hostel Apple and it was very nice and comfy stay. The man at the reception was really kind and helpful, he showed us everything we needed, gave us many advices about Lviv city, and also showed us the best shops with alkohols. He also was very welcoming, so big plus for him!
Very good price, we paid aroud 6e per person in 4-bed room. Shower was located in the room as well. Towels were provided without any charge, as well as wifi connection - worked fine without problems - good strong access.
What is very important - hot water was all day long and beds were very comfortable, I had a sleep like a baby, without any noise from outside!
The localization was just perfect, safe and quiet, only 5-7 min of walk to Opera House and main street (Prospekt Svobody). So old town could be reached within 10minutes!
No problem with shopping, as many shops were around, opened till late hours (some of them 24/7).

There was absolutely no problem with leaving luggage after check-out time, we could stay at our room much longer so it was really comfortable situation as we were waiting for our bus to Warsaw (which was late at night)

Minuses: Cleanliness - room was just dirty, there was carpet lying on the floor and was completely full of dirt, sand etc. Someone should do a vacuum-cleaning in my opinion.

Anyway it's a good choice for one-night stay.
